  1. Knox Central should win this game easily. But if the Panthers bring out "The Pyramid", then watch out! An upset could be in the works.
  2. Morristown West should win this game by 2+ TDs. Sevier County is a good football team, but I think Morristown West is one of the better football teams in the entire state. The Trojans should honestly be undefeated right now. Their only loss being a 3 point loss to the Fulton Falcons. But they absolutely should have won that game. Regardless, Morristown West hasn't lost since. They've notched two really impressive wins against Greeneville & Knox Central during that stretch. Meanwhile, Sevier County's only decent win would be an early-season 3 point win against Knox West. They have since lost to Oak Ridge & a very bad Dobyns-Bennett football team. I also find it ironic/interesting that Morristown West has two football players committed to FCS colleges that IMO are better football players than the two SEC commitment players that play for Sevier County. I could be totally wrong on that & the two Sevier County players could become great college athletes, but right now I have been more impressed with the Morristown West players from a high school standpoint. Morristown West: 34 Sevier County: 21
  3. Fulton has a very good football team & they very well may be "back on track", but their game against Union County wouldn't be a direct indication of that. Most every local Knoxville freshman football team would beat Union County's Varsity football team by 5+ TDs. Alcoa's 8th-Grade Middle School football team would very likely beat Union County. I'm not exaggerating either. Union County currently has a record of 0-9 & has been outscored 578 points to 13 points this season. For those counting at home, that is an average loss by the score of 64.2 points to 1.4 points. This isn't meant to be a slight to Union County either. I respect the heck out of their players & coaches that continue to work hard & play despite the circumstances. I'm just saying, Fulton's blowout win over Union County doesn't really prove anything. I would use the fact that Fulton beat an extremely good Morristown West (one of the best teams in the state) football team on the road & kept it close with Maryville High (the BEST football team in the state) for the most part as examples of Fulton "getting back on track". The Knox West vs. Fulton football game this Friday night should be a very good game. I know I've given Knox West a hard-time on here & think they've been overrated for the most part, but I can't lie that I've recently been very impressed with the team's resiliency and toughness as of late. I have to give respect. Knox West's defense is one of the best in the state & plays very tough football. The Rebels' offensive woes have been well documented, but I don't think the offense is as bad as it seems on paper. Losing their two best running-backs really hurt. I was very impressed with sophomore ATH Patrick in the two games I watched Knox West on TV. But injuries happen everywhere. Knox West needs to move on & make it work with what they have. #1 needs more touches. I don't think Fulton is quite as good as they have been the last 2 seasons, but they still have one of the most talented football teams in the state this season & once again appear to be the favorite to win the Class 4A State Championship. #1 looks like the best player to come out of Fulton since Dennis Rogan. He probably is the best skill player in East TN right now. Freshman QB has been very impressive. He will be a great one. Fulton has looked lazy at times at some of the other positions on the field, but I'm sure they will be pumped up for the game this Friday. With Knox West's injuries & lack of depth, I think Fulton currently has to be the favorite in this game. But will Fulton be ready? They were impressive early on in the season, but they've not played a team with a pulse in over a month (September 18th @ Catholic). Knox West will prove to be a much tougher challenge than Gibbs, Carter, & Union County. I'm not making my prediction quite yet, but I will say this game will be much closer than most think. I'm going to need to get some more insider information from Austin Price & check the analytics sheet then I'll be ready to make my prediction later on in the week.
  4. No slight intended towards Knox West. I was simply stating that Farragut shouldn't be in the Top-10 anymore. Not too hard to understand.
  5. Anderson County's mid-field logo stretches from the 38 yard-line to the 38 yard-line (24 total yards in length).
  6. Go Rebels! Looking forward to this one. MHS wins big!
  7. I didn't even mention Knox West in the post you quoted. Knox West had absolutely nothing to do with that post. So I'm not sure what you are getting at. You should probably calm down though. No need to get upset over an internet message board.
  8. I will. Just wait 'till my brother gets off from work.
  9. The Knox West coach probably deserved it. I'd say the ref probably got sick of talking to chicken-s*** b*******. Can't say that I blame him.
  10. Class 6A looks pretty good. It never gets old seeing my Maryville Rebels at #1! But those 5A rankings are a joke. Farragut certainly doesn't belong in the Top-10 after their showing last week. Beech is a 2-loss team ahead of several very talented 1-loss teams. I also think Morristown West could be ranked a little higher. I have been very impressed with the Trojans this season.
  11. Not familiar with "erell38". Care to elaborate?
  12. Congrats to Knox West on the victory. Ultimately wasn't a very impressive win. The West Rebels were on the beneficial side of several questionable officiating calls. The poor weather and field conditions & Cole Strange not playing severely hurt Farragut. The Admirals would have demolished West with #45 & better field conditions. Knox West will be brought back to earth in two weeks against the Fulton Falcons. That game won't be close. And let's be honest, Knox West doesn't want to see Farragut again in the playoffs. As I'm sure the Farragut coaches would concur. The Rebels escaped with a lucky win. They better savor it while they can. I hear Farragut has the best freshman team in the state & will be looking for revenge this Monday. The West Rebels better get ready.
  13. This one won't be close. Farragut Admirals cruise.
  14. Knox Central is the better team & should win this game with ease, but I highly doubt they score anywhere close to 42 points. The Bobcats' offense has struggled this season. The only team they've scored 42+ points on is Union County. They also only managed 13 points against Carter. Knox Central should win this game by 2+ touchdowns, but I think the score will be closer to the 24-7 range.
  15. I think Heritage will win that district. They are already 2-0 in district play with wins over South Doyle & Gibbs. They should have no problem beating Powell & Halls. Knox West might be tough for the Mountaineers at first, but I fully expect Heritage to pull away in the second half & clinch the district title.
  16. Would it really be an upset? I fully expect Heritage to beat Knox West & win the district with ease.
  17. Maryville will roll Bearden. Won't be close. MHS: 42 BHS: 0 Go Rebels!
  18. Knox Central has been very impressive this season. Hats off to Coach Rosser for completely turning that football program around. Knox Central does have one of the better defenses in the area. Coach Slade has done a great job. Through 4 games, the Bobcats' defense has surrendered 5.0 points per game. That statistic is even more impressive when you take into consideration the fact that Knox Central's defense allowed 37.0 points per game during the 2013 season & 32.0 points per game during the 2014 season. With that being said, Knox Central's offense has left much to be desired. The offensive performances against South Doyle & Carter were ugly. Morristown West is also having a great year. This a team that brought back nearly every starter from a tough 5A State Playoff squad the year before. The Trojans narrowly lost to Fulton 9-12 to begin the year before handling two good football teams (Greeneville & Jefferson County). The defense is solid, but the difference will be Morristown West's RB. Delaney can play & will eventually wear down Central. Knox Central has vastly improved their program, but I believe they are still a year or two away from consistently competing with "playoff caliber" teams. I would like to see the Bobcats return to their former glory. The old Maryville-Central battles were fun to watch. Although my Rebels owned them! Morristown West wins this one close. Morristown West: 17 Knoxville Central: 10
