Nothing wrong with enjoying the game. If Mitchell was celebrating early and lost in the end hampton would not complain about it, instead they would say how great of a team mitchell is and how great Ollison is and how he should've been a Mr BB finalist. But since they failed to win they want to down your boy's character and paint Ollison out to be a thug. Pay it no mind and enjoy yet another gold ball. And Ollison's a special player!

Finally saw Key play. Whoever said he was a top 5 in the state is extremely delusional, nor is he better than Ollison. The only reason you guys are saying that is because hampton beat Key and lost to Ollison, its not hard to see. Ollison may be a hard nosed player but its apart of the game, not like he completely disrespected anyone. Key isn't a special player and doesn't play very good competition. He wouldn't have been a finalist if he played in memphis! please stop

i was also hoping for a CBHS BA rematch after watching the brothers dominate in a neutral game in FL, but ensworth had something else in mind

they are very sharp against their competition. Curious how they would play against East in a real game due to size. But then again BA barely lost to Hamilton Heights, but i still do not believe the transplant kids(HH) are better than East.

And I'm aware that summer games are skewed, I was just stating facts about their summer games in Memphis and tryin to spark a DII vs public debate since the season is over lol

it would be interesting but I personally don't think They played last summer in the Jerry Peters Classic at MUS. BA beat East, lost to Gtown and smoked CBHS

Definitely Gtown had a nice squad this year. Just hard to make it through the AAA Shelby metro gauntlet! I'm very curious what they will be like next year bc didn't you all have like 10 seniors?

If Cordova wants to be back next year Brown needs a bigger role in the offense. But I think Houston will be a better team bc they were young

We have a game

man there are so many good kids and teams in the Shelby metro that I have a hard time choosing what games to go. We have a very athletically rich state among all sports

But he's still not a old kid just was held back. Definitely not a Chris Jones case lol

Lawson is 15 just had a birthday all the kids are their normal age. Only kid that has been held back to my knowledge is moss

Lomax isn't flashy but he plays well beyond his years

Been praising that East press all year! If you let them rush you it will get ugly

that kid will only get better he's a sophomore. He has more range than he exhibits, but doesn't have an ego and does what he has to help the team. He's a physical specimen in person. looks more like a 90's NBA SF than a 16 year old. Cordova does have the maturity and are losing 2 quality seniors that i know of, so it may be now or never for them as far as beating East. I'm going in neutral, not a follower of each I just want a good game!

Sometimes playing a team in the regular season that you could meet in the championship can help, sometimes it hurts. Cordova felt they were snubbed in the city championship by Gtown in which Gtown won over East. Some argue that was the worst game East ever played until they rallied back. But you could also argue that Gtown may have not been blown out in the playoffs if they never got the win over East in the city game or played them at all. I'm kinda glad they haven't played and we don't know what to expect and neither team has an advantage. Also happy that both teams did their part to make the matchup possible and leaving no what ifs

I'm not a fan, I just watched the game as a fan of TN high school ball. the team i follow actually lost their final 4 game (DII) also, the opponent held the ball and we didn't apply enough pressure or make enough shots as well. I know it sucks but its apart of the game.

adequate pressure couldve forced turnovers and you may have won and we wouldnt be having this discussion

i assume you prefer BTW being up by 30 and scoring 80 pts. VB doesn't belong on the floor with BTW. They're doing them just by holding it honestly.

if your opponent isn't going to pressure you on ball, why not hold it. You play the game to win not to make it easy on your opponent by jacking up shots

shot clocks are needed. but ball holding cost East more than it helped so its not the reason teams are losing if you ask me
