Sorry I meant to say Brian Evans and his great color guy, Seth Butler. You guys really do a good job and I appreciate listening to Cosby and CCHS games that I do not go to. Keep up the good work.

UH OH!! I got my dates wrong, but what does everybody think about the upcoming love fest on Valentines Day with Morr. East??

On Monday the Eagles play GP at home. This is always a good game with our neighbors but I predict the Eagles will prevail. On Tuesday the Eagles host Morristown East (AAA). If we can get all our players healthy and back on the court we should take this game as well. Not that the subs haven't done a superb job of stepping up when needed. What does everyone think??

I think that Cosby can have a successful football and basketball team. The key is hard work. Coach Shelton did a good job generating excitment and pride into the football program and I think he will only build on that in the coming years. When the younger kids go to the games and see the excitement and pride that the varsity players have then they begin working toward the goal of playing when they get in high school. As you can see it is a chain reaction -- success breeds success. Work hard in the off season and set high goals. GO EAGLES!!

I'll take Cosby but it could be beneficial down the road if was actually a close game. I am concerned that come tourney time that Cosby will not be prepared for close matchups because most of their games have been blow outs. Great wins for Cosby, but tight games and good competition make teams better. I hope that Cosby doesn't become complacent by having blow outs most of their games. Next year I think Cosby should host a Christmas tourney and invite some of the top A teams from the Chattanooga, Middle and West TN areas. If we want to contiune to have great teams, we need to go outside the local area to see what kind of competition is really out there, so we can compete for the state title year after year. With Gatlinburg being so close I think it would be easy to get teams to come here for a Christmas tourney, plus a great money maker. Speaking of money maker, why doesn't Cosby have uniforms that match?? With a team as good as ours we should at least be able to outfit the team to match and have uniforms that doesn't have holes in them. I doubt money is a problem judging by the crowds, but if so we should have a fund raiser. I think we should look as sharp as we play!! Enough said ---GO EAGLES!!!

I think it would be benificial to play teams from other parts of the state such as Chattanooga, Middle and even West TN. The only way to really get better is to play high levels of competition. Blow out games do not test teams usually a team lowers their level of play when playing poor teams. Maybe scheduling such games during the Christmas break would work or Cosby could host a Christmas tourney and invite teams from other areas. I agree that Cosby has not been truely tested yet and it could hurt come tourney time.

Hopefully we will be ready. I think it will be a good game, but I hope no 7 OT'S!!

I guess I was wrong it wasn't much of a close game. Rockwood only scored either 2 or 3 points in the third quarter to Cosby's 17. Not sure what the final score was but Cosby won by about 25. I was disappointed at Rockwood's play. They didn't look like they were hustling very much and did not play hard. I really thought it would be a closer game, but way to go EAGLES!! Next up Unaka. I hope that game doesn't go 7 OT's like Unaka's game the other night. Look for a good one though!

I think this game will be a lot closer than the first meeting. Look for this game to go down to the wire. I think Rockwood will mix up the defense a lot and try to get the Eagles out of sync. But in the end the Eagles will prevail. GO EAGLES!!!

What kind of game will it be? Do you think Cosby will win big?

As a general rule that is true, but just because you are a AAA school doesn't mean that the competition is always better in AAA. Just from mere statistics of AAA schools having more athletics to choose from, should make them a stronger team than A schools, but once again not always. As for A teams not as competitive, A teams playing A teams are just as competiitive as AA or AAA. All teams want to win and there are good teams and bad teams in all classifications. A good A team playing antoher good A team is just as competitive as AA or AAA. As for coaching, I think that most coaches want to win reguardless of the size of the school. I would rather coach a superior A team as a poor/average AA or AAA team. So all answers are not AAA!!! DUH

I saw the Cosby/PF game earlier this year when Cosby got beat. Cosby lead most of the game but they continued to let PF hang around. PF started hitting and made a run and came out ahead at the end. PF has a pretty good "team" -- no one outstanding player, but they play good together as a team and don't give up. Cosby can definitely beat them, but will probably be a close game at PF. I say Cosby by 10.

I saw the game Unaka played at Cosby and was amused by the coaching staff at Unaka. I don't know if they coach every game like they did at Cosby, but it was very unique. The head coach did most of the coaching, however the assistant which I think is the head coaches brother, made all of the substitutions without consulting the head coach. It was a very different coaching technique. But, hey it must work, they are the defending State Champions!! I was just wondering if anyone from Unaka would comment on their coaching style. Good luck to the Rangers at the State!!

TheChsnOne2223 - I have seen several postings from you indicating that many doubted or hated CAK including Cosby. I am a Cosby fan and we have a lot of respect for CAK. There is a big difference between good competition between two good teams and haters of a each other. The rivalary between the two schools created ballgames with great atmospheres and at no time did I witness unsportsman like conduct among fans or players. As for this Cosby fan I say good luck to CAK at the state tourney! And yes I hope I get to watch you on TV in the championship.

I do not know anything about Ezell Harding, but I have seen CAK play several times this year and it is hard for me to imagine any single A school in the state just runnignover them like some of the postings indicate. I do not think it will happen. CAK can play with any single A school in the state.
