  1. That game was 49-15 with MC scoring 14 in each of the first three quarters compared to 8 points by Watertown. If you were familiar with that team they essentially had 3 or 4 backs who alternately had good weeks. They had 3 backs who had over 1000 yards for the season. To be honest your team wasn’t in the same league so it isn’t like we were fortunate to have one player step it up. As for this year it should be close. MC definitely has the talent to win and they played probably the worst 3 quarters I’ve seen this year last week so hopefully they have that out of their system.
  2. If Tyner doesn't implode with penalties and TOs they can win this game. They have huge lineman that make it hard to run inside and speed on the edges. The QB is effective running and throwing with plenty of athletes to get the ball too. They just have to stay close going into the 4th and nobody can score faster than them. If they play like they did against MC they should win.
  3. Tyners coach is an old school guy but he is a genuinely good guy. He has a lineman about 6 8 and 350 and another that’s about 6 4 and 330 with tons of athletes behind them. If they continue to play like they did last Friday they will win the gold. Nobody I’ve seen this year could beat them if they play like they did that night. They played clean with no stupid penalties or turnovers. Additionally whether the win or lose their players always do so with grace and we have played them several times. This is just their year.
  4. Tyner has lost to us and been classy and they win classy. Good luck. They will win state.
  5. Too close to call. Tyner can score quicker than anyone I’ve ever seen. We are real familiar with Tyner and it’s always a good game.
  6. Look you had some good players and probably the best 44 was respectful after the game. Your big tackle was a great player but he acted horribly. I get it he was frustrated to lose bc he was a good player and played hard but he acted horrible. Your coach was frustrated the starters were still in the game but with 75 and 77 in the game you couldn’t put young kids in. 27 and 44 were out bc they were dinged up. As for the creek bank nobody here takes that lightly that’s a hard place to play but we will see what happens. As a fan the last 5 years the only people MC has lost too are the eventual state champions. I would feel much worse if they lost too a team in the playoffs that got destroyed but that’s just me.
  7. He’s not as fast, elusive or does he have as strong an arm as Walters. He is a top notch player and Coalfield lives or dies by him but he’s not on that level. A.J. Long is the only qb I have seen in person who was better than Walt. Just my opinion.
  8. Sp matches up well with coalfield. I've seen both and it's a really close game I think if it happens.
  9. What an inspiration you must be for any kid that accidentally gets on here. Did you even play much less work all year long to represent your community in football. These kids are a few plays from being 4-1 and all you can do is be negative. Tell you what if they do get things worked and play better you just stay at home.
  10. MC has lost two games that they had double digit leads in during the 4th quarter. The other loss was to SP and no it wasn't close. This is the hardest schedule we have had in years while replacing a lot of good players but we do have talent and expect to be a threat in the playoffs. This team could easily be 4-1. As for Coalfield they look very good and haven't been challenged at all this year but I expect us to be competitive.
  11. You had 10 fans in the stadium after the lights went out. Your announcer left. You have more post game post than pre game posts this year bc you won. The few MC fans that did post this year admitted we got beat but really nobody has been on this site all year much. We have a much harder schedule than you and are moving on trying to get better.
  12. I just don't remember our fan base with hundreds of posts after the lights went out. Not much to say we got beat but if you want to keep beating your chest for days I guess that's your choice. I don't think we are as bad as we looked and we will hopefully improve as the season goes. As for tyner they haven't changed plenty of athletes.
  13. You are either real slow or intentionally deceptive. That was a direct response to a comment about the scoreboard lights. Sp was obviously better prepared tonite and the game was really never in question. I still believe we can make a strong push this season bc we have do a lot of talent.
  14. Well the lights did stay on the whole game and the fans stayed. SP won fair and square but don't even start about the lights or slow walks. Sp fans must have been on skates a few years ago to get out so quick.
  15. This probably going to be a shootout decided by a few big plays and turnovers and when it's over both teams will probably make deep playoff runs. The kids will probably get together at some point and have fun reliving it. I think both teams will score in the 30s and whoever wins the turnover margin will win. 10 and 8 will both have great games and probably some other player will make a great play that changes the game.
  16. Couldn't care less if it's true it's what we've come to expect out of the "studding manual". Evidently the pages on how to stud a qb or a few lineman got lost. We can just play with who we have had for years and be just fine. Pretty evenly matched teams should be fun to watch. Heck griders own "kinfolk/recruit" left him and I see he has done well at Cleveland.
  17. I probably wouldn't move the kid with about 17 career INTs who is be recruited as DB but that's just me.
  18. It was a gutsy call that we should have gotten a PI on but thats football. I guess the fact that last year we punted, played field position with five minutes to go and never touched the ball again might have been a factor. By the way despite it being a hard fought competitive game the players i talked to said the trez players were very sportmanslike. The posters i might disagree with but the kids playing and not just 4 were very sportsman like.
  19. Both teams have had great teams the last several years. Telli added the wildcat last year which was obviously a great addition. Nobody from MC expects anything but a great job from him. It should be a great game. Trez has a great team nobody from here expects anything less than a great game. What is Swift doing he was an outstanding player last year.
  20. Not really sandbagging alot of folks were so enamored by the loss of a few great players they didnt pay attention to what was still there on the team. When we were upset by SP the qb was starting his 4th game ever at that position. Now at this stage he is a threat to throw tge ball that he wasnt then. The kicker had 5 touchbacks last week and since midseason has been killing the ball. The defense lost one starter maybe from last year. The offense has three backs with right around a 1000 apiece and about 20 tds apiece. Anyone of those guys can have a big game anytime. With all that they still have to play great to win saturday and no turnovers. Trez is still the favorite.
  21. Ok classification is based on enrollment. Trez is by far one of the most populous schools in 2A and will be in 3A next year. They barely made the cut for this brief two year stint in 2A. If Trez has 600 kids and MC has 515 then you should have a bigger inherent fan base it pretty simple math. Doesn't really matter to me should be a great game hopefully MC will win.
