I'm just glad Coalfield will be playing back in their district with local refs. York's Head ref was a disgrace to himself, the game, and just the truth in general. I don't know how good Harriman is this year? Do they have a lot of Seniors like last year?

A 3-5 Defense with big, slow LB's and a Single Safety playing 15+ yards off the ball as a general rule does not fare well against a very good passing team!

I like watching the Wing-T when I can't go to sleep at night. lol. But York can't compete in a high flying scoring contest.

They mus have the deepest bench in all of Single A football.

I think only 7 different Coalfield players scored. So York can narrow it down to only 7.

What happened 3 Decades ago? Wartburg has twice as many students as Coalfield.

Oneida likes to roll down hill with the running game if you know what I mean. Should win easy.

Wartburg is suppose to have an improved team and better coaches from last year. But I think you will see a very very aggressive Coalfield team that feels like they have something to prove every game, including this one!

According to 1461 Media Productions on twitter, Oneida, Jellico, Midway, Harriman, Northview, and Wartburg have better players than Coalfield!! ?? Who runs that show?

They scrimmage Coalfield Tuesday. That should give you a good idea of where they are at and what they have.

They scrimmaged Stone Memorial tonight.

I saw the Carrol kids the other day and he looks massive this year. Somehow not Pre-season all state!They played Rockwood the other day in 7on7 and overall speed is definitely better than last year. They have 3 really fast players by my count including the QB. Scrimmaging Kingston and Stone Memorial soon. This team grew up last year from the first GB game to the second. It will be hard to slow them down as they feel they have a lot to prove. Tremendous off-season effort by many of the players.

We can keep talking about it and you old timers can keep telling me how much you know, but we shall see in a very short time if I'm right or not. But it doesn't seem like either one of you know much about the current team to be honest.

I'm not sure when the last time some of you have watched Coalfield but they do have a major D1 talented lineman and he is only a junior. They have the best starting 5 they have had in a very long time with a lot of playable depth off the bench.

We'll see who put the hammer down in the off season after a few games. Much bigger deal than it use to be in the old days.

I hope the Wartburg team does well. The last coach put little to no effort into it and it showed. No one wants to put all that hard work in and go 0-10. They will do better this year from what I hear. High school is all about player development these days. They use to be competitive with Coalfield, so maybe this coach in time can bring that back.

Coalfields spring practice went well, except for those still playing baseball. Much bigger and faster than last years team. Speed and size are obvious. Got turned down by several 3A,4A, and private schools to play this year and I can see why. Looks like a much improved team from last year.
