I think it's clear from the game last night that DB has the talent and atheletes, but the players have no leadership. GC is compensated very well for making smart comments, blaming his players and basically being a clown. His time has come and gone. He needs to retire. What's more sad is DB fans seem to be okay with no state titles and just winning a game here and there. Start at the top and make changes that will make the difference. Get a coaching staff that motivates and inspires the players. Get coaches that are passionate and know more plays than just run it up the middle. That Understand depth and element of suprise Add a strength program with a qualified staff. Don't just settle.

Yes, congratulations on a good career. Now, time to retire and sit back and watch a new coach take this program to the next level and bring home some state titles.

So my understanding from posts and insiders is that GC runs the show and that is the reason why no real changes were made. He is the one who made the call on the new AD who happens to be his friend. He also was responsible for hiring the city official's son as a favor and all coaching staff decisions have been his. So nothing will change. Winning not a priority for DB. And to the post about players quitting the team, it is clear that the team's morale is down, players are embarrassed, not properly coached or trained, so why would talented young athletes want to stay?

I just have to ask DB insiders. Why didn't they make the changes needed afterlast season. Instead of blaming players, seems to me DB needs to take a look at the man in charge. DB is a school with money and has some great atheletes. They have no excuse not to have the best coaching staff around. It seems like the heart, passion and motivation of DB is gone due to the same ole same. They need change in a bad way. So sad for so many young men.

Wow, what a nightmare of a season for DB. It's so hard for me to understand how this football program has crumbled and nothing being done to make the necessary changes. DB has spent a small fortune on their facilities, but doesn't care about the football team going down the tubes. There is a season for everything and GC's season has come and gone. If he cared anything about DB, he would graciously step down. Along with several other coaches that obviously know nothing about football. Not just this year, but every single year, DB gets humilated at the playoff level. It is blamed on players, demographics, down year, blah blah blah. They need to take the blindfolds off and make some serious changes. This is not fair to the players, taxpayers or fans. There is no excuse for DB to be this pitiful.
