This is a great point. Neither of my children will be able to say this to me. I am all of my kids stuff when I am able. Sometimes coaching, and work gets in the way but other than that I am my kids events. As far as the money goes.... Man I do not really know what to say. Credit card debt is at the highest level its ever been in the countries history. The national debt is 40 Trillion. What the heck is 50 bucks to go have an evening watching some high school football!?

I used to work in this industry, so I have some real info for you. Back then, our research showed that streaming events actually increased attendance. It sounds weird, but schools got more media coverage and people talked more about the big game. Also, more people watched the stream after the event than live. And those who were going to the game were going to go anyway. I don't have a favorite between the Tomcats and Chargers. They're both great teams with a lot of history. I just hope it's a good game without any injuries. Seriously, schools that don't allow live broadcasting are behind the times, just sharing my thoughts. @SpottedGoat

Gotcha. That rule must have changed somewhere down the line. I have streamed several games there. Sucks for everyone. Covington probably thinks that the stream is going to hurt their ticket sales. They would be wrong.

Is this game going to streamed anywhere? I sure hope so. There is zero chance I can make it to this game because of my work schedule but I would love to watch it live.

I am really glad to see this game scheduled. This rivalry is good for WTN football. My thoughts are that Covington is a clear favorite to win the contest. Not throwing shade at Haywood they just have just not played any top tier teams to this point to make think otherwise. I hope its a great game and everyone walks healthy for the playoffs! Good to see my old friends stacmot and chargerfan. I think we should get a little side bet going to see who win in a boxing match between the 2. We should make it 1 round for 1 minute and the loser has to wear the opposing teams shirt the following year!

I plan to be at the game when the Chargers roll into Charger country. Yes, I said that correct. I look for the Chargers to electrify the stadium in Martin.

I will be keeping an eye on this game. I would imagine that both teams have had this one circled on the calendar for a while. Honestly, I could make a compelling argument for both squads. If I were in town I would go watch this one in person!

Fair enough. We all have our own thoughts. This is what I love about forums and public comments. I have eaten crow many many times. If I have to eat crow on this one it will still taste bad but everyone knows who I am and I will do it... It should be a great game. I just think Comer has the mustangs number and coming off a lose they are going to be especially fired up for this contest. I predict a close game with the purple winning by 3.
