Hey good to see Sunbeam finally got some since. You are correct Kingston shouldn't even show up Friday. I would hate if I played for a AAA school and knew I was going to get beat like a drum by one of the smallest schools in the entire state. Might want to see if you can forfeit, don't want to get any one hurt.

Going to be a jv game for Greenback. Still need to sort out the passing game. And for all you people saying that the run game alone will win you state obviously didn't watch Nashville Christian own us last year. Just because a couple of you were on a championship team that had an offensive line that my daughter could have ran behind and scored doesn't mean this team can do that because they can't and it will show up down the road.

I think Roberts has to be averaging close to 10 yds per touch, Gilbert always gets you positive yards and the young backs are looking good. Imagine if we lined up in the power I with Silvey at fullback, Breeden at wing back, and Roberts at tailback. That would be hard to stop!There would be holes like Brian Hanley had to run through, no would touch him until he was 5yds down the field. Eugene,Snail,Shawn made some big giant holes to run in.

I will agree with GBnation they looked out of shape for sure. Muskox makes a good point as well about the secondary,but I don't think they are as vulnerable as they looked #12 was a heck of a receiver for GP he also got away with some push offs. With the exception of the one play where #4 fell down we were in position to defend those passes just got out fought or got beat by a better athlete. The completions on the crossing routes are what concerned me especially since we seem stuck on playing the 4-4 it's a tough read for those middle lbs on play action to get back into coverage. East Ridge must be bad. Polk County must have played their j.v. against Greenback or Greenback has a defense that would rival the 1985 Chicago Bears. Polk didn't get but one or two first downs during our scrimmage.

Who is 24 on GB that kid really impressed me last night with his tenacity on defense. He doesn't mind sticking his nose in and bringing the hits. Not a bad runner either. Also #9 has some good hands what grade is he in?/name?

I think I need to clear something up no one is talking crap about Roberts there is no chance that Greenback would be anywhere close to talking about a state run without him. He is a great athlete as well as a kid must come from a wonderful family. And he deserves all the accolades, scholarship offers he can get.

Roberts is a great back for class A ball. But there have been a lot of great backs come through GHS he is definitely in the top 10 though. Joe Hall back in the 60's he had the school rushing record until Brian Hanley broke it. Before Hanley it was Queener and Arnold Plemons , no one faster than J.D. Mcdaniel then you had Michael Lemons then the Willis Brothers James and Dwight. Kayne reminds me a lot of james as far as speed and size, James ran tougher though. Cody Long, Greg Way, Seymore, Anderson. Missed a few im sure but a bunch of good backs. Roberts has the size and combined with his speed he will turn some D-1 heads I am sure, but U.T.? Can anyone name the last white RB U.T. had on the field .............. didn't think so.
