Corbin/AC game was cancelled. Replaced by Betsy. ACs AD sent a tweet out yesterday.

They made playoffs in 5a from 2009 to 2014. up to the 3rd round a couple times and out of round 1 a couple of times. By no means were they dominate or going to win a state title but to say they had little success isnt accurate. they were competitive in 5a.

Imagine if they had chose to play up. Region: Alcoa, Fulton, Gibbs, Seymour, AC, South Doyle, Carter, Scott High Playoffs you play Elizabethton and Greeneville. that's much better competition for Alcoa. I still see Alcoa winning those games.

If you all check the TSSAA website they've already released who is playing up.

I'd think it would be a great region also. Alcoa still wins that region but the in-season competition would be better for them.

Yeah, I know of a couple of East TN high schools are allowing virtual online learning with A LOT of athletes online so they don't get contact traced.

Scott high is 4a also. It'd be a 7 team region

If you care about keeping them even then you should just force teams to play in their classification.

The Thursday night rivalry games can push 3 hrs sometimes. Because of the 2 minute timeouts and depending on how flag happy the refs can be. Overall still much shorter than the average college football game.

I don't think EH lineman are good on either side of the ball. I think they try and sling it up for 4 quarters. I take AC by 3 Touchdowns.

Alabama has instant replay, but you can only challenge plays like did he cross the goal line, did the player step out of bounds etc... you can't challenge penalties except penalties involving excess players, forward pass, and ejection type penalties.

Do you think they choose to play up? If they do that's a lot of 5a schools in a small area.

On the 5a-6a board someone ran the numbers. Basically you are splitting around 49 to 50 each classification. Taking out the ones that don't play football or the privates. You would have 5a cut off being right at AC with 1114. So, Portland, Springfield, and AC would all be making the jump to 5a.

AC plays East Hamilton on the 23rd. That should establish the winner of Region 2-4a and flesh out the 4a standings going into week 10.

They also ran wildcat with the Brock kid. It's a nice change-up to have the wildcat package.

I think D-B looks great this year from what I've seen. I think that it is very probably that they could potentially end up 9-1 going into the playoffs. I just don't feel like they can beat Alcoa.

Heritage is better like Mountaineer said. However, I still think WillieB wins this one by a minimum of 2 scores.

AC has nothing to be ashamed off. Powell has some great WR and a great QB. ACs OL was stout and Powell was not able to run at all on the interior of ACs defense.
