  1. As I said in an earlier post. I knew Farragut would go a few rounds in this tournament based on the way they have been playing lately. It looks like they gave Beech all they could handle too! Great season Lady Admirals! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  2. Ladyad Dad

    Soddy is out

    Farragut Lady Admirals could go all the way!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  3. TSSAA.org has Beech in the losers bracket. I think they meant Bolton. Maybe they will catch the mistake and change it soon.
  4. It was played and Farragut did win 1-0. Box score is posted now on TSSAA.org
  5. Did Houston forfeit?? Why does TSSAA bracket show Farragut advancing to game 9, 1-0. This game wasn't to be played until later. Anybody know?
  6. Farragut is peaking at just the right time and could go a few rounds. They have already beaten Cherokee earlier this year with 3 starters taking ACT tests. If you had seen them beat Maryville, Powell, and Morristown East to get this far you would agree. This team has heart and never gives up. I think they will surprise alot of people. Even Mr. Noitall.
  7. Farragut 5 Powell 3 Maryville 1 Central 0 Farragut will travel to play Maryville (again) on Weds. at Sandy Springs Park. Let's beat them this time Lady Admirals !!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  8. I can see no one in Knoxville really cares anymore because I am replying to my own post!!! Anyway the results are: Championship Game Maryville - 3 Farragut - 2 Regional playoffs Monday 6/12 Maryville will play Central at home Farragut will travel to Powell /mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />
  9. Does anyone have the bracket-schedule and scores for this District tourney?
  10. No, they just don't have all of the scores posted. Look at the rankings and look at the records. Click on a school like one of the top ranked schools link. There are more games with no score posted than posted wins/loses. If they can't come up with all the scores to post rankings then they shouldn't waste their time putting it up. Knoxville teams are obviously not reported because Farragut, Gibbs, and Maryville have very few loses and are not mentioned.
  11. You sure are hung up on this losing thing. You must watch "THe Biggest Loser" on TV. Based on all of your losing posts you seemed to be obsessed with losing. Why don't you change your way of thinking and focus on winning posts instead. It's not too late to change.
  12. Great Job Lady Rebels. If our Lady Admirals can't be there, than there is no other team I would rather see win it all. Congrats Kenhawk, we will be pulling for you and your team in regionals.

    4-AAA

I agree, Ingleby for Player of the year, I am proud of the girls this year. Great offense and defense. Hope they make it to state this year. If they can just get past those pesky Lady Rebels this year. They always show up and play well this time of year. Then if they can get past Central I think they have a shot.
  14. Farragut beat Karns in the championship game 11-0
  15. Congrats to the Farragut Lady Admirals for winning the District 4AAA Championship with a 7-1 win over Heritage. Also congrats to Margaret Morris for being named tourney MVP and to Haley Lewis, Jessie Howard and Abby Rose Martin for making the all tourney team. Farragut will move on to host the runner-up in the district 3AAA finals next Monday. Good luck Lady Admirals!!!!
  16. Farragut has had more home runs hit this year than any year in the past. Margaret Morris 1 Cayla Smith 1 Haley Lewis 1 Chrissy Hannahs 1 Plus a few in pre-season games from Cayla Smith and Rachel Ingleby.
  17. Sure they all count, but we are talking about regular games here. Sorry for the confusion. Pool play games, win or lose are just games to make your team better by playing tough teams that you would not normally play. They do count and they do reflect to a win loss record and stats for hitting and pitching. But teams experiment with lineups and play alot of JV players in these games so when it comes to playing district games we are ready.
  18. 11-2 in district. Only losses were to Heritage earlier in season 3-0 and William Blount 1-0 in 12 innings on throwing error. Also lossed to Alcoa earlier in season in 12 innings. This does not count tourney pool play.
  19. Farragut looks as strong as they have all season right now. Their defense just does not give up runs and they are hitting the covers off of the ball. I think if they can maintain this level thoughout the districts than they will be the team to beat. Shutting out Gibbs twice on Sat. Then Heritage last night And the Lenoir City win tonight 11-0. Farragut can hang with any team out there if they can play their game and not make errors. Should know for sure after we face Maryville again tomorrow night just how good we are.
  20. Farragut and Gibbs played a double header Saturday at Farragut since the Cookeville tourney was called off due to rain. Both games were close but Farragut came out on top in the end. Here are the scores. Game 1 Farragut 1 Gibbs 0 Game 2 Farragut 3 Gibbs 0
  21. Farragut 1 WB 0 Run for Farragut was scored in the 7th on a wild pitch. Jessie Howard stole home and slid into the tag knocking the ball loose. Great defensive game by both teams.
  22. 1. Jessie Howard 3B 2. Margaret Morris P 3. Chrissy Hannahs CF 4. Rachel Ingleby DP/P 5. Keri Meade RF 6. Cayla Smith LF 7. Abby Rose Martin C 8. Sarah Young SS 9. Lauren Briody 1B 10. Rachel Mountain 2B Haley Lewis CF currently on DL
  23. Farragut has done well in preseason so far. They have beaten Central,Powell,Karns, Halls,West,Kingston and only lost to Alcoa in late innings after putting in all freshman. Upcoming games against Gibbs on Thurs, Sweetwater on Fri. and Jefferson Co. on Sat should really test the team. Hoping we can do well in the Beech playday on March 10th before regular season play begins the following week. Our catcher is Abby Rose Martin, a sophmore who has really stepped up her play this year. Center field is Haley Lewis who moved over from right.
  24. Way to go Lady Rebels!! You gotta believe! Even though you drew Soddy Daisy in the first game of the Tourney, I believe you can beat them if you play with the drive and heart you have shown up to now. Play small ball and put runs up on their pitching. Then let your defense hold them off. You guys make us proud! Good Luck! BEAT SODDY! thumb
  25. I can't say enough about the heart that Maryville has been showing in the stretch. Congrats to all of the Magic girls that I had the pleasure of helping coach last summer.Becca, Allison, Bre, and Lindsy are putting up some great numbers and leading the younger players to step up. Also, Coach Hawkins has been an inspiration to us all and has shown alot of class. He could have packed it in earlier in the season after losing alot of good players and starting off with a losing record. But it just goes to show that if you never quit and keep a positive attitude, you can overcome anything. Go Lady Rebels!! All of us at Farragut will be pulling for you to take it to State. thumb
