  1. Time will tell and I wish them the best of Luck.
  2. When you keep talking about tradition that means you have not won the big one in 4-5 years. TC had and still has good team speed. The offensive and defensive line has and will be again the Achilles heal of this team. Special teams and the Kicking game went to nothing after Ricky Harrison graduated and the return game went away when Matt Thomas graduated that same year. It was an issue during the last season that Barker coached and will be the same with the new coach if improvements are not made. The QB is very athletic and with some luck they may get past the quarter finals. I do not believe they are physical enough to run it down the throat of a solid front line with one or two athletes in the middle. That is what you face in the first or second round each year. You have to have some sort of short passing game in todays world. Barker maybe lost two games that Creasy and his legendary play calling may have won. The rest of them TC lost straight up to better teams. The Wing T is a great offense when you have the meat and horses to run it. The 2017 season will be here before you know it and I wish the Jackets all the best.
  3. Got a 6' 1" 170 pound senior that moved in from Arizona that is the real deal. Right now he is lighting it up on the football field for Trousdale. Shortstop, 2nd base or Centerfield. Good power, great speed and arm. Matt Thomas.
  4. I really have no long term ties to TC. Recntly moved in, I played the game at a very high level, have done some coaching and yes based on the talent and how the team here at TC has grown I still say we would beat JB 9 out of 10 times and the 1 victory you have would satisfy that win. So I guess TC would win the next 9. TC turned the ball over and no we did not adjust quick enough. Anyway that victory is done and congratulations to JB for the victory. The palyers I mentioned before have really grown and the QB has gained some confidence throwing the ball. We had recievers running all over the field against JB but Baines was still lacking a little confidence at that time. He is maturing fast. Anyway, good luck in the playoffs and hopefully we will take care of business on our side. Red Boiling get ready here we come.
  5. Reality is that if TC played Joe Byrns again they would beat them by 14 points. Everything that could go wrong that night did including the boys in stripes throwing flags like candy at Haloween. If TC can cut the penalties by the Offensive line in half and they continue to feed # 3, 6, 40 and 18 the ball then they will put up points. Several other kids are contributing as well when the offense gets going. Take care of business this week and sharpen the saw then it is not out of the question to upset NCS at home. I have played where stranger things have happend on both sides. Games where we should have won and did not and games we had no chance of winning and then pulling it out. TC could have put another 10-14 points on MTC the other night easily if the starters had stayed in. Glad to see the coach getting some of the younger kids some game time. Our young QB is growing up with every game and is a threat everytime he runs the ball to carry it to the endzone. One post is correct after all the talking there is a reason why you play the game. Time will tell.
  6. TC does have plenty of team speed. If they can cut the penalties in half and continue to play offense like they have over the last three weeks then I believe they will continue to get better. Rumor has it that Nashville Christian is pretty good. TC needs to take care of MTC and the Red Boiling first. TC should get back 1-2 kids that will make a difference. Continue to work on the running game and throw the ball when needed. Take nothing for granted and I hope a team takes TC light, they may get a suprise. Again one week at a time.
  7. The overall atmosphere last week was good. The kids were ready to play. The offense moved the ball around to many players and were less predictable. Special teams played well and the defense played with some attitude. If TC gets the ball in the hands of the playmakers and limits mental mistakes they will be fine. 4-2 after this week on the Creekbank. 28-10 TC
  8. Got to get the ball in # 3 #6 #7 and #18 hands on offense. We are a running team but you have to throw the ball just a little to spread the D out. Kids are running free on every play 5-10 yards down the field. We can still have a 7-3 season going into the play offs but the mistakes have to be addressed.
  9. Coaching staff is new and the kids are young. Defense is playing well. On offense we need to throw the ball when we want to and not when we have to. There were numerous times when kids were running wide open and the young QB either did not see them or made a decison to run. We can throw it 6-8 times per game strategically and stertch the defense which will enhance the running game. He has been banged up two of the three games so maybe he will be a little quicker on his hand off or pass release. Upperman was a good team with a very Smart QB. Not ready to throw in the towel yet. Looking for a big effort this friday.
  10. TC brought it home. They have a few kids that will break out this year. Look for big things out of # 6, 18, 40 and of course 52
  11. TC has a lot of heart and is very young. Defensive is impressive. If TC puts 21 on the board they will pull it out at home. Back to the Sophmore QB he has a little more patience.
