Centennial is a very good team, but Henry County has too much for them. I believe HC will win by at least 10. If it comes down to a kicking contest, HC should have the edge. Should be a great one and with two pretty good teams going at it.

Lil Pony---UC and Dresden would beat Huntingdon by 30+ now. Both can play with the top teams from Region 5 and Region 6, but you're no longer one of them. Talk to me next year......junior.

Coach Morris is an awesome leader and he will not give "charity" in this game. He is very consistent and knows how to lead a team. If he gets a healthy lead, I believe he may rest some of his players very late in the game---but his system hasn't really changed over the years and historically--he hasn't done that too many times. I said 2 TDs earlier to be aggravating, but I believe that the puppies could beat SGHS by 30+. It has to be demoralizing being 6-0 and feeling good and then to know you are out of the playoffs 3 games later.

I believe we will both be there or I wouldn't say it, but we will go through the games first. I truly do like you, even if we kind of got off on a "rocky" start about a month ago. I will only refer to you as BigSwo from now on, but don't expect me to be as nice to some of those Huntingdon peeps. You are football knowledgeable and intelligent, I do respect you. Well hopefully, if people really care about the future of the kids, that will happen. It makes absolutely no sense to have a high school in the 21st century, who probably graduates less than 40 per year. I'm not knocking "small" schools, but it comes a point where the school isn't benefitting the child anymore. I haven't looked at the jr high/elementary enrollment numbers, but the financial liability of operating a high school system should be a major factor plus the opportunities(or lack thereof) to learn. Westview is big enough, but the distance to Dresden would be just as close and would boost the Dresden (Eastview) system. It would be a win-win (for kids and taxpayers) and I'm sure Dresden would welcome those kids.

Milan reclaims the title of #2 ranked team in Gibson County this year with a victory over SGHS. Milan by 2 TDs.

Someone else may have a say-so of who's in that game...don't be counting your chickens over there BigSlo. I'd say WC has a better chance than UC this year, but we'll let that play out.....much more difficult to beat a good team twice in a season. Keep that in mind my UC nemesis.

Agree lol---agree It's over already, and it's 6 days away. Here's my question to those that may understand "Weakley County" finances......How (and Why) are the Greenfield and Gleason High Schools still open?? Wouldn't it make more financial sense if we had only Two High Schools in this County?? Both cannot compete in football, rarely in basketball anymore, and between both high schools--the only real competitive sport is High School Girl's Tennis (Greenfield) and academically---aren't they limited on class selection with their low numbers year in and year out. I've heard different stories about the past issue of consolidation, but what were they thinking when they didn't consolidate these schools?? And they're building a new gymnasium down there??? Weakley County must have a lot of expendable income at its' disposal. Kind of ridiculous. They're Jr High/Elementary schools would be great feeder systems for Dresden. IMO

Last regular season game against Greenfield. I don't expect this game to be very competitive or within 50 points, but for the few posters that may post on this thread---what about it? Pros: -The Mexican restaurant is pretty good down there. -The contest takes place fairly close and the drive is about 10 minutes. -Young players should get a lot of playing time. -Potential for another shut-out. Cons: -Wimpy's is out of business. -McDonald's backed out of coming to Greenfield. -the Sonic has extremely slow service. -they have some cocky fans (at times) for below average athletic programs.

I don't really think he/she (Horsey- aka "lil' pony") is a drunkard....I think it has to do more with lack of intelligence or stupidity. Biggest excuse makers on CoachT.... you'll hear a lot of "ifs", "should haves", "woulda's", and the occasional blame of the Coach for play calling. That team goes with Pearson. I hope the young man heals up and comes back even better next year. That kid is a beast and he's a playmaker on both sides. I still think WC wins by 2 TDs with him in the game from start to finish. I heard it was total domination and WC should be in the semi-finals with the way they're playing.

I wouldn't doubt it. HHS usually are the biggest excuse makers on CoachT. Glad the weather worked out for everyone tonight. Maybe during the playoffs, we'll just have some clear, cool nights and the rain will stay away.

Great point! They are definitely very silent on the Huntingdon/Wayne County thread. They're severely over-rated and their CoachT fan base (a few of them) are blinded by facts. They have a few good ones too, on here, but I like to see those hosers go down.

Both teams will be tough outs in the playoffs, but I've already had 2 of my "friends" tell me tonight that Huntingdon got shafted by the refs. Imagine that?? But they were from Carroll County, so go figure. Good win WC. Horse (AKA- My Lil' Pony) and a couple of his lady friends will be on here a little later commenting about it, I'm sure.

Yep they did....that should tell you a lot about Milan too. My buddy said WC pretty much dominated the game and gave up a big play to make that score look reasonable. Congrats WC on your victory and I am expect some excuses to flow on this board. Good luck the rest of the way in! Not a lot of stank fans on here now, probably full of crow and resting.

I was off a little...my bad. But did anyone notice any type of different blocking scheme? It's good to get some good practice in quick, get some rest, and let the future play.

Swo, I think I may agree with you. Good luck to your guys until we meet again. I anticipate and expect another game between us, but you are correct. Hope both teams stay healthy and fired up. Hope we both win out and have the opportunity for 1 more meeting this year.

Hopefully, everyone will remain healthy. I'd go ahead and book my flight and plan on being back in UC on November 20. Dresden has a month to figure out how to slow down the defensive rush and finish some drives. Something is in the works on the blocking scheme.....
