He is a great guy. I've said that before. But that doesn't mean great coach. You can keep harping on the talent but it's not like MJ is getting #11 from whitehaven next year. And it's not like ravenwood has 100x the talent... Just please stop mentioning talent... It triggers my nerves every time you do because that's just not true. And it's seriously a fat slap in the face of the players that actually bother with MJ. You're basically saying they aren't good at football and never will be just because theyre white and unathletic. Which clearly, evidenced by all the predominately white teams that are still playing, even in our own region and district,isn't true.

Central runs the wing T like MJ USED TO. Their players also actually like their coach. I think they'll do darn good, if whitehaven still doesn't know how to stop the wing t.

I love MJ and I'm close with plenty of the players. I want nothing but the best for them. The best won't come with Wannabe Nick Saban with Oregon like tradition raping uniforms and UT INSPIRED EXCUSES as to why they aren't competing against subpar teams. Did you actually watch the games you are so confidently commenting on? NONE OF THOSE TEAMS HAD ANYONE THAT WAS A WORLD BEATER. NOT ONE OF THEM. You got outscored 31-13, and needed a clinching first down to actually put them away. MJ had every amount of momentum in the second half. I know you're happy gallatin has trashed MJ all these years under TP... Of course you want him to stay. And no, these past few MJ teams don't have Caleb Hopkins and contrez like players, you're right, but let's not act like Beech reloads with a new jalen Hurd every year for example, and they're doing JUST fine. It's a 6A team. The talent is there. The school is huge. MJ continues to grow as a city. I can tell you right now, there's a lot of potentially good players walking the halls at MJ (or maybe have had it with the idiots at MJ, FROM THE Admins to the coaches,and are at other schools, looking at WC and Hooper, just one example) THEY WANT NOTHING TO DO with the Crapshow trey perry is running. It's probably the same at Lebanon. No one wants to be apart of that dumpster fire either. Either get that through your head, or get used to these undefeated FRESH/JV teams, that end up being 10-15 member senior classes that all hate the head coach in one way or another by their final year. Wake up.

Gah bull-crap. MJ should NOT have lost to franklin,cane ridge, OR gallatin. In each one of those games they were mysteriously outplayed,to an excessive level. When you have two even teams, the team that goes down,20-0,21-0, is the one being out-freakin-coached, because I can tell you RIGHT now,Franklin,CR,and Gallatin are not world beaters talent wise in comparison to MJ,but all those teams won or led by 20+ points against MJ. Gallatin really shouldnt have won after their 21-0 lead to 31-34 choke job squaker... What does that make MJ? If they had a coach? 8-2? With that **** talent? Better seeding? Most likely still playing right now? I dont know. Probably I wont name the players that this team has had or has now, thats just as talented as those past players,because ive done it before. But MJGB, P L E A S E continue to throw the kids under the bus,while BLINDLY supporting Trey perry's piledriving of this program.

What are the special teams like for Whitehaven? I'm really thinking if whitehaven allows a squib kick or misses a bunch of PATs, they could give MJ a chance. I roast on the MJ program a lot, but the one thing theyHAVE done well is special teams.

To answer your question MJ has still beaten no one good. Please don't forget collierville was 5-5 and traveled 3 hours to play with no fan support and only lost by 4, while leading by 10 Most of the game..

Different MJ were watching. You must think they still run the wing t with roger perry. The SPREAD MJ Offense I saw in 2015 is one of the most mistake prone offenses I've ever seen. Mainly because it does not fit them in the slightest. I think the MJ defense keeps them in this game IF they match up well. The offense may literally throw 3-4-5 interceptions and "throw" the game away if they decide to throw it 362 times. And MJ run game has just been flat out bad all year. Make no mistake, this is a totally different team from the one that almost stole the punch bowl from the party a few years ago, and not in a good way. Basically, if MJ can't run the ball they lose by 60. Because whitehaven DBs vs MJ Wr..simply ain't happening. Special teams would be important too... If MJ rexovers a bunch of squib kicks or whitehaven muffs a few punts then, that'll be a huge factor as well.

Wouldn't be surprised if they lose, but on the other hand wouldn't be surprised if they win. Next week though.. Oh boy

Ravenwood is as comparable to MJ as you can get. -Its a more,"Upscale" area -The team wasnt taht great before a coach came in and turned things around -The talent really isnt all that great,mainly because theyre from a certain"area" You cant keep giving this man chances. They are doing nothing but regressing. 2012=Best team evar Flash forward to offseason,Coach perry falls ill,coach hicks says "imout",coach turchetta says"im out" 2013,4-6,MASSIVE drop off from the previous season,sure they lost alot of players,but lets not BS here,they reloaded. I can name the players but I dont fee like it atm. They had extremely underwhelming wins over the likes of Antioch(36-29 AT HOME),and lebanon(29-8) Then got absoulutely destroyed by station camp. Destroyed by blackman Yes another underwhelming win vs a subpar central team(23-18) that they really should have lost to if they catch a few balls. Dominated by centennial,flat out outcoached and outplayed. Lost to a beech team without jalen hurd(AKA a beach team that had similar "talent" Blasted by hendersonville Yet another loss to a Gallatin team with "similar talent"(In other words,outcoached) and an amazing win over portland. Flash to 2014. The Jamboree with oakland further proved how far the team had fallen from 2 short years. 41-0 in 2 quarters..jeez. A 'great' win over a raelly bad lebanon (56-23) A gritty hard earned win over a really bad antioch team(31-13) A win over a station camp team in which they SHOULD have won by 50 with their "talent",but yet they only won by 15. I want to say "Outcoached" but eh,they won. thats all that counts. Blackman-Blasted again Central,Barely won,were 30-40 yards from losing/OT. Centennial-Dominated,and outcoached for the 2nd year in a row. Beech- Another loss in which they were Outcoached Hendersonville- TP shouldve been fired after this,really. 63 points... Gallatin- Admittedly MJ got screwed on a pass interference in this game. But they still shouldnt won by multiple touchdowns,but "bad coaching" Impressive win over portland And then blasted by oakland for a second time. Flash to 2015,MJ is supposed to be 8-2,9-1,maybe even 10-0 with their "easy" schedule and new district. Only challenge for district should be RAVENWOOD right!? Team is 5-4. With wins over aforementioned subpar teams(lebanon,antioch,central,overton,franklin counter). The only win of note was vs Overton,and arguably,they shouldve lost that,hey trailed 14-0. They played good vs ravenwood,but I think that was more of ravenwood playing down to them. Or maybe T got outcoached yet again. For a PROGRAM WITH THE STANDARDS THAT MOUNT JULIET AND ROGER PERRY HAVE SET,THIS IS UNNACCEPTABLE. Its that simple! Hes had chance after chance. Either git rid of him now,or continue to sink from the Glory Dayz. However,the problem might be,that MJ cant hihre a coach thats better. Unfortunate. Guys like Big Perry only come along once is a lifetime,I guess. But anyway. I dont have a problem with TP as a man. I would let him raise and take care of my children. The team has good players, and even Better upcoming players. The coach is a peanut. If you want MJ to be good like the glory days, then you better start flying some Fire Trey Perry banners over the stadium.

It's not outside looking in. I've been inside the MJ football program. In what way I won't share. This team issue is not talent. You can keep hinting that they are losing because of their skin color or something but that's just not true. MJ Has similar talent to Ravenwood. Which is also a bunch of white kids. Ravenwood isn't 5-4. Ravenwood honestly played a tougher schedule. It's not talent. Will Hester > trey perry. If you put Hester in MJ, they would be at least twice as better. It's coaching. You can keep defending the mediocrity and obvious standard drop-off, but MJ was simply a Better program from top to bottom with ROGER as the head coach. It's the 3rd year now. When will the "We have no talent" excuses end with MJ? That backfield is as talented and mature as any backfield in the district. That line is huge,as big if not bigger than the 2011-12 lines. Those receivers are pretty dern good and expierenced. On defense Dline could be called inexpierenced,But I dont think defense is the issue with this team,shockingly. The corners are either seniors or have game expierence The linebackers,same thing The safeties,same thing. When will the "we're young" excuses end? This team is not young. MJ is not playing a bunch of freshman and sophomores. These are the same players that won how many games in a row as JV again? Theres just no excuse.. Ive said it once,and ill say it again,Little perry,is NOT big perry coach wise. This team fell off DRAMATICALLY the MINUTE little perry came in charge. on the offensive side when perry had his health issues,and when Coach Hicks left as well during that same offseason. Defensively, Turchetta,and the others left after the 2012 season. The team is NOT as well coached as it was in 2012<. Do you need any proof that Little T is running this team into the ground? He's the one behind the pink MJ logo/socks and the ridicoulous color scheme changes that MJ has underwent. A simple flipping pink ribbon on the back of the helmet is ENOUGH FOR AWARENESS. Heck,Make the logo on the field Pink. Alternate gray pants/jersey is ENOUGH MJ IS NOT A BLACK AND GRAY SCHOOL!!! ITS BLACK AND GOLD COACH T. The guy has lost it. I honestly dont think he had it to begin with. MJ WILL NEVER be the same unless big perry takes back control. ANd with Coach T's EGO,that will NEVER HAPPEN.

If they had given the ball to 23 more they wouldve. Everytime he touched the ball he gained chunks. But MJ also played their best game in years. Thier best game since Semifinal in Whitehaven. Maybe last week vs CR they were trying not to show too much on film to ravenwood? Either way,an Autowin vs that team I cant even name this next week for sure. And if they play like they did friday night(actually inspired and not turning it over 200 times) then they are pretty good the rest of the season. But thats a big if.

Would be surprised if they didnt put up at least 50 on mj, maybe they'll stop at 35 out of respect. Last week MJ looked like they didnt even want to be there. If they have that same 'meh' feeling from the sideline,im expecting at least 70 points from ravenwood.

Id argue that wasnt the case. In the 2012 season,MJ was lucky to escape Hendersonville with a Win,winning on a last second touchdown. That hendersonville team was like 3-7,4-6? in 2011 ,they dismantled a lowly Hendy,but thats about the only time in recent memory. Id say the only year MJ was realllly really good,just rolling through everyone,was 2011. And even then,they BARELY(as in one yard from losing to a 5-6 win siegel team) got past those 7AAA teams that you say they were ,'leap years' ahead of during the playoffs.The only truly good team they "rolled" in 2011,was Brentwood and Beech.. and in 2012,they simply were not leap years ahead. If they had to run the 7AAA quad again, Siegel,blackman,etc,not so sure theyd go to the semis again. They got a favourable quad that year and did a good job making it ot the semi's with it.

No offense meant by that. Those are "winnable" games. Past 2 years MJ has had to deal with blackman,cent,hendy,etc,which are basically autolosses. Gallatin,beech,Cane ridge,Gallatin,wilson central...those are games they have a chance in,games they should win if they arent inferior. Thats what I meant by that. No disrespect towards gallatin.
