Yes. A shot clock is needed.

plus in the flow of a game how many high school possessions actually last longer than 35 seconds. I have watched a ton of hoops and would guess probably less than 20% of offensive possessions go past 35 seconds. So a shot clock really wouldn't change the flow of the game as much as you might think.

putting yourself aside and being coached is team sports regardless of level. I think the kids would enjoy the game more with a shot clock. it would be more exciting. Just think how exciting a last second shot at the end of the quarter or game is and think about that happening over and over in a game as the clock shot expires. That is just one example.

I feel you on strategy. Not a lot of strategy in holding the basketball though. You are right, if a team holds the ball then get after them on defense and they will have to play. I still like the idea of a shot clock. I think it would make the game more fun for all the kids.

I wouldn't consider a shot clock punishing kids that aren't going to play college hoops. I think it would actually make the game more fun for all the kids. I don't think there are many high school kids getting excited when their coach says hey guys we are going to hold the ball and not actually play the game.

No idea what happened at this game but a shot clock would be great. Gotta get the kids ready for the next level. I know many won't play college hoops but for the ones that will it is doing them an injustice not to have a shot clock.

Westview will handle Covington but I think the Haywood vs Dyersburg game will be a good one. I got Haywood at home.

SS has a chance to beat Mitchell at Hawk's Nest. South Gibson will more than likely get run but Coach Wilkins will have his kids ready. Good luck to both

Yes. 29-2 with wins over lots of high level schools. Chicago Whitney Young being the most well known. They will more than likely win 2AA State tournament

Has to be a 20% decrease in the enrollment before the TSSAA will reclassify them prior to the 4 year period when they take a look at all schools.

SS has been there every year almost so experience is on their side. However, SG looked great against Crockett. Both teams are playing their best ball right now. I have SS winning.

I counted These two teams out about 3 weeks ago. what a turn around. Coach Wilkins and Coach Fuller have both done a great job this year. congratulations to both and good luck to both. The winner will probably get Mitchell and have a chance. The runner-up will probably have Hamilton and that will be a tough one.

My prediction were awful. LOL 13AA advances 3 of their 4 teams to the semi-finals. Good luck to all of them. Southside vs Dyersburg -- I have SS in this one South Gibson vs Crockett - I think Crockett wins this one.

Crockett County host Lexington - Lexington in the upset by 7 Southside host Milan - Southside by 25 Dyersburg host Northside - Northside by 5 McNairy host South Gibson - McNairy by 15 This is going to be a 14 AA sweep. With the exception of Lexington the other 3 teams are more athletic and honestly I think they are just better than the 4 13AA teams. The records don't show it and I may very well be wrong. I have been wrong a Lot this year. This just matched up right for 14 AA. Crockett may be the only team Lexington can match up with and it happened. McNairy is over the top more athletic than South Gibson. Southside and Milan is obvious. Northside and Dyersburg will be the best game.

Southside always seems to find a way to play for championships. It is a winning culture. Congrats to the Hawks

no doubt. and with a pretty good shot at a sub state game. Gonna be in a brackett with SS, South Gibson, and Milan in the Region Tournament. They can actually win the region and host a sub state game in my opinion. Not sure they will but they have as good a chance as anyone else. He has done a Fantastic job.
