Ill1999 I'm confused about your use of "we" and "your". What high school team do you support? That answer should clear it up for me. No recruiting in county or out of county. Isn't recruiting against TSSAA rules.
The kids from Knoxville were in good standing. One had to sit out almost have the year before he played. I'm thinking you can live in OR and go to Clinton with no problems. I think. Doubt that Mike Mullins or Joe Gaddis are afraid or ashamed about how they did/do their job.
I'm thinking more about the waterfront next to Calhoun's (maybe catch a glimpse of the white van when that bunch pulls in). And I'm not talking families here ("no parents required" as stated in original fantasy), I'm talking football players. I'm not talking driving around Knoxville. I'm talking talking about chauffeuring them from Villa Ln. to the school and back.
TSSAA....watcha gonna do?
Besides, I'm not talking only Knoxville. I'm talking Nashville, Memphis, upper East Tennessee. I would think many of the transfers within Knox Co. have a longer commute(time and/or distance) to their chosen school than to Oak Ridge. Get'er done. TSSAA......watcha gonna do?
Ok guys here goes. Oak Ridge has plenty of money in this town and an outstanding alumni network. Let's begin building a series of 2 bed 2.5 baths villas out on the water and go looking for football players. It won't take long before their looking for us. No parents required. TDSSA........watcha gonna do?
Just amazing that parents would packup a house, possibly move multiple children, drive back and forth to work,ect.,ect. So that a kid could a sport for two or maybe just one year. Then what?
If the above is true, I had no idea that many families would pack up and move so their son could play football for Clinton or any other program. Getting old I guess.
It's become the lamest oversight/governing body I can think of. Total derelict of duties. Seems to have started when Knox Catholic was given public school status Penny Hardaway.
It seems that some of us want high school football to be the hometown kids sport. Myself included. "The last pure sports venue". I don't know how, but if someone could start a thread(I don't know how) to discuss just what is happening. Maybe the TSSAA is reading. Just a thought.
