Cornersville travels north of the river this week for one of the best rivalries around (North vs the South).

Cornersville the last 2 weeks have played 2 spread passing teams and have gave up zero TD’s. So I’m not sure why you think we can’t slow down the passing game?

It is crazy what a coaching change can do to a program. It’s going to be a revenge tour season for the dawgs.

The kids really embraced it! It’s almost unheard of that only 1 team scored more than 10 points on them for the whole entire season.

First game was against community and it was 42-0 to start the 4th. They scored on our 3rd string kids. I count it for our starting defense, they were unbelievable. The crazy part is no region opponent scored on us and we didn’t have defense of player of the year in the region. All the coaches that voted should be stripped of their voting rights.

Cornersville 2018 squad had 11 shutouts in a row and only giving up an average of 4 points a game for the year. Pretty remarkable.

How did them Rockets look tonight against Eagleville?

For sure. The kid is one of the best looking single A kids in the entire state.

This was an absolute homerun hit for Coach Cook.

The State Championship was already played Makenzie vs City in the qtrs IMO. But let’s not forget Cornersville in 2018 had the better team by far and slipped up and got beat by Whitwell because of the gauntlet you have to go through in the West wears on you.

I know one thing , I’ve heard out of McMahons mouth that he would give Ben the ball more than 10 times a game unlike the last 2 coordinators have. He said it would be 20+ times a game on average. I think he still a little upset he didn’t get to call plays 2 years ago, as on why he didn’t coach this past year. They should be all in on getting him back out there.

Community scored in the 4th on Cornersvilles 3rd and 4th strings. The first D team didn’t allow a point for 12 games.

Cornersville didn’t allow a point in 2018 until the second round.

I doubt it, his brother was a big part of the state teams. Thats what’s wrong with society these days hopping and jumping ship when things aren’t going your way. The kid will get offers either way just based on his size and athletic ability.

Not this group of seniors and juniors. I’m not sure who they lost to , it may have been y’all but there was only 1 loss for all them years together.

Well yes obviously but it doesn’t help when 15+ of those kids aren’t playing.

Shouldn’t be a down year with the most successful 2 grades in school history prior to high school. Teams were literally quitting at halftime because this group was so good in youth, they allowed 1 touchdown there 5th and 6th year and lost 1 , 1 game from Flag to 8th grade. But when half or more of those kids are walking the halls, there isn’t anything anybody can do about.

These kids that are still playing can still play for something. If they can beat Wayne County they are in the playoffs and keep going to the playoff streak alive. I hope some of the kids step up and have some pride for themselves, coaches, teammates and this community.

There is a few more than just Ben who play with heart on the team. Low numbers is tough for any coach especially a new one and it’s even tougher when you lose the head coach and 2 other coaches that were on staff from last year to this year, especially because they were all on staff before the championship runs.
