You can't leave 14 open but too agressive he is buy you and has a good pull up . 10 is a beast on the offensive boards . Similar to Austin Douglas from CC a couple years ago not quite that good though . How did 11 play for them against greenbrier he hit a few threes and couple drives .,usually wears a long sleeve . This team just knows how to win . Two one point wins against sycamore 5 point win vs heritage 4 point win vs greenbrier 2 win vs White House in games decided by 6 or less 8-1 that one loss first game of season to father Ryan . True team . Main reason they are number 1

Definitely give top two their props . Definitely shows you what defense can do for you . Heritage losses White House and harpeth . Not harpeth twice . Harpeth loss to heritage . Harpeth FINISHES 11-1 or 10-2 . Heritage just needs one win to secure 2nd . Coin flip for first with two wins and a harpeth loss . Only way they get in coin flip for third is two losses to greenbrier and sycamore and White House beats harpeth harpeth heritage whitehouse greenbrier/sycamore. 4/5 CC westmoreland most likely end of season standings

Next 7 days should start to clear up this district. Harpeth plays both WH schools . Heritage play 4 games in 8 days ( Sycamore twice Harpeth and greenbrier ) WH has to play 5 games in 7 days ( 3 district ) going to really have to watch minutes for players . Honestly not good . Most likely the best district in AA . Strattford and east I feel best two teams over there . 3-6 still pretty good . Maplewood MLK I feel are beatable for sure .,in saying that MLK beat heritage by 9 and 22 already.,not sure if point guard for heritage was back . Just don't think MLK is that good might not even make it to region .,Whites creek is the team that puzzles me over there . I know they lost the two bigs but returned a big #52,a left hander that was pretty smooth and a guard # 12 who could really play . I don't know maybe they have had some injuries .? The only team I have never seen play is pearl cohn . Heritage I will give the nod to in matching up because of their defense and size , outside of east I think you just have to take care of the ball don't freak out under their tight pressure . Force them to shoot outside and then get the rebound . That's why I give heritage the edge they have the size to do all that especially rebound . I think whoever finish 1&2 in 9AA will be able to be competitive against the 3&4 of 10AA if their no upsets in 10AA . Whoever catches Stratford and especially EAST will really struggle .

I have played . I have been a ref and have coached . Complaining about the refs is always going to be a problem . It's our society today we just like to complain ., we tell our kids just don't let it come down to a call . Teams or coaches that blame refs for a loss are not helping their kids succeed in life or society . It's been part of the game forever . Yes refs are going to miss calls and not be consistent and that does aggravate me . I tell our kids you have to adapt on how they are calling the game . My biggest thing with the game today is our reaction to the refs . Why can't coaches talk to refs calmly and get an answer some refs won't even respond or just give you a tech . Badgering refs as coaches or players who argue or make faces don't do them any favors with refs . When that 50/50 call comes you won't get it . We have started having our players go shake the refs hands after the game regardless . It's a thankless job and the good ones won't last they will just move up so middle school and high school will be left with the ones that are average or just want that check . Yes they are and #11 really has improved which gives them another shooter . 10&14 best players both solid . Always going to get the.hustle out of 32 . I feel this team plays so well because they seem to all play for each other and love enthusiasm their bench shows . Not sure when they play heritage but most likely that will be for the 1 seed in the tournament and automatic berth to the region

Now for the region . Well don't finish where you have to play east . Stratford is a force that any of these teams probably can't handle . I would say whites creek , maplewood . MLK or pearl cohn . This district can make it competitive . In the past 4 years i think 9AA might have two wins . Chetham two years ago and heritage last year . I don't know chetham might have won three years ago not sure but don't think so

Heritage probably best defensive team . Harperth most prepared team and somehow just keep winning . Players play hard . Greenbrier seems to have all the pieces 2 good guards one that can really shoot . A big that can play . Just can't finish games off . WH is just White House . After last night not shooting many threes and just going to the rim and shooting free throws and finally locked someone down for 10 min to only 10 points . Maybe a new philosophy and new attitude towards defense can turn them around . Only 1 game lets see how follow up at greenbrier is .?

A lot of different reasons .,no true post player .,.rely on 3 too much . Still young ., injuries . Biggest reason I see is no true point guards which translates in too many turnovers ., Devils teams of past years are ready for tournament play played in district championship last two years . I really believe by that time . Things will work itself out and they will make it back and maybe this year they figure out how to win it

Gallatin is one of the best teams in the mid state . They have size speed and plenty of shooters well really only two . They just don't miss ., . To me they have 3 dynamic players . Octavian a jr a pure shooter with unlimited range with good ball handling . Then mason who is just a great offensive rebounder with improved ball handling skills and can hit the three if you leave him alone on the outside . Most improved player is Zeul 6'6 still thin but 15 feet in pretty solid will put it on the deck and slam it on you if you give him baseline . Well coached and they have a little edge to them . Lebanon and Mt. Juliet will give them most trouble in the district . Will take a great defensive effort or scheme to knock this team off .

Devils have threee AAA wins one over McGavock which heritage lost by 13 . Lets not forget the head to head match up at your place which the devils played awful and still won . Yes being healthy will help , I still have you third or fourth behind devils and bobcats . Please don't comment about refs , everybody's excuse its part of the game not getting any better , especially if your name starts with White House , Been that way for a long long time not sure why . If the chetham team in 2012-13 didn't make it I would have to guess it's probably White House back in 2003 I believe . Not fact just a guess ., I mean do you see the district they face in region., 3 teams in top 10 in the state . A tall order to just to win a region game let alone two is what u need to get to sub state

Ok I can't say I have seen all these teams play all year . First thing record means absolutely nothing in basketball . Anybody can play a cupcake schedule for a good record . It's a tournament sport so if you can't make it to state you aren't good enough to be in the conversation, period . If you include Hamilton heights in this discussion I believe you have 4 teams very close . Brentwood academy has garland who is unguardable and can set all his shooters up . I believe Heights and east length would still be too much for them . I believe Heights and east would go down to a game 7 I think east would beat them now . Oak ridge and BA would be another great 7 game series probably going seven given the edge to BA . After those 4 to me it's a big drop off . I can't put southwind in the conversation based on what I saw in the state tournament. Freeman is great nice to finally see him . Any of those 4 above teams win easy 4-1 in a seven game series . Independence improved Brentwood plays a different style but lets be real they go down and play Cordova whitehaven and some of those other teams they probably getting beat . There are no single A teams none that could be considered in the top 25 not even close it's just a different beast . AA I don't think any could challenge the top 10 except 1 Whites Creek . When they decide to Play they can play and give you fits . Their problem is they think are better than they are and can just show up . In case state tournament. Both those games were awful games they played . Anybody watching them probably asking how this team ever made it here . All that said here is my top 5 East 96.7 Heights 96.0 Brentwood Academy 94.8 Oak ridge 94.5 Southwind 89.6
