No one has ever disagreed with you there man! Let it go. Even Van Buren fans have agreed that Key is better. I will go bake Tyreke Key some homemade chocolate chip cookies while wearing a "key for president" badge and make a thread on here about it. I'm just proud of our boys. We played well. Didn't show up the second half like the first but we are definitely a different team than the 1st game. I hope there is a chance we meet again. Jacob Crain, a starter and best offensive rebounder (also who would have guarded Key) had the flu and unfortunately wasn't able to play tonight. No excuses. Both teams played great.

Can you elaborate?

Oh and also... I have "like 2 posts" but I am in no way related to Mills nor do I even live in Van Buren County. I had a very active account before but recently made a new one.

Ok first off no one has said that Caden Mills deserves it over Key. Actually, they have agreed that Key is better. That's what you think too, right? So I don't understand what case you're fighting here. You've said who you think should be nominated and who should win and I think everyone agrees. I wasn't sure if anyone would even say Mills' name but two or three people did first off so that says something. I'm going out on a limb here but I'm going to guess that you haven't seen him play many games. The kid is a long and lanky walking talent. He has dominated so many games and scored his thousandth point early in his sophomore season. The fact that Tyreke Key is much better shouldn't be a factor in your opinion about Mills. Judging by your posts on this thread it's like no one should even be breathing the same air as Key. However, I have seen your posts on other threads and no matter what they always have at least a bit of a condescending tone so you should just leave it at "I think Key should win over everyone."

Wasn't sure if anyone would throw out Mills name but I second it.

70-94 win for VB tonight. Was a good hard fought game up until end of 3rd then we pulled away.

You can't look at it like that. If their "highest scoring player" would've played we still would have won. You can't say just cause he supposedly scores 25 a game and we won by 20 that it would have been different. We would have made adjustments around this player and defended him. I thought the harvest kid was like a district player of the year or something last year. He played. Is he not their highest scoring player?

You're right lol. We never have to face a Memphis team unless we are already in Murfreesboro. Which isn't necessarily a good thing.

Van Buren went to one in Gatlinburg. They won 2 out of 3 games. The loss was to Fulton.

That's what I'm saying. The reason that team made it so far last year is pure athletic talent. Look at Mills and Roberts. You can't say a team that made a run to the state tournament is lacking in athleticism.

I was comparing the only thing I knew about Marion thus far. I think Marion will give them the biggest competition in the district but the Eagles will be district champs no doubt.

I agree. Van Buren has always had trouble with Clay and Jackson. But those two are exceptionally good teams this year too. I may be a little biased but I'm hoping they'll step it up like they did last season and go far. They are a team full of sophomores. The talent is great but the experience will come.

I don't know much about Marion this season. Yet anyways. I do know they didn't beat Sale Creek by much and Van Buren blew Sale Creek out of the water. But I don't want to get ahead of myself. Van Buren only gets better and better as the season goes on so I doubt Marion will be beating them. But we will see come January.

It is a weak district. Marion is decent this year but other than that there's not much competition for Van Buren.
