It's hard not to bring up a game that was played by the same two teams, in the same year. And, it was a blowout. I hardly see Dyer making up a 41 point difference unless they have recruited a whole new team since then. It's a mental thing at this point, throw the Choctaws in the Clarksville category. Deep down, they don't truly believe they can beat Henry Co. However, I do enjoy the enthusiasm and optimism of this program. And by the way PN, do not keep quite (quiet) about your team and your community, we have valid reason to proudly defend them.

Seen it before, boys; many, many times. A team like Dyer gets to this point in the season for the first time in 40 or 50 years and get so "amped" up that their heads are spinnin'. Their emotions will get the best of them, Yeah, they'll come out the first quarter and play "high" for a few minutes, but then reality will set in and they'll fall behind a couple of touchdowns and the wheels will come off. Too many veteran players for the Patriots who have "been there and done that" to let the atmosphere of this game get to them. HC 45 DC 7 (DC total rushing yards 50)

T$$AA's $8 per ticket adds up quick for a family of 4 or 5. Plus, most of the 1st and 2nd round games at Patriot Stadium have been blowouts in the past. Hard to legitimize (for some people) spending $40 or $50 on a running clock game. No reason, with the number of playoff games in the state, that you can't keep ticket prices at $5 or $6, in my opinion.

I say we let the Grove freshmen team play these next few weeks and just let the varsity play intersquad games. It would be a lot more interesting to watch and the players would get a lot more out of it.
