This is what I like about the playoffs.I have been to many different states and country's around the world but have never been to many parts of my own state or ever even heard of many other towns if not for the playoffs.I'm sure Just like Greeneville,Cornersville has some great history and is a beautiful place to live with some fine people .

My Devil playing days are long gone and I didn't have a kid playing so I'll respond as a Devil football fan who watched a great game by two great teams .AC had an awesome team and came to play.They scored 31 points in the first half.They made the plays in the first quarter ,while Greeneville made the mistakes .Greeneville had 100 yards of penalties,so they will have to work on not getting caught.Your QB is a great player but was very lucky there wasn't atleast a 5th pick and that one for 6.Greeneville made some adjustments like trying to stop that little slant behind our linebacker by moving a player inside to help.For gosh sakes,do you think Greeneville's coach would have kept throwing towards our best defensive back like AC's coach.That doesn't look like a better coach to me, that looks like a man that was going to lose a big lead and not score in the 2nd half.As far as hitting a QB and causing harm,it looked like your linebackers were hitting our QB pretty darn hard on those keepers in the first half.That's called football and both teams were knocking the chit out of each other.Great game but one team had to lose,it was the team that kept throwing towards a lockdown defensive back .

I like that.Reminds me back in the day when I done drywall finishing and was working on a church in the mountains of NC.Ask a guy if he done any trading on guns .He said he didn't mess with them much but his brother did.He then said all he had in the truck was about 4 or 5 hand guns and his shotgun.He sure enough did but didn't think nothing of it,like everyone had that many in their truck.Those are some great folks over there but you better not mess with them,{to much}.I remember when I first got there,I was carrying 4 buckets of joint compound [ about 245 pounds ] and holding them a little higher and acting like it only weighed about 25 pounds as I walked past several guys into the church.Didn't take long,I heard them trying to do the same and about to kill themselves.I then walked back by them ,kept a straight face and said sometimes I get a 5th bucket in my teeth to save trips.When I got to door,I turned around and started laughing and said for goodness sakes don't try that ,I was just messing with you.We got along just fine and they were some of the best people you will ever find.

That happens sometimes .My only concern was where the ball went afterwards.He is a great kicker .I don't know him but his family is top notch.His grandmother was one of kids babysitter years ago and that whole family is just awesome.

Fine job BVD.I still haven't figured out where in the heck the ball went on that one missed FG,I think it went right but he might have kicked it so hard it disintegrated.Once again just a great job by the Devils.It's a team sport and every part of the team got it done in the end.Bottom line is the Devils are still playing and I hope we tighten up a few things from this game and I'm sure the coaches have been working since Friday night to prepare.Gosh,like I told the staff on the press box after the DB game,you guys are something special and that's what it takes to turn games like this around.Still can't believe AC was shutout in the 2nd half.AC is the real deal and my hats off to them.NOW DEVILS,what have you won so far.That's right ,a conference championship.Heck, a lot of NET teams do that and brag for years.Let's go get what counts starting Friday night !!

I hope you guys are full strength and there are no what if's after the game.I also hope the Devils play a little more disciplined game next week.100 yards of penalties ,blocked punt for TD and another turnover out of the gate will get you beat in most games.Devils need to speed that kick up on punts.you better know they will look at our game film and come after it next week.

That didn't take long.I don't think the band should play when either team is running a play.It's down right stupid when your own team has the ball.DB's band even has done it but they are atleast the star of the show.No pun intended stars

Since I'm a Devil fan with kids that went to DB.I'll play the Devils role in this scenario .Just think of the possibilities with Maryville's band being one of the top 6 in the united states.Two if's & three and's here.If it were up to Batman and If they had a time machine and Maryville folks really really wanted the best band in the state and didn't care about football ..I'd gladly go back a few years and trade DB's all world band director and football coach for Maryville's band director and all world football coach.Just think how much stress it would take off of stars,RR,RW,GR and the whole Maryville family .Not having the worry of playing football round after round of the playoffs each year.

Wish I could make it brother but have to work.Look forward to a great vid and hope the Devils can play with less mistakes next week and get off to a better start.Go Devils

My take early on was this .AC did bring some different looks on defense and our guys had some trouble picking everything up on time.I think that caused some of the holding and false starts.That little slant behind our linebacker was a killer and I didn't think the Devils would ever stop it.Very nice adjustment when they moved another in to pick it up.Seth was a game changer and if not for him,AC might have got 500 yards passing.Some of the hitting was down right super for both teams.The clashes with AC's linebackers and our RB was beautiful at times.Our QB keeper wasn't there many times until late for one reason.As blazer noted of the Devils and I have blasted thousands of times on DB threads,STRENGTH & CONDITIONING is a game changer that Greeneville does and few teams in NET have a clue about.A big reason Greeneville was playing and players from other local schools including DB were watching in the stands.Thank you coach Ballard and staff for giving my school something that my kids never had a chance at in Kingsport.

I'd hate to see the spread you give on that game,probably have Oakland a 200 point favorite.I think you guys are playing very well and also have some great talent and one of the best coaching staffs in the state.

somebody said you guys were up 42-3 at the half but I was taking their word .Like I wrote on your thread yesterday,I was more concerned for my Devils then the Rebs.Looks like I had good cause.Congrats to you guys as well and best of luck next week.I think you have a great shot

EVERY fan base has their bad fans.I've met bad ones at every game I've ever been to and that includes college and pro games.I love to sit on the visitors side at high school games and I've talked to great fans from every school just the same .Greeneville has a bunch of great fans and yes there are a few that could have a little more class just as every other team out there.Now on coacht there are just a few that represent for most schools and that doesn't tell the whole story by any means.Other words,no teams fans can cast a stone at any other school.

Can't remember what I was doing but got to the 86 game late,it was awesome .Last night because of what was on the line and two undefeated teams with AC out to such a fast start, MAN !

Just a great game and yes we all have great fans and we all have horses azzes.I yelled ''have some class'' More then once because of a couple in my area.AC is A great team and nobody needs to talk shet for either side after what those young men for AC and the Devils done last night.

No,not all Greeneville fans underestimated this AC team .This was a great game and that's what I expected.I think if the player of the year were based on this game alone it wouldn't be either QB.Man what frigging game ,four INT's

I'm sure several schools with reserved seating have seat numbers unless it's the general seating on the home or visitors side

....Yep,that's what the ref told me he said at the DB game and they gave him a 5 yard penalty.Could have got 15 ,maybe worse.You can get away with that at DB and still win but you can't be stupid against Mayville and give them anything.

Years ago I couldn't pick against the Vols nomatter what because there was always hope in my mind.This year I picked a crap 4-5 Missouri team to beat Tennessee without really thinking about it.I don't even want to say what I thought Bama would do to them . Thought Nick would keep it a little closer so Tennessee wouldn't fire jones,ha ha.Alabama could have picked their number this year

We are almost dead on with the score .I like your honest way of thinking.There are so many factors that can change a football game and either team could walk away with the win tonight.We all figure both offenses to move the ball but AC could bring a blitz package that the Devils have trouble adjusting to . Greeneville might make a little change on defense that gives AC fits.You can never factor turnovers ,penalties and mistakes enough and if either team doesn't take care of those things,it could be a blow out .I just hope all the young men go home safe when its over and may the best team win.Hope its the home team.
