Oh, yeah, for whomever mentioned Peabody fans sitting on the other side........just a note: There were NO seats available on our side. I came in before the game started and all I could see were Dresden folks. They went passed the 1/2 mark on the bleachers and they stayed, so some of us had no choice but to find seating elsewhere.

You are right about the fans. Our fans were NOT much into the game after half time, until the very end. I don't understand it either. Neither of my children play basketball and I did not go to school here, but I have more spirit than most of those who graduated from PHS. By the way, I didn't mean that their team played dirty. I just thought it was a bad foul and she could have at least helped her up to show she didn't mean for it to be so hard. And the fans DID clap and some gave thumbs up while she was down. They may have not meant to be ugly, but from our side, it appeared that way. Other than that ALL was well! I think it's GREAT that their pricipal gets out on the court and leads the crowd in a cheer. As does Greenfield's assistant pricipal.

By the way, we had a freshman that started and played most of the game, also, the lady that came in to shoot the free throws for Simpson (after the HARD foul) is a Sophomore. Doesn't matter about age and size, it's HIGH SCHOOL players, you play your best....Freshman, Sophomore, Junior or Senior, whoever it is, they get the play time. Gleason has LOTS of talent on that team and will for the next few years.....as we have. Barnett, Bobbitt, and Simpson have been playing since their Freshman year. Perry is now on the same path, we will see her for the next 3 years. You say by 20 points, not necesarily. I think you underestimated the Gleason team. In my opinion, it was ANYBODY'S game. Peabody and Gleason played very well! Like I said before, "we all got our $4.00 worth!" ROLL TIDE ROLL!

You are exactly right! Megan DID step up tonight. They all were shooting well, especially in the first half, their 3pt game was great tonight!!!! And man....DEFENSE, DEFENSE, DEFENSE! Isn't it odd how it seems that one goal ummm...."works" better? Seemed that each team made their shots better on the goal with the fans at the end. Does anyone else ever notice this? I know, that's silly. Gleason played extremely well tonight too! They have several 3pt girls as well. It was a very fast paced, aggressive game. We all got our $4.00 worth! Only issue I had was with #31 and the foul against Simpson. It looked pretty painful......and as our player was down holding her face, Gleason fans were clapping and holding thumbs up. But their fans are LOUD! I gotta give it to them, they ALL have spirit!

I began all of this saying that ladyfalcon10's post was wrong, Doaks does deserve recognition and no one in Lake County can justly say that he doesn't.

It was probably either some young kids that were doing it to both sides for kicks or some of your own.

Greenfield always has a great cheering section, as does Gleason.

Miss Ladyfalcon10.................check out the 3 Finalist for Mr. Basketball and tell me again that Doaks isn't worthy of recognition. I'd say you have several people that would disagree with you.

I'm not upset that LC BOYS have beat us 3 times, cudos to LC players for that. I just cannot stand to be in the same gym with MOST of LC fans! Exclude the normal HS student body that usually go back and forth...............LC adults are just as bad. I see grown men and women mouthing at our players while they are on the court and it's absurd! Yes, I know, NOT all LC fans are that way, but a lot are! It's sad that our fans, cheerleaders, sponsers, etc. cannot go to a gym and feel safe to play basketball and have a good time! District tourney should have NEVER been played at Lake County. Yes, I know teams vote, but there were some issues regarding the voting this year. Point being.....just because YOU don't like Nicceaus Doaks, doesn't mean he doesn't deserve the recognition! He's a fine basketball player and he's a fine young man that deserves any and all recognition coming to him!

But that kind of comment is expected from a Lake County fan!

Congratulations Brandon Shane on an awesome career @ Greenfield and goodluck in college!! Glad to see Doaks get another shot at playing and I am interested in seeing what he does with his second chance. I would love to see Peabody make it to the championship game against Lake Co. because Doaks has some unfinished business and the rest of the team now knows they can win without him so I think we will see a totally different team in a game like that. With Partee emerging tonight like he did and Doaks coming back that will be a tough 1,2 punch in the paint!!!!! Good luck Trenton and all the teams left in Region 8A!!!!

YES, Doaks DOES deserve recognition! Please....give me a break, you act like YOU and your basketball players have never done anything wrong or made a mistake. Good Grief!
