There is no doubt that if 14A sweeps 13A in the region quarterfinal games, Humboldt will want to host the region 7A Semifinals and Championship game.

Just left the game as well. Can't have weak officials in big games like that! Congrats to both teams because they battled. Stewart kid can play, but so can Kortland Martin!

I went to Memphis to watch some of the District 16A tournament games. W.E.B. Dubois and Grad Academy were both upset in the tourney quarterfinals on Wednesday night. I actually watched the W.E.B. Dubois and MAHS game. MAHS led the entire game and played with more poise. In all honesty, I don't believe that either W.E.B. Dubois or MAHS could beat Humboldt or Union City. I haven't seen Mitchell play this year, but they did beat Grad Academy by double digit points last week. Middleton is looking like a favorite to get to their regional championship game and qualify for a SubState game.

I believe it was a great decision to move the boys semifinal games and Consolation/Championship games for 14A. Greenfield was the host school and realized that their gym was too small to host it. In my opinion, this move will allow all fans to come and watch the district tournament.

Jarred Walker is the best point guard in the State!

Congrats to Coach Abernathy and the Humboldt Vikings on finishing a perfect 16-0 in District 14A!

With a win vs. Gibson Co. on Tuesday night, Humboldt will be the 14A regular season champs and the #1 seed in 14A District tourney, which will begin on Feb. 8th with the girls 8/9 play-in game. Go Vikings!

I agree with Jarred Walker being on the list. He is a true point guard on a championship level team, and a heck of a defender.

UC lost to Peabody at UC. Did Peabody play really well or did UC have an off night?

UC lost to Peabody tonight. Did they have all of their players or did Peabody play really well?

Humboldt vs South Fulton will be made up on Thursday, Jan 19. The Milan game will not be made up because it is a non district game.

Jan. 7th Humboldt at Milan girls and boys basketball games have been cancelled and will not be made up this season.

I beg to differ about UC and Halls being the top two teams in 14A. Humboldt is the team to beat in 14A this year. They are a much better shooting team and they can defend.

Stewart is not the only guard who has had trouble with Humboldt's guards. They have been doing that to everyone all season. Humboldt's guards held Cordova's gurads, Tyler Harris and Blake Williams, in check as well.

I don't know if the 2 senior guards at Humboldt (Kortland Martin and Jarred Walker) are Div I guards but they could sure play on the collegiate level. I don't think that they get enough credit for the things that they do. I have watched them both all season and those two guys can play!
