  1. I'm just gonna call "no action" on the $100 and pull for Cookeville. I've had a change of heart.
  2. If Blair isn't playing, I'm gonna have to change my prediction. Cleveland has almost Zero chance to win if she doesn't play. Cookeville - 58 Cleveland - 40
  3. Hahahaha. Ok, now that was funny. But I'm still pulling for Cleveland on Friday. And just to be clear, I wasn't bashing the AC repair man ( But I do think whoever was supposed to call him didn't call him soon enough).
  4. "Bashing Thread"??? Who has been bashed?
  5. $100 donation to my Lady Panthers if Cleveland wins Friday night? Or I send $100 to your Lady Cavs? Book it!!! Let's go Cleveland. ---Score Prediction--- Cleveland - 52 Cookeville - 44
  6. Out of all the people that work there, they only had ONE person placed at the ticket gate to sell tickets and check temps (only ONE). The line was 50 ppl deep. The guy at the score table may have been reading what was written down, but who was the person that wrote it down? He was corrected by coach Buck and he basically said "screw you". The girl's assistant coach started arguing with some parents during coach Buck's exchange with the announcer. It was an act of Congress to get some ice for our players after the game. CHS student section asking Stone kids to go outside to fight. As soon as the game was over, the AC came on to start cooling the gym. Last night, Cookeville got out played, out coached & out classed by STONE MEMORIAL. There is a reason CHS was voted least respected school in 6AAA.
  7. I stand by my "jerk" comment... I hope Cleveland beats Cookeville. There was about 6-7 things that were done by Cookeville admin and coaches that were lacking class. But like I said before, "what's new"?
  8. The announcer & coaching staff was the icing on the cake. (It was Pitiful).
  9. I hope Cookeville gets beat by Cleveland. (Probably won't happen, but that's what I'm hoping for). Not much class displayed by CHS tonight. But hey, what's new?
  10. I didn't say you "said"... I said you "insinuated" which is how I took the statement you made about "Stone left starters in until final 2 mins".
  11. Stone pulled their starters as soon as Cookeville did. Insinuating that Stone tried to run the score up by leaving starters in is a joke. You can't find a game that Stone has ran up a score since Coach Buck has been there. Especially against a district opponent. If he coached how some other coaches do (leaving players in the game for stats), Tessa Miller would have 3,000+ points and 2,000+ rebounds and probably be averaging a triple double this year. Some of the stats for so many players in the Upper Cumberland are so watered down its ridiculous. But hey, it looks good on twitter, facebook and in the newspaper to people that are clueless. [Different era these days. #soft]
  12. Yeah, "just a tad better". They were 30 points better tonight. Running clock the entire 4th Quarter. Lady Cavs gave up early.
  13. Stone Memorial's defense may have had a little something to do with Cookeville playing "terrible" & "30%" last night. They held CHS to only 6 points in the 4th Q. Stone is only giving up 42.7 points per game in their first 3 district contests. Going (2-1) with a loss at Warren Co. without (Eldridge) probably their best defender - out with ankle injury. Stone has had some off nights on the offensive end of the floor, but they will guard and make teams earn buckets every night.
  14. I don't think they should restrict any specific group from attending games. Nobody said grandparents are required to come, but they should have the option to make that decision. Set a capacity number & sell tickets to priority groups first and the rest to the general public. Just my opinion.
  15. Yeah, those districts not playing games and/or playing games without allowing parents into the gym have lost their minds. I'm gonna bet the people that are making those decisions don't have a kid playing. It's sad.
  16. I think it's pitiful that they didn't allow the cheerleaders/dance team to continue participating in basketball games. Makes zero sense to me. They have no contact with the other cheer teams for the other schools, unlike the players. If I was a cheer parent, I would not be happy.
  17. Why are grandparents not allowed to come to games? In a lot of cases, they are around these kids as much as the parents and have helped raise these kids. I understand that TSSAA guidelines exclude them currently, but why? I think they should change that until they go back to normal attendance. There is plenty of room for them to come into these 1/2 empty gyms and maintain social distancing. We are only talking about 20 or so extra fans. Anyone have any thought?

  19. Knoxville area does have 5-6 really good teams. Maryville did beat SM 1st game of season at Maryville. They shot it really well that night. I'd say Farragut is the best team in Knoxville. But, I like Stone Memorial against anyone at a neutral site this year.
  20. Tessa Miller - Stone Memorial H.S. - Belmont Signee Best player in the State this year and probably one of the least selfish. I'll take Stone Memorial to win AAA State Tournament this year. They would have won it last year if not for Covid. Hopefully they will get another chance.
  21. Hey Now, watch it.... That was a low blow. I wasn't expecting to get any flak from any Sparta fans today. Haha..
  22. Bradley County - Bradley Central.... What's the difference? Who cares?
  23. I'm picking Stone Memorial Lady Panthers to win it ALL!!! They have been tested and have played solid all season. Especially here lately... They probably had the toughest road getting to Murfreesboro of all the AAA schools. They played at East Hamilton, at White Co, Bradley Co and at Blackman. They are playing well right now and have a lot of confidence. They have 7 players that can score double digits and really defend inside and out. Very unselfish basketball team with a high IQ coaching staff that has plenty of experience coaching in Murfreesboro. I would say Bradley Co. is probably the favorite, but all 8 teams are beatable. Should be a good tournament.
  24. Stone didn't play their best game tonight, but played well enough to beat an average Blackman team. If this game has been played at SM, it would have been Stone by 20+. However, Stone would beat Blackman 9 out of 10 times regardless of where they played this year. And, since you brought it up, for the record, I'll tell you what is down this year... (District 7AAA) & (Region 4AAA). They haven't been down like this in about 10 years. Everybody knew all year long that Bradley Co & Stone Mem were both going to be at the State Tournament this year. Region 3AAA was just much better than Region 4AAA this year.
