  1. Idk about goodpasture but from the outside looking in lipscomb doesn’t put a emphasis on athletics like they use to that’s the only reason I can find they just opened a beautiful indoor facility but clearly it hasn’t helped
  2. Coach Martin probably is gonna roll out his most talented team since the 2014 state championship roster with a D1 player at nearly at every position this year he has a experienced group of seniors to lead the way. The lions boast a very good arsenal of weapons on offense with a experienced and athletic QB a Ohio State bound linebacker seconding as a running back and 2 WR’s with FBS offers outside. The oline has some question marks around it as they lost 3 starters last year but there are plenty of guys ready to step into starting roles. The defense has plenty of talent as well led by a Ohio State and Furman commit. The lions will scrimmage against Maplewood and Springfield before kicking off week one at Stratford followed by a date at home with cross town rivals ensworth who looks to avenge the upset the lions pulled last year.
  3. Webb was just BGA with a olympic sprinter nothing special
  4. Don't care how many straight Lausanne has won they struggled vs a very average FRA team while CPA manhandled Webb. CPA goes to ND for a shot at state CPA had a injury to a BIG player tonight hoping the young man gets good news
  5. Gotta agree with the last post Sams Place is awesome
  6. CPA should win however CAK looks like a team that should be a lot better than their record if they were in the middle region they'd probably be challenging BGA for 2nd should be a good game for CPA to see what type of talent their is in the Knoxville region CPA 35 CAK 14
  7. Is the best team in the middle always gonna have to play the team in Knoxville in the semis if so that not fair to teams like Notre Dame, CPA, Knox Webb and others that they always have to knock off another districts champion to make it while the memphis district champ has a cake walk
  8. Would be stunned if the starters are in past the midway point of the 2nd Goodpasture has taken a major step back from last years team CPA has rolled through their district so far and shouldn't have trouble in Madison Friday night CPA 56 Goodpasture 17
  9. CPA proved and showed why they are a team who will be in Cookeville this year with a pounding of bigger and a more talented team on paper.
  10. Went to the CPA game 55-20 what happened has the coach lost the players?
  11. CPA might be missing 2 starters on its oline who also start on dline could be a big factor in this game
  12. Another big win against another good out of district opponent in 6A Smyrna. Lions won the line of scrimmage and had 3 goal line stands and a blocked kick vs the Bulldogs. CPA now faces maybe its toughest opponent in Pearl Cohn next week as they travel should be a big game
  13. A lot of CPA players are banged up we had 8 or 9 players going both ways agains Ensworth it hard to tell whether the tough out of region schedule is taking a toll on them right now but there are gonna be some key players who aren't 100% Friday Night however I think CPA wins by 2 or 3 touchdowns
  14. Well this thread has spiraled out of control
  15. Thoughts? Knocked off #2 Ensworth they look like a completely different team
  16. CPA travels to ensworth after coming off a impressive 43-12 win over Stratford where the offense and defense looked stellar. Ensworth beat Lipscomb 35-0 Friday night. Last year CPA was ran out of their own stadium by the Tigers but this year they look stronger than ever and desprerly wanna knock off their cross town rival Final Ensworth 31 CPA 21
  17. CPA finished off it's summer scrimmages Friday night in Columbia the starters scored on all 3 of their drives against Lawrence County. They now look into the regular season with a familiar foe Stratford who they beat in the playoffs only 5 weeks after Stratford beat them at CPA. Stratford has lost a lot of players and of course their coach and CPA flexes one of the most talented junior classes in the state. I think the fact that CPA lost so little from last year and the fact that Stratford lost so much will help the Lions win this one. After this one the Lions go to play cross town rival Ensworth who has beaten the lions 2 years straight Score CPA 35 Stratford 17
  18. Don't count out CPA most of their offense from last year is returning
  19. Very excited for CPA to be back in D2 to be playing our old friends at Lipscomb, FRA and BGA should be a great year next year for us as we return most of our team from last year
  20. CPA shows up to Madison and get their revenge CPA 35 GP 10
  21. 32-7 worst loss in the Ingle Martin era
  22. This year looks to be one of the most interesting year since Ingle Martin took over many new starters and plenty of questions to go around. I was at thier scrimmage vs Marshall County and I thought they defiantly had many bright spots the offensive line is athletic and big they were able to open holes and protect give the QB's plenty of time to throw. However the passing game remains a question as they are still rotating QB's and trying to find the right one for the offense. The starting running back was out however the ones who played looked very good in picking holes and getting yards. The secondary was the biggest takeaway from the scrimmage they constantly weren't able to cover the more athletic Marshall County receivers and let a lot of big plays happen from missed tackles on screen passes that should be a weakness for them this year. CPA has a brutal first 6 games they open up with 6A Parkview in Georiga then play Knox Catholic at Vandy and then White House heritage, Pearl Cohn and ensworth so they should have a lot of challenges to begin the year I think they will win the region but I can't see this team right now beating Alcoa
  23. Was at the game MCo was very good with thier screens and open field cuts CPA's Secondary look lost and just scared of the bigger more physical backs and receivers for 7 points I thought CPA's offense looked decent they had some big runs and protected very well on passes
  24. Who wins it looks like it's between Stratford and CPA
