Keep in mind that the 2 girls games will be early on Monday. I think the Tennessee/South game will be about 3:30 with the Boone/SH game to be around 5:00. Boys semis to follow.

Totally classless by SG but that is to be expected. I guess it would be too much to ask the SG coach to have used the 4th quarter as a teaching moment about life and not basketball.

This list is generally not released until all teams are eliminated from the tournament.

The animal rights folks have already started in on this. A couple of years ago when the NCAA started going after the Indian names I saw a report from PETA wanting to get rid of the animal names. It did not get much press and maybe PETA dropped it for now because maybe they realized they would not get any support for such a crazy proposal.

Anything approaching 100 is pretty good. Daniel Boone's best 4 year run was 79-82 where they had 112 wins. Next best for them is 2001-04 and 2002-05 with both classes having 103 wins.

I had a game earlier in the year where both teams made it to the double bonus in the third quarter. Without going back and looking it up, that was a least 20 fouls.

This game was won by Science Hill. It was played back in December before all the tourneys. I think they played at Volunteer but no sure.

Back in the fall they have a open meeting that coaches and media are invited to and they have a random draw (local teams vs visiting teams) that sets the brackets. It is the luck of the draw as to your bracket and not some manufactured bracket to favor certain teams.

Day 3 Sounds like Daniel Boone came to play today. They lead Abbeville, AL 45-20 at the half. Too bad they didn't play like this in the other games. After 3 quarters, Boone leads 65-28. Daniel Boone ties school record for most points in a game beating Abbeville 83-37. The win is not that surprising to me but the margin is considering how both teams had played in the tournament.

Beech beat Boone 56-38 so Boone will play Abbeville at 9:00 Saturday morning and Cherokee will play Beech. What is the problem down there? They are not broadcasting the Boone game again this morning.

Day 2 In the girls semi-finals, GPS defeats Northridge, AL, 70-60 to advance to Saturday's Championship game.

Day 2 Daniel Boone and Beech played at 10:30 this morning but they did not stream the game. Does anyone have the score. Next game is semi-final where GPS takes on Northridge, AL.

Wilson Central defeats Abbeville 65-59 to move into the championship game on Saturday at 7:30.

Day 2 Campbell (GA) defeats Daniel Boone 61-36 in first game of the day.

Second girls game of day Mortimer Jordan (AL) defeats Abbeville (AL) 46-38

As Goo Goo said the rule changed last year. No free throws on any offensive foul. However, I think that a foul on a rebound would be considered a loose ball situation and free throws would be taken.
