Jason, your boys deserve better than what they are getting. I can speak from experience love him or hate him coach Mathis is a great coach and even better person. I'm not telling you what to do but I would get my kids off the mountain asap, they would both thrive at MC. Coach Mathis works tirelessly to get not only his kids to the next level but any kids in the valley he can. He runs a first class program and puts the kids need above all else. He has said on numerous occasions he wants them to have the best experience possible.

Ultimately the decision to move the game was the athletic director from Bledsoe County Marion County had no say so in when or where the game is played it was totally there call.

That is why some teams schedule a harder non-region schedule to prepare them for the playoffs. Because it doesn't hurt if you lose those non region game.

I'll take a loss to South Pittsburg every year if that means we get to play for the title in Cookeville.

I'm not saying SC is bad team and that it's not a good win for SP. But the team we played last Friday were as big as SC, maybe not as well coached, but just as big. And probably a few better athletes.

Personally I hope tate never wins another game, after what he did to MC, and tried to do to SP. And yes I'm biased because my son playes for MARION COUNTY, and I can not praise coach Mathis enough. He goes above and beyond to help not only MC players get to the next level but any kid in the valley he can. He and his assistants treats all the kids with respect and tries to make their high school years memorable. And if I had a child playing for that idiot tate, I would get him off the mountain asap.

As long as Grundy has tate as a coach, you are not gonna win or be revalant. I now that's harsh, but the truth hurts. And until someone one the mountain grows a pair and fires him, nothing will ever change.
