I heard there is a very good coach just waiting for a contact.

Meadows was never going to stay anywhere long enough to build a consistent program. Just look at his track record in places where he had success it was all short term or one and move on. it is a shame. Kids deserve a chance at success.

Talent level is not that bad. Just this coach happens to be terrible and is killing program !!

Last I checked the school board and county Commission hold the power over ALL the schools. Sweetwater has managed to keep their schools moving ahead in spite of the lack of County vision

If he did a good job then standards and expectations for a successful program sure have hit an all time low!!!!!!

Will the new principal have the nerve to do what needs to be done for this school and all of the sports programs? One big obstacle is heading out the door leaving a train wreck behind. The athletic director has always been terrible she should be replaced with someone that knows what they are doing? And lastly the coach has not read enough books on how to be a successful coach. The kids definitely deserve better.

I was thinking the same thing. At least one of those teams could get a win. Been more than 4 years for Sequoyah!! William Blount just getting started on their streak.

Well Sequoyah just put another winless season in the books. Who were the people on the committee that could justify the decision to hire the current coach ? is there any hope on the horizon for this school??

Polk county had enough sense to get coach Davis back after he left. maybe SEQ. might give that idea a thought. Bring back a successful coach.

If Tim Hammontree couldn’t get the boys at Heritage to play what makes you think he could have any success at SEQ.

Very short sighted leadership in Monroe county!! They refuse to do the right things like quality coaches and quality pay for coaches. Upgrade of facilities. Realize when they have talented coaches and quit playing the nepotism and good old boy hiring decisions

Is this school the worst program in the state? More than 40 losses in a row. Doesn’t look to get any better anytime soon.

The Greenback folks need to pack up the principal,the athletic director and last but not least the football coach. Surely there were much better qualified coaches to hire than this one. Unless you wanted to drive a nail in the coffin of GHS football!!

Coalfield can score as many as they want. probably running clock by third qtr. a really proud program in need of a coach!!

The hiring of this coach was a huge mistake! The principal and AD along with this coach should be replaced. A consistently great program at GHS is circling the drain. I hate it for the school and community and the many fans. They deserve better than this.

Evidently you never watched any practices while white was coaching. He left the program in a horrible shape. Need to go look at his W/L RECORD and then tell us what a great job he did. whoever they finally get would have to be so hard up for a job. Good coaches would not be applying for this job at this school.
