Well, I am the first to admit when Im wrong. I was wrong. Greenback surprised me. You guys obviously played a heck of a game. I am a Coalfield fan through and through, but I will absolutely be cheering for the Cherokees to win. I may even drive over for the game. Great job and it has been fun getting to know some of you guys on the message board.Tell your boys good luck and bring that championship back to our region.

I saw on the other post people saying GB is 3 or 4 touchdowns better than Coalfied. We played twice this year. Neither time did we lose my 3 or 4 tds. South Pitt wins by 14+. Greenback is a good team. They just have not dealt with the speed and intensity SP will bring on Friday. I hope I'm wrong. Good luck

You know the one thing that kills great teams is over confidence and getting surprised by a team of fighters. It's only tuesday, and I have had my fill of the bull that is slowly rising on this thread. If you think your team is so great then stand behind it. Don't give me the I'm scared junk I see on here. I'm worried that Coalfield will beat us. Here is my opinion. Roberts is a heck of a ball player and seems to be a pretty good boy. You guys have a great team. On paper you should beat us, but I will make a huge prediction. You will not. You will lose. It will not be the refs fault or whining fans from Coalfield who will beat you. It will be a team that has heard they don't have a chance. It will be a group of kids that like the thought of being a giant killers. I would also tell any Greenback fans that would be interested that the Jackets will be tailgaiting before we take the field against South Pitt next week if you guys want to make the trip to see the game. Heck, stop by my tent. I may even let you guys sample in some Coalfield cuisine. Jackets by 6.

Maybe Coalfield will just throw in the white towel at the coin flip. I just hope the Jackets have enough courage to get off the bus and face the mighty Cherokees. I wonder if Roberts will sign Parker's jersey for him after the game. I heard that all the Coalfield boys have already gotten advance tickets to the Greenback vs Southpitt game. As a Coalfield fan I just want to say thank you mighty Greenback for allowing us on your field friday night.

If Greenback wins do they travel next game? If Coalfield wins do they travel? These questions are assuming South Pitt wins?

I hope history continues to repeat itself. No matter what one of these teams have to be the East champion. Just hearing South Pitt makes my stomach hurt.Also, I would love to shut these Greenback folks up.

The only thing that will beat Coalfield is Coalfield. Harriman was a pretty good team the early in the season, but they drastically took a turn for the worse after the Jackets shattered their dreams. If Coalfield shows up the only thing they will encounter on that long climb up the mountain is a slow bus ride and some cold weather. Coalfield by 14.

Roberts should have another 250+ game if he plays at least three quarters. That kid is a work horse.

All jokes aside for the post this week. Greenback is a very solid 1A team. Sad to see two kids hurt in the game. We will hopefully see you in the playoffs. I'm still proud of the boys from Coalfield. On to the next one.

This game has been slow and boring for two of the best out of the East. Roberts is a heck of a runner, but that O line is giving him holes big enough for those trucks surrounding the field to drive threw. Coalfield looks like junk on D.

Pridless, you seem like the only one on this thread that has any idea of how bad this will get for Greenback.

I wonder if we could spot Greenback 14 to start the game. That way the fans will get their moneys worth on their ticket.

The good thing is that Andy Griffith reruns will be on around 8:30 tonight just in case Coalfiled has this one taken care of by half time. I hope we bring some eight graders with us tonight. I think it would be great to let them get some playing time before we get to the real game of the season against Oneida.
