Well everyone wants to win. Winning is why you play any game. I don’t think that makes anyone entitled if you’re putting in the work. It’s like my nephew asked me after last season ended. “Unc if you work hard at your job and try to help make the place you work at better and help it grow but never get a raise or feel appreciated. Do you stay there just because of the friendships you have made or do you go somewhere else that is wanting to grow and continue to get better?” I told him he had a good point and told him sometimes it’s much easier to be lifted up and elevated than it is to be the one trying to lift everyone else up. Especially when they aren’t trying to elevate and grow but ultimately he had to make a decision on what he thought was best for him. It is 2025 kinfolk and sports in general is becoming a business. Kids are becoming millionaires by learning how to promote themselves on social media. Marketing and extra exposure gives them opportunities for followers and with that comes $$ and eventually NIL and scholarships. This is part of the game now and it isn’t just sports that this applies too. I’m just keeping it real

East Nashville can nap between now and November. Mase have some grown men but they gotta find a QB to make them go. West is loaded. East is all Marion and nobody else is close. I’m just keeping it real

Several players from Chatt Prep about left to go to South Pitt. I think one was talking to Marion about coming. Some also talking about Tyner now. Most of this stuff is college football portal’s doing but don’t get it twisted kinfolk. It’s the kids. With social media they all talk smack to each other and most recruit the other to come play with them. Kids want to win and if you think it’s ok for a school or community to hold them back from leaving when they dont even support football then you’re not living in 2025. It’s not what have you done for me lately. It’s what can you do for me right now! Kids gonna chase rings just like the Daddy’s that never played sports do in little league and baseball. This was one game as a fan I gave a pass for Marion not feeding Pickett. I still think they should have went to him on several big plays but the defense bailed them out. Milan was pretty terrible on offense. Their fwd pass was as bad as I have witnessed. I didn’t realize Milan was that 1 dimensional but when I did I knew Marion just needed to bleed clock and not turn it over. The interception return on first drive and the stopped 4th down call on 30 yard line for Milan was difference in game. Both offenses could only muster 1 scoring drive each that wasn’t off of a turnover. The Marion boys defense won the game today. Pickett did what he does but imo should have been on display more. They could simply not tackle him. Great season and one for the record books. I don’t believe I realized it had been 30 years for Marion to win one. Happy for those boys. They did what they needed to do and made the plays when it mattered. I’m just keeping it real

Ball game right there! Milan’s offense is super vanilla. Not impressed at all with Comer’s play calling. Marion has had chances to blow this thing wide open. Glad they decided to kick to go up 2 scores. That should do it barring anything crazy. Good job boys! Yall earned it today. I’m just keeping it real

Yeah they will for sure and I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make. South Pitt got stomped by Oliver Springs but was not the same team later in year when they played Chatt Prep. Barely beat Prep then stomped Whitwell. Football is about matchups and what gameplan that team has that week.

Charter schools are allowed to bring in whatever kids and families that want. It’s about opportunities for kids. This is the only advantage these kids get. Mase will add plenty more by the time August rolls around. I’m just keeping it real

Mase could have lined up and just handed the ball off all night. QB is special and makes them go no doubt but the MVP was Mase OLine. They abused Pitts D. I don’t recall of a negative rush the entire game. It was 6/7/8 yards every play. Nothing fancy, No shifting over just here we go, you can’t stop it. I’m just keeping it real

It will be between them and Fairley every year in Region 8. This Championship will bring in a ton of kids from surrounding schools. They aren’t going away I can promise you that. Huntingdon, Milan, Jackson Central, Peabody & Union City will be the unfortunate souls that have to match up with them to just get to Round 3. Milan is really the only school that can come close to matching up to them but nobody in Region 7 will have the overall talent and athletes Mase does. Whoever makes it to Semifinals in the West will have earned it. I’m just keeping it real

Told yall kinfolks! Mase just too much for Pitt this year. Them big boys started leaning on South Pitt D. When Mase decided to start playing power football and lined up and crammed it down SP mouth that first drive it set the tone. Fumbled kickoff was nail in coffin kinfolks. I’m just keeping it real.
