I'd say everyone on the team will help a great deal this year and all of them need to know that having depth and pushing the front guys is just as important as many of the stars.The 2nd ,3rds and very youngest guys have to be ready because anyone who ever played the game knows how anyone can not be feeling well or have a little something wrong,plus you have to have that depth in tough games

As far as betting,who knows when it comes to high school kids.DB still has some great talent and could have had more.I was talking to a DB player the other day and telling him what I thought had happened the last couple years and had that all been handled much better from where they were as 9th graders until today,this DB team would be hail on wheels without a question but I still think they could have a vey fine year.Would have love to seen a GQ kind of coach with a top strength guy step in about 10 years ago for some of those DB teams like 2008 and 2012 as well as the last couple of DB classes.I'm in part to blame as is anyone who didn't demand a change to help DB athletics.As I told the player and a few dads,I have to roll with my Devils but wish these DB players the best after Greeneville.

Blazer,it's probably a little early.I started this one because the other DB thread was getting away from what the DB fans probably wanted or intended and if we were going to talk about this game,might as well have it's own thread and not look like trolls.

These kinds of things are only good for talk.A drunk monkey might as well do the polls..I seen my son on a team that was ranked number one at Dobyns Bennett and they got beat in the first round to a team that was just over .500 for the season.

You do a great job on those Greeneville vids.Really great quality and I know the players have to love them.

One of the Indians was over today .I told him the Devils never pass the ball and just run off tackle 99% of the time.Nah,didn't even talk about football at all.There are a lot of good kids on DB's team,fort Patrick henry dam shame they got a deal like they did for the last few years.When you see the Devils again,tell cousin hi and wish him all the best and hope they can get back to the big show .Speaking of good kids,he is a top notch young man.I'll always remember him going against my youngest on the matt and what class he had even in middle school

No question that the Devils can win.With their talent and more importantly their leadership,any game can be won this year.What I'm saying is DB has been a sleeping giant and at some point they will wake up and beat a lot of great teams.Forget what they should have done to accomplish that,the players are there and DB has some very good coaches on the staff.A couple of things suck and have held the DB program back but this is no team for any local program to look past.

I know a lot of these DB players because of my former Indian sons.Before anyone thinks this will be a game like taking on a small Greene county school,you had better know there is a lot of talent on DB's team and they have 3 times the students to pick from.With a few changes,I really think this could have been a top contender 6A team in the state .That said,Greeneville has some awesome players and one of the best coaches and staffs in the state.Should be a great game.

I don't know if the DB band will make the trip,I really do hope so for the Greeneville folks to enjoy at the half,no joke because they are great.Now,Just thinking about the visitors for this game if they do come .I wonder if some extra stands could be put "way" down behind the far end zone for the DB band.A 300 to 400 member band would stretch a long ways from close to one end zone to around mid field .That's a lot of seats but more importantly,that's a lot of sound when Greeneville has the ball .Just thinking of the visitors here mostly.

If we are going for the worst in history ,lets go on back to 1923.Unicoi co. beat Greeneville 64-0 on sep 29 in Greeneville.Then on oct 13 a couple weeks later,they beat Greeneville 120-0 up in Erwin.Either way,history is history,good or bad .

I'd say a few will tune in and skip their own teams game.I seen BVD's response on the other thread.This might get a little lively between now and game day

It will be nice for all those that can't go to able to see the game.The seating isn't anywhere near big enough to handle a game like South at DB back 10 or 11 years ago.A lot of people in the area will want to see this one too.

I understand what your saying blazer.Several things have changed in Greeneville to make them more competitive and several things have happened in Kingsport that could have been done differently I'm sure.I didn't like it at first but Greeneville is playing schools more of it's own size.Years ago they along with any others like Elizabethton had to try and go though much bigger schools to advance.That by the way will be a great yearly game.

I think Waco is to smart to let some of these people in Kingsport know who he is,I'm to crazy to care.A nutjob will probably get me in the back one of these days while I'm getting a BIG PAl down town or something.I hope to meet up again sometime,it would be nice the next time Greeneville and Maryville make it to the big show at the same time .Anyway,Happy fathers day to all the coacht Rebel dads !

Stars,I just hope the Rebs can be competitive this year and maybe win one or two.I have not been reading a lot but hope all the coacht guys down there are doing well.I found out quickly at the DB game last year that the Maryville fans know the game pretty darn good.I wish the young coach well there and hope he and the Maryville staff can keep the great tradition going.You guys are a class act and represent our state in the best of ways .

I say it's either teams game to win for several reasons , one being that this early in the season,some teams jel quicker then others.If it was solely based on numbers ,Id be very concerned.I've seen 140 kids out for a DB spring practice before and I doubt many schools in this area have ever seen that.Yep,you can only play 11 unless the refs don't catch you,but depth always worries me in these kinds of matchups.That's why I liked seeing the 2nds run the offense last year when I got a chance to see the Devils play during the regular season.

I'll just start it ..This game has a chance to be one of the biggest in NET in a while.

I love the weight room there,much better then the 70's and a staff that knows what they are doing.
