Heard beech hired a new assistant coach. I have known his family for years. Haven't had the opportunity to talk to him sense the move but that is big time hire for them. True basketball mind

they look good they got one of the most athletic players and best shooters in sumner co to transfer in that will be a huge help. They needed more athletes, Still missing a post player that can dominate when the shots arent falling but they have enough shooting that it might not be a factor until late in the year. They should be fun to watch though

Got a call from a friend of mine close to the program and said everyone at White House has been let go!? Shocked to say the least but not surprised because its White House and the basketball program and no one knows or cares whats going on their with people in charge and that goes back to Coach Bryant haha!! If it aint football it doesn't matter there. Good luck to those coaches hopefully the young ones land on their feet and hopefully those kids get a good coach come in because that team is talented!! Any news on hiring at white house or these coaches going elsewhere let us know I am curious

AA Lockett East Nashville Jared Ward White House only two players worth mentioning are talking about. Ward out of White House you have to show him love didn't even know the school exist up there if we didn't play them I would have never got to see the Kid play. I've been following him ever since Ward stats this year 21.5 points per game 3.6 assists per game 5.6 rebounds per game 4.4 steals per game Top five in the state and total points leads the state in steals and steal to turnover ratio also these stats are without the last three games being posted yet and I know he went for 41 in one of those games if you haven't heard of him or seen him play you need to check him out. Lockett is a triple double guy Season stats 14.3 points per game 4.7 assists per game 9.1 rebounds per game 3.5 steals per game I've seen him play many times is very good very athletic love watching him play.

I am going to guess thats not how it usually goes for heritage but from what I saw it wasnt pretty last night! tough loss guys! this district has always been fun to watch and read about, the only time you knew anything that was going to happen in this district was that 3 or 4 year run CC had you knew they would make it, just who else would it be. This year I really dont know who the 2 in the finals will be, or even the 4 that make it to region this tourny will be very fun and interesting. As will ours with the new format first round game really matters

!0 for harpeth is good also, just the 2 games I saw them play 14 looked better but then again I have only seen 2 games lol. You could tell it was 10 and 14 team who ever was playing better that who they would go to. But I agree I dont think you have to double anyone dont think anyone can give you 50 points if the team knows how to play defense at all...and the stats can be found on unapproved website I will try to find the link for you

not a homer to any team in this district I have stated that many times but there are only 3 choices of mvp in this district and that is number 14 for harpeth 24 for heritage (stats havents seen play yet) and 5 for wh 14 is just a winner does anything needed to win and a matchup problem best team in district (record) 24 for heritage top 60 in state 244 (12.2 per) in scoring and top 50 in rebounds 127 (6.4 per) plus team record 5 for wh top ten in state in scoring 459 (21ppg) top 15 in state in assists 69 (3.1 per) top 60 in state in rebounds 119 (5.5 per) LEADS STATE in steals 97 (4.4per) LEADS STATE in assist to turnover ratio 2.69 there is ZERO doubt number 5 for white house is the best player in the district, those are Mr. Basketball type numbers (trust I have been around a couple tennessee Mr. Basketball in my time in these numbers are similar if not better than some. BUT his team record is not that good which my cost him the mvp who knows. According to what I have been reading on this thread WH has no shot to win the regular season so if they can get to 2 or 3 is it good enough for him to win the mvp IDK. I saw if his team finishes 2nd it is if they finish 3rd ehhh... sorry I have no stats for number 14 guys, does anyone? As long as the seeding stays the same hard not to give this guy the MVP! If 24 gets his team to first in the district then he is your MVP. The real question is if 5 gets his team to 2nd and 24 gets his team to 1st who wins it?? just an observation from the games I have seen of these teams in the district...I haven't seen EVERY team which team are you apart of, and I will let you know if you're one of them I haven't seen play?

that is true about past wh teams being in the championship game last 2 seasons and it would be an upset if they dont make it back this year because they are the most talented team in a very bad district...and if the talent aint winning against inferior competition then its more times than not a coaching issue or an internal thing. I have been to several games over last couple years and I will tell you the differnce I see, its a little bit of both coaching and internal and its starting to show its face on the court which is not good for this program. It has become very obvious that the team will not pass the ball to number 5 in the open court (internal) i am not sure of the reason, but a guess of mine is because EVERY time down the floor the coach is yelling to get him the ball. (coaching)...dont get me wrong that kid is a good player I am sure he spends a lot of time in the gym (has to with that shooting form) but you can not call everything for him and expect the other kids to play hard for you or enjoy playing. He has several flaws in is game (thats a quote from a local college coach) plays the whole game but doesnt play hard the whole game. (coaching) but the past wh teams the coach didnt have his hand in the game as much he just let them play more. now im not sure if that is because the old guy had more say in previous years or if the young coach is too focused on trying to win like SC did with Jenkins (this kid 5 in no jenkins, also Jenkins team didnt win also he didnt play the whole game) this wh team has more talent at every position including the bench than every team in the district (coaching). they should be running away in the district and COMPETING against the region but they get smacked by those guys... and maybe they will go on a run and run the table or maybe they wont and lose again in the district championship or somehow not reach it. Its 100 percent not 5 fault (coach) and the players (kids) shouldnt punish him by not throwing it to him when hes open. But if you want to see wh succeed (and idc no dog in the fight) but care for the kids and basketball as a whole then stop acting like the kid is Jenkins start playing more team ball and free (like past wh teams) and wh fans can think me on here at the end of the year lol!! good luck to everyone in this district for the rest of the year see two of yall in the region!!

white house didnt move of AAA until 2006 or 2007 the first or second year they were in AA they went to the state tourny...but yes they finished last in AAA from 2001-05

very weak district. wish wh was playing one of the metro schools early like they have been so we could see what they have. to me their best game was the loss to gallatin keeping that close heard they should have one that one too. but so far they haven't played anyone and wont until the region, unless they play gallatin again? I have seen all the teams in this district play this year except for heritage and that because I know what they do until the old guy leaves the program...heard one of the guys I had to play against might be taking that job soon! So I have heard there a couple new coaches in this district for this up coming year. But didn't hear either name I expected to hear!! And definitely heard a name leave I thought would never leave! First Coach Mason at Greenbrier was a shock, I would like to know why he left. Unless he is going back to coach college basketball. Greenbrier is his home, royalty out there Second I thought without a doubt Coach Petrone would leave heritage after last seasons great year. Just seemed like a good way to go out his resume is full. And if I am not mistaken they have a young coach on the bench with them? But if not I know SC old assistant coach is coaching at one of those christian schools up there in white house. I am sure he would love a shot in that district. Third how in the world is Coach Smith not retired yet? I mean his resume is better than Petrone I have no idea why he is sticking around. I think he has done all he can do up there for them. I am not sure the reason but there has got to be one, but I know they hired that young fiery middle school coach that WH used to have. I was unaware coach Smith was back until I saw him at gallatin camp this summer. The young guy coached this tournament last year (at least the game I attended) I just assumed he would be the guy this year! all in all Mason shocking! Petrone and Smith retire y'all have had great careers let these young guys take over and get some action! The game is changing so do the coaches, like I said previously great careers and have done well at both schools but it is time to move on or retire. I am not a white house guy but I know the 2 young coaches there personally from aau many years ago. And if they were able to recruit up there they would be loaded cause all the kids I am around want to play for them. But they both played at white house and doubt they would leave to go anywhere else until the program is turned around or they get a better offer, like private school or some college where they can go recruit who they want. I wish them the best up there!!

I have seen him play a few times this year...idk how he would far in public school ball. He is too soft for private school ball.

If my math is correct there are 99 boys games across the state on sat, with 3 officials per game that means ALL the refs will be used which probably means the best refs (or the good ones) wont be together which means there will be some poorly officiated games with some guy trying to prove his worth in a crew where he is the least experienced. Most games are going to have a really good one(most experience) and then 2 bad ones unfortunately but what can they do, not like they have a ton of people lining up at the door to get yelled at by high school kids and coaches lol. And lord help them if they make a call against someones baby that parent looses their mind. Anyway I just thought that was an extreme amount of games with a depleted ref pool. I have no dog in the fight but like I said at the beginning of the year the number one team will get the mvp not always how it should be, but in this day and age thats how it is, and it usually hardly ever goes to most VALUABLE it goes to "best" player or most outstanding player. They should either change the name to MOP like the ncaa did years ago or start giving out 2 awards for most valuable and then the best...most Valuable is the pg from heritage.
