It must suck to be you. Trash talk a coach that routinely bought players cleats, gave some money to eat on and drove 2 all the way to Kansas for a visit. Also his offense went to the playoffs 4 straight years. Coach Daniels offense got shut out by Sycamore and his defense got hammered by East Hickman. He put the Nose back to return kicks and a lineman at QB. Terrible coach and a very petty human being. The entire team and parents are glad he's gone. Looking forward to seeing how much better the team will be. Wes Proctor, great guy and coach, probably won't be coaching this year. I believe he's expecting another baby. Coach Hobbs will be! The players that make it through the summer with Halstead will be ready for football season!

If you didn't like West you won't like Halstead. That's who taught West a lot about coaching.

Are you talking about the parents he sat with every game in the stands or the players that ran over to hug him after every game? There's no need to make things up. The program has enough issues as it is

Haven't heard about whether or not he'll stay at the school. He's not a teacher so there's no telling what they'll do with him.

Broadway is a good coach but doesn't want to come back. They've already said Coach Daniel isn't coming back for obvious reasons. West was asked to come back but he isn't. Tough job for whoever takes it.

Coaching a "successful" season at Cheatham is not impossible. Coach Finley pushed through hard times and had good seasons... Hatley took less than 30 kids to the playoffs. It just takes hard work from all of the coaches and good support from the parents. They went from 0-10 to hosting a playoff game in 3 years. They have good tough kids. Now they need a good tough coach.

You had a son on the 2012 team and the 2019 team? I'd say most Fairview fans would agree that the 2012 team couldn't beat any team they've had since. Especially on the defensive side. Then add a few studs running the ball. Hard to beat. A few years ago they almost beat Fairview but the special teams were terrible that game. Killed us. The 2012 Cheatham team was obviously good. Physically beat people up on the line. Until this year Cheatham hasn't had a line that big or strong. Also the region now plays much better competition in the playoffs. None of that should matter since Coach Daniel said he's the first coach to come through Cheatham County that taught proper technique and prepared kids for college the right way. What number was your kid?

People said that 5 years ago and Eric Hatley walked in and took Cheatham to 4 straight playoff runs. Including a home playoff game. Under Hatley more players got offers to college than the previous 5 coaches combined. Also led 3A in rushing two years in a row. It'll take a coach that's willing to put in a lot of work. Having two small schools 10 min apart hurts numbers. They need to combine Cheatham and sycamore. You'll see 80+ players on the same sideline.

Halstead is no longer coaching. Been talking about it for a while.

If Coach Carter applied he should get it. Good guy that the kids actually respect. But he seems to be pretty busy at Cheatham Middle.

Not looking too deep. Just calling it like I see it. I personally want Tony and Twin to go get a ring. I wanted Tony to choke the ref when he tried to call timeout before halftime. That shouldn't happen. Especially a game that important

So if yall pick your team to win that's fine. When other people pick your opponent they're "sack riders"? Could be that Alcoa is just the best 3A team in the state. FACTS!!!
