I've seen Blackman and East, they should be a good matchup. Blackman is a tough group and their leader was the state game MVP as a sophomore, they have experience is all I'm saying and that is a home game for them. East is a tough minded talented group. I wish that could be a series. Best of 5.

I haven't seen him play but I heard he doesn't abuse kids like he is capable of. He's young so if the mindset kicks in from what I hear he will be right in the conversation as well.

That's the best Lawson thus far. Like you said he is a freshman and he has to play a role which he is doing but he's very dominant when playing his age.

I'm glad you have pride in your county. I'm guessing you want me to say since kids work hard at it that they should be given credit. Wrong..... There are places everywhere that have hard working kids that aren't good. There are only a couple of standout kids in that county for basketball. I would hate to play them in football and baseball because that is what they excel in. Don't get caught up in your wording, I'm simply speaking my opinion which I'm pretty sure is close to being proven the last few years. There have been years where teams make it to sub state and maybe state, but that doesn't mean those kids are great players. They just are better at their style than the other teams. I've won district the last 3 years in my sport and it's because we aren't as terrible as the other teams, but we are terrible. I don't know how to sweeten that up any better.

Top 5 Nationally is more than being top 5 in the state. He's in my top 5 for TN. There are several players who could be in people's top 5. He's in mine.

Right now Lawson is the best in his class and would be in my top 5. Talent and skill are 2 different things.

I've MTCS play 5+ times. The most recent being their region game against Lead. Saw Mitchell in December

Hate it that you think Sumner county has any teams that stand a chance to compete outside the area. You may need to flip to a football forum if you want to hear some truth that will make you feel proud of your kids. There aren't more than a couple good players there and you play a slow down game in order to make up for not having the talent to compete. Put your grown up pants on and take the truth

Yeah the boring controlled unathletic teams. Gallatin is terrible, Hendersonville is terrible, Station Camp is solid, that district is terrible all together. Portland is the worst. JPII had the most athletic 2 kids. Hatten signed for Baseball and Cambridge is a soph. I know that area.You can't be serious with that statement

They have played their fare share. They are well coached. The guys are super dusciplined. USA TODAY has them ranked #25 in the country. Once they beat Spain Park they were considered real deal

Maddox would do great with any team with a couple of players. That county that Station Camp is in is very controlled. Kids aren't cut loose. I expect it to be a good game.

Blackman is ranked #25 on the country. Why wouldn't they be a threat to anyone?? They are undefeated including a tournament Qin in a invite only Bahama's tournament. They are real deal and I think the hone crowd will be a bonus.

I'm going with Station Camp. They are playing some of the best defense I've seen at the HS level. They are very unselfish and take smart shots on offense. The biggest thing is that they trust each other

BTW has more athletes and kids who have played basketball. They win big!

If they force Key to shoot and not let the big kid rebound like crazy Hampton has a chance. They aren't there by chance they play well together. I think it comes down to free throws

Moss is extremely talented and Lomax is oil in that motor but long term all coaches look for are skilled tall kids. That's why I say Lawson. Just going off of a player's talent, Moss no doubt
