SP has way more speed and big play threats than Meigs. This looks more like the 2013 game to me just hopefully in MCs favor. The defense for MC looks better than last years to me. Alot of 3 year starters. Hopefully MC can pull away late but if SP gets some big plays it could be a barn-burner. MCs young QB looks more comfortable every week and is going to be a really good player.

First of all lets note that that was a response to SP poster stating he would suit up OJ and house him in order to beat MC which is insane. Secondly I don't know anything about this kid or his situation aside from what was reported. He definitely was present in a serious criminal event but his role has not been established. Its does look bad given that extracurricular activities like football are by definition extra or in other words privileges not rights. Lastly its safe to assume that he did not voluntarily forgo his senior season at his previous school and miss two weeks of the season just to play for SP. In other words his participation was no longer desired. I'm all about second chances and his education at SP should not be delayed it would just be nice to have the legal situation resolved prior to extracurricular activities. This is it for me on this subject opinions are established and further debate is wasted time. As for the game the Meigs game will let us know where we are at as its the first real test of the season.

Blind willy you just don't get it. We don't want him. We have a core group of kids who happen to be really good that have been together for years. Kangaroo can't replicate that by lowering the bar. The bottom line is representing your community on the football field is a privilege not a right. Admittedly our community had an embarrassing episode a few years ago but it wasn't common knowledge prior to the event. This lack of judgement is made with full awareness and a total disregard for the alleged event. Its just sad and honestly I feel bad that you think its a defendable position.

Meigs looks good on tape I think last year we came out and surprised them early.Its the first real challenge and if they get alot of big plays who knows what could happen. Meigs, BB, SP and Tyner are the games we have this year where somebody can sneak up and bite you. Really hard to go through the 10 game season without having a bad game like we did at BB last year. It probably helped in the long run to get grounded and realize we could be beaten but very hard with kids this age to not have a down game. Meigs has a big line, above average skill players and a good defense. They played Onieda really well which although young is usually a good team. I think MC should win but its no walk in the park.

Ok back to football. It will be close for a half maybe into the 3rd quarter then MC pulls away. Not a 40 point margin like lately but comfortable.

Excited for this game to see where we are at this year. Meigs looks solid And it should be the first real test. No one is over looking them.

The SP folk need to be patient the lights will go out soon enough. Right now MC has a game with huge post season implications so thats where the focus should be right now. Meigs is a solid opponent with a dangerous RB. So all the chatter here is wasted time.

Your scrapbook should be interesting. 4 years, 2 schools and zero victories in the oldest rivalry ever in Tennessee. There is something to be said for being unique but thats extreme.

You dont really need to worry about who puts in the work after the game but the boys wearing MC on their helmet who have beating your kids the last few years like they were punching a clock and getting paid for it. Yes its an MC not a J but eventually you might get up to speed with that its been there for decades.

You guys are right they are talented but its the same Trez team that nearly blew it in the 3rd round and won by 5 to a team that by all accounts was woefully inferior. The can be beaten and they have weaknesses.

Roy let me ask you a question. Did them SP boys train with tires this summer? If they did you need to tell them to flip them not get run over by them. Those big SC boys folded those boys so bad I thought they were born with hinges in their back. You think I'm joking but I'm not.

Im saying in a size sense bledsoe is similar to SC. I think they can control the clock and limit SP possessions. SP defense is average at best they gave up almost 400 rushing to SC who is a far from an offensive juggernaut. Maybe 35 to 21 if they get a few big plays. SP should win just not as big as you wish. After MC they have a good chance to run the table and build confidence for a long playoff run in 1a just not as good as the SP teams who could throttle bigger schools in years past.

SP 28 BC 21. SP isn't as far along as I thought. The offense has some playmakers that will have to overcome a defense that needs some work.
