  1. I think that's the year Melrose had that incredible O Line and they gave it to Graig Cooper (the best running back in the state that year) like 4 or 5 times the whole game
  2. Throw all the stats out the window. At this point, it comes down to discipline, securing the football and special teams. Advantage definitely to HC in all three of those departments.
  3. Yanker has spoken. He is the All-knowing Yanker, by the way, in case you didn't know. Lady Pats is skeptical, but he too will learn not to challenge the Yanker's wisdom. After watching the RW "high" lights, I agree with the Yanker, this definitely is not the same Ridgeway from years' past. If the Runners play like they did against Dyer Co. in the first half, this could get ugly
  4. Playoff time, what do you expect? HC gets stronger as we go. Dominates in the trenches.
  5. Henry County's more disciplined, more physical, has more depth, better conditioned, better coached, etc. Plus Ridgeway has to make the 2 1/2 hour trip to Paris. Ridgeway's speed keeps it close til half time, but the Patriots pull away in the second half and pull the dogs off in the 4th quarter. HC 41 Roadrunners 14
  6. I'm with Yanker on this one, no challenge this week. HC 54 Mumford 13
  7. I believe many of the Mumford fans have become realists
  8. All Hail the All-Knowing YANKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Let me be clear. I want no part of 6A (obviously should not have been stated, even jokingly). Henry County is definitely in the classification that they need to be in. I "wish" there was another region that we could be a part of rather than the region that we are currently in...because of obvious facts. (Lack of competition, atmospheres, visitor attendance doesn't usually reach double digits, making the same trip over and over, etc.)
  10. Just kidding about the 6A comment. Would love to play in a different region though
  11. If Henry County has to move up to 6A to get out of the "Clarksville" region, it may be worth it.
  12. HC coaches have had two, really three weeks to prepare for this one because they didn't have to do anything to get ready for West Creek. That's all that needs to be said. I don't care how bad you "want" it...I want a million dollars, BAD, but that doesn't necessarily mean I'll get it. Bottom line is that HC is better coached and more disciplined, HC 35 NE 20
  13. Lack of interest in this game is concerning
  14. We'll go with 12, forgot about the bus driver
  15. Yep...extra seating will need to be brought in definitely. Over/Under on West Creek fans that make the trip to Paris is 11.
  16. Great observation. Good teams take away the opposing team's strengths. Our region, unfortunately, doesn't have many good teams, so you get lulled into believing that nobody can stop what you do best. Plus, our earlier non-region opponents were not as good as advertised (both struggling to have .500 records). So, with that being said, I'm glad that HC didn't take the easy way out by scheduling a powder puff for this non-region game. Like you mentioned, the coaches will be forced to find some other "go to" guys and not strictly rely on #16. It's not like he's the only athlete we've got, that's for sure.
  17. We all know the legitimacy (or lack of) of rankings. They are strictly opinions, and like they say, everyone has one. However, I do believe the rankings of HC and Germantown are fairly legit. I agree with the #1 ranking for Henry County, and honestly believe that Germantown should be higher. They proved a lot by coming into Patriot Stadium and taking care of business, not many can accomplish that task. Personally, I'd put them as high as #3 or #4 in 6A.
  18. Definitely not the way HC wants to win the region title. Would much rather have to earn it with a win over NE. I feel somewhat sorry for the Clarksville teams/coaches having to deal with kids leaving to go another school just a few miles down the road. Big advantage being the only school in the county...for sure!
  19. Thank you gbrpats for some words of wisdom. I was about to prescribe some heavy duty meds to these other posters. To compare this year's Kenwood to the '09 Clarksville team or the '05 Kenwood team is ludicrous! Running clock whole second half. Freshmen played Tuesday so they should be rested up to play the second half for the Patriots.
  20. I said ALMOST basketball time in Clarksville
  21. It's almost basketball time in Clarksville
  22. Changing my prediction...didn't realize they had all of this college talent. Clarksville University 15 Henry County 33
