I totally agree, and it would be great for this program and these young men. Of course Jeff Co ain't just gonna roll over for us and Bearden is probably better than I want to believe. But we could beat both those teams. Go Govs!!

Before the season, I thought 4 wins was a realistic expectation for WB. After the DB win though, 5 wins or maybe more is a possibility for this team. that was a nice stadium, and a nice win. Willie B will be 3-1 after Friday night, and those boys will start having daydreams of making the third page of the Times after they beat Maryville, with a full two paragraphs of coverage...maybe even some stats shown! Go Govs!

That was a comedy of errors for WB. Just one of those games. I think they lost the ball coming out of the locker room. Yu have a game like that sometimes. I hope to see the boys work hard this week and put together some good games for the end of this season. When you have lost several games it becomes as much about what you are as a man more than what you are as a football player. It would be VERY easy for these boys to give up, but I hope they don't. Go out and give Hardin Valley and Bradley Central all they want...oh yeah and Maryville too

I am still not sold on Bradley. I agree though that Science Hill is a tough opponent, especially at their place. WB will have to play their best game of the year to pull that one out, but they can do it.

The Govs can beat Bradley Central, And Jeff Co. Hardin Valley and Science Hill (Steve Spurrier Community College) will be tougher, but certainly winnable. Then there is Maryville. I don't know which of these games WB will win, but like 91, I think they will win at least a couple of these games. Add a few losses to each other by these same teams and this thing is still up for grabs.

34 points should have won that game. I don't know if there was a lack of effort, but there was a lack of tackling and a lack of excecution. I told my wife before the game that Bearden looked more excited for the game. We had bad body language. We had way too much arm tackling. I am not a big "body language" and "swagger" kind of guy normally, but it looked like we weren't mentally ready to win that game. They certainly gave great effort offensively though, so I don't know if it was an effort problem, or just a bad night defensively. We are better than what we showed Friday night for sure.

WB by 10, which is my standard score prediction...except for the Maryville game. Anyway, I digress. WB might be able to put it together on both sides of the ball. Bearden got em with the passing attack, but I don't think Jeff Co will have the same success. WB offense keeps it rolling and WB gets a big homecoming win. And Gov91 buys a round of chuck wagon steaks at Dubs.

Bearden had. Much better passing attack than any team WB has played this year imho. They have a nice set of receivers. It was unusual too because they don't have one speed burner wide receiver that dominates, but they were all quality receivers. That combined with some coverage mistakes, and we gave up too many big plays that should have been short gains. That loss hurt me badly, because that is one we could have won. I used to get mad and yell a lot. Then I went to a game I didn't have any vested interest in, and I heard others yelling, and decided I must sound really stupid. I have prayed about it much, and don't get mad at these games like I used to. I enjoy the game and life much better now. I still get nervous for my boy though. Me and the Lord are still working on that one

A WB player landed on a fumble. Same player came out of the pile with the fumble. Ball was awarded to Heritage. I still can't explain it.

What happens?!!! I was off the board for a couple days and a fistfight broke out! I do counseling sessions if anyone needs my services For a "nominal" fee of course On second thought, I will just watch from the parking lot too.

Does anyone know much about Bearden. I have seen their scores and their record, but that can only tell you so much about a team. What are their strengths and weaknesses? What chance does anybody give them. Do they even have any fans on Coach T? I haven't heard from them yet? Where is the trash talk? Gov91 hasn't had to defend WB once yet! I am with you though 91. GO GOVS!

WB beats Bearden bum pity bump bump

WB. They gained some confidence from last week. The team is still healthy. The running game looked good last week. Defense held a 50 point a game team to 20. I am drinking the Shadorade early this week. Me and Gov91 are joining the cheerleaders for the first half of the Bearden game. Go Govs!

Proud of the WB boys. Great game. Heritage played tough and gave us a hard fought game. Now on to Bearden.

Absolutely right. If I seemed to imply that they can't win because the good players are roaming the hallways, then I did not get my point across. Having those other kids in school playing on the team will make the team better, but the team they have now can play better and play competitively. I believe they will beat Heritage. I also believe they can beat several other teams on their schedule. They need more bodies, but as you put it so eloquently, they also need to cut out personal fouls, turnovers, and above all, don't give up if they get behind. They have the athletes to make some quick strike scores if they give effort on every play. They have skill players that can compete with any school on the schedule. They have run the ball well against some very good defenses. Pass protect better, and make a few more defensive stops and this season would already be much different. Shad is doing it the right way. They are on they way up. Go Govs,

I am in agree with etcoach to some degree. There are limited numbers of athletes. But, WB has a lot of good athletes that aren't playing football. If Shad will walk the halls, and talk the biggest kids he sees into playing football, it would improve his team. Talk the other sports athletes into playing football, he could put a competitive team on the field that would sometimes beat Alcoa or Maryville. Do that enough and eventually your kids quit transferring to those other schools and you beat them perennially.
