  1. their running back put up 258 yards on us and 200 was staigyt up the middle. The qb is very patient when making his pitches. He took a few very hard hits from us just after the pitch. They run tons of misdirections and fakes. From talking to one of your defensive players, he said they are a lot like Ravenwood on film.
  2. I know there was very little talent. 7 of the top 8 players quit or transferred before the season last year. The one kid that remained didn't even try because he was upset that he didn't join his team mates. This new coach may not be the answer but the players like him better. I will save my judgment on him until I see them play?
  3. If they would've taught you how to read at SC you would've seen that I said he quit because of Bond just as 6 others did for WC. If he played he'd make your weak coach look stupid just like he made your football coach look stupid for going for 2 at the end of the WC game.
  4. I see all this praise for Troy Bond when he won but no one wants to hold him at fault for the last year. This mess at Wilson Central is 100% his fault. He wanted out before last year but couldn't find the right place. He never coached the senior class from last year or this year. That why there were 7 juniors and seniors that left the team last year. I could go on and on about why WC is where they are right now but I will just say they have some very good young players and they will be back.
  5. I'm just happy Wilson Central makes the playoffs this year. If you look at last years district we would be playing Gallatin for probably the last spot. If you accept that we lose to Hendersonville and beat Portland we would 3-3 in the district and playing Gallatin for the last playoff spot. Since Galatin and Beech were both 5A WC would be the third place 6A team in our district and Gallatin would easily qualify for the playoffs. So yes some of the very bad teams get to the playoffs but I think the results end up about the same in 6A.
  6. I don't underestimate the region I just pointed out facts. We all know there is no over hyping that region. After playing MJ, Franklin, and McGavock there is no doubt those three teams can beat any team in region 2. Maybe not Oakland but anyone else including Blackman.
  7. If our region is the worse in 6A how do you explain 3-1 against region 2? WC will finish 6 in our region but destroyed region 2 6th place team. Everyone wants to pile on because of our bottom 2 teams but even one of them beat a region 2 team. We have Ravenwood, region 2 has Oakland, region 1 has Maryville. The only region with an even top 5 is region 4. The only out of region losses to bad teams was MJ loss to Gallatin and MJ is much better now and Lebanon to Portland. All the other out of region losses were to playoff teams. The rest of your records doesn't matter since everyone is going to the playoffs.
  8. MJ and Frankln will be a good game. MJ is probably a better defensive team while Franklin may be a little better offensive. MJ should win this game. Do not take what you see happened at WC into account. I hope WC has not quit on the season but they would not have beat Lebanon or Antioch last night. I watched as there were only 3 players who even bothered to stretch out for the second half.
  9. They are a running team. No way to compare since WC never showed up or even tried. Every time Franklin ran the ball it was for 5-8 yards at least. WC played 0 defense. Franklin only punted twice. WC had no student section, no cheerleaders and no desire to be there. WC fumbled again several times and really had only one offensive weapon. Jordan Hooper missed a practice and did not really play until the second half and Bowes has lost some confidence and struggled. The game honestly looked like a scrimmage. MJ will get better scouting film from the Antioch - Franklin game than ours. Sorry but there's no way to compare the two games.
  10. This game completly depends on turnovers early in the game. WC 3 losses started with early turnovers and speacial team blunders. When these happen you can see the heads drop and you can feel the "here we go again" attitude show up for WC. Against Siegal and Station Camp there were no turnovers and the attitude was completly different. Beech, McGavock, and MJ they gave up the ball all three games early because of fumbles and speacial team blunders. If WC can keep from having block punts, fumbles, and other offensive blunders, they win big. If they start with bad things happening they probably will not recover. Your score is probably correct and either team could be the 31.
  11. One of the best runs I ever seen was Vic Johnson as a freshman against Gallatin freshmen four years ago at WC.
  12. This is the game that Lebanon turns their program around and beats Ravenwood 17-14.......Well maybe not 35-7 Ravenwood.
  13. All kidding aside, I was told today that if the teams stay where we are now, that if both WC and MJ win the first round that we play again at MJ in the second round. Is that how you all understand the playoffs?
  14. After watching film on both teams, MJ doesn't have the speed to keep up with Antioch. Antioch has better coaches and for the biggest part smarter fans. Antioch will beat MJ by 2 touchdowns. MJ got lucky to beat WC and Overton and will not win again this year. McGavock will score 75 points on MJs weak defense.
  15. Your run game should have a great game. They have a decent secondary but really no need to pass. MJ should score at least in the 40's and the only way Antioch scores is a lucky long run or pass play. They are not even close to being as good as Lebanon. WC had 42 points less than 6 mins into the third quarter. 47 -7 MJ
  16. Sorry not trying to be political, just pointing out that we all live in Mount Juliet.
  17. I'm not sure you speak for all of MJ, since we all live in Mount Juliet. Maybe we should just split off and be Providence so all our taxes and business taxes be funneled to WC then we'll see what happens to all those nice facilities at MJ.
  18. I've read the chronicle and you are not objective. It usually goes straight from my driveway to the trash can. You once said you go to every MJ game so your coverage of WC comes second hand.
  19. Believe what you want. Insulting me doesn't bother me. I am a football and basketball official and am used to people calling me names.
  20. Looks like we're making the first round trip to Memphis. Congratulation to MJ.
  21. I hope the weather cooperates with us tonight,
  22. As an official I had an issue one night at Gallatin. I happen to be the clock operator the night when Gallatin beat Beech after blowing a big lead and allowing Beech to attempt a field goal as time ran out. I guess lucky for me it hit the goal post and Gallatin won by 2 points. It is the most intense jog leaving the field that I ever experienced.
