I have a question about William Blount HS football team? Does the Maheia, Sugden, Burkhardt, Blocker kids still play? I would think they would be juniors or seniors this last year. Do they still play? How have their careers been? Thanks.

That's a darn shame if #45 is Savoy. Didn't realize he was out. He is an absolute beast. Sad to hear he has had to miss much of his junior year. Hopefully he can get healthy & play his senior year. What about Stokes, Skavara, Juan, etc. Good years out of those players?

Glad to hear Knox West won this game. Can any Rebel fans give any insight on how some of the defensive players have played this season? I heard they had some standout such as Stokes, Cook, Savoy, etc. I have read they've done well as a unit, but was just curious individually who has stood out.

Just an assumption. I think most of the staff was loyal to Coach Lane & won't be happy with him not being hired for the 2nd straight time. I think several will leave & look for jobs elsewhere. Just my speculation though.

Coach Brown will most likely have to find a completely new staff. I wouldn't imagine too many assistant coaches will stick around.

Coach McMillan deserved better than Carter. He is a great man & a great coach. He gave so much time & energy to his players & the football program. I don't blame him at all for not wanting to endure another season of the whining & drama at Carter High School.

Not difficult to pinpoint the idiots in this thread. My goodness. This is a football board. Take the racism whining elsewhere. We see enough of that crap on the news. It's almost 2017. I would like to read updates on the MHS HC search, not whining about the rebel flag.

I completely agree with you. Little known fact: most head football coaches are hired not because of their ability to coach, but because of their ability to post under numerous handles on an anonymous internet message board.

Derek Hunt would be a heck of a coach for the Maryville Rebels.

I'm not involved at all. I suppose I've just been misinformed on this. It's very admirable of Knox County to have all their schools completely adhere to & follow this rule.
