so why are we leaving out Riverdale running back Savion, who has been consistent, But he had talent around him Rooks consistence but Oakland had some soft games as well, and when you run the wing-T you suppose to get yard because you got everybody blocking or hole team pulling not good for college recruitment, But Wilhoite did what he did with a one dimensional team, he carried the offense on his back in one of the toughest region, and he still got over a 100 yd a game. he only play 2 quaters against Blackman and had 48 by a half. before being injured. he played none against Warren Co. but yet still a top leader in rushing 6A, he did a lot of work for, only true talent on that offense. Raines soft schedule plus had good people around him And HOP from Maryville, good but not dominate So Teague unfortunately he's hurt, would have won no doubt. But before we just go on these kids pure skills and who did what, there is a catch to wining MR. Football the kids must meet all other achievements such as academics qualifications ,and more It dose not matter who we think may win MR Football if they don't meet all the criteria's you can run for 3000 yds it want matter, or make a 100 tackle, or 50 interceptions.

Great win Cookeville...but still be careful,,a 2-8 Siegel shut Cookeville out last year...the stars start fast. They just don't finish .stars are playing spoilers mode. If Cookeville loose to Oakland and Blackman best riverdale and Cookeville loose to Siegel.. Now guess who's in the playoff Siegel and no one would have saw this strategy coming So to the expert post all playoffs strategies If If Blackman lose to riverdale and Siegel beats Cookeville, I'm assuming Blackman is eliminated. Dam Master Teague ,,,, we are missing you. Can you play injured..please .

Not to take away Maryville accomplishment , But I would have love to see them venture out and play more tougher teams back then, go play the Hoovers and tough school like some of the school did in the Boro, prove your worth early in the season

when you talk about bands and their football team ,,lets be thoughtful most high school bands don't travel that far with their football teams. because its not economical beneficial, because you got to feed them and possible provide lodging and chartering services, so you are trying to accommodate as many as 200 to 300 kids. So you will need guarantee gate money for those expensive up front.. and most metro Nashville fan base does not travel well with their team. I have seen sad attendance at metro Nashville schools far as fan support. when you see school like PC, Maplewood bands playing at the classic. it was because of fund raising to get there. Even the more wealthier schools don't travel with their band because of the distance, Its going to take great marketing , community support, and donors with pockets. or you can bring the football teams and let the local football teams who are traveling with out their band provide the band entertainment for the visiting team. I saw this being done in Alabama high school classic, the football team didn't match the band that was performing on there side , this can create savings

great concept, But since its Jackson ST, MS and TENN ST,TN weekend , why not just let the best high schools of Tenn play the best High Schools in MISS. since there will be a ton of people from both states attending, the marketing is already there, now it enhances ,,,,Just call it (Southern Heritage Border Wars) Now we can spread multiple teams from TN and Ms throughout Memphis at multiple venues. or the liberty bowl.

So basically what you are saying is..if Stewart creek was playing in Siegel region they would not be going to the playoff either because they would have gotten blown out by Siegel. Who's had to play a lot tougher schedule than Stewart creek .....credit for playing Cane-ridge and Brentwood...but at the end of the day Oakland, Blackman possible riverdale are going to beat those schools....riverdale have lost several players and still winning.

Oakland definitely Unfortunately I'll be at Riverdale . I hear this coaching staff live and die by wilhoite, less than perfect quarterback, and onside kick is their bread and butter.

I've said this forever,,,Cookeville do not fair well when they come into Boro play.they never have..they are going to lose at least 3, by time they get to there last game who which is Siegel .hopeful they will be bang up. Siegel coaching staff need to use it to their advantage ..this should be a perfect ending to both teams season as they will both be fighting for a playoff birth last reg. Season game...home field is Siegel. Blackman will prevail

Really a battle.... I've seen them play a few times as in all the Boro school... but from what I hear from the parents and students, that Siegel coaches are horrible. They are one dimension,,one good kid on offense they depend on, and one good kid on defense they depend on. Those are the only two players they want play. Great looking team,,, kreisey probably can take these same (Siegel) kids and win, a lot of coaches would love to have had this team great size....but no winning attitude from the coaching staff.. Oakland by halftime.........

Just let it play out. One thing we all know for sure somebody got to win somebody got to lose. And of course there will be some unusual upsets doing playoff by an underdog somewhere Someone you may have thought would get in may not get in vs some One who was overlooked Half the teams in the championship every year may have one or two loses or more its going to happen look at the history Then it's still early a key player Will be injured somewhere causing things to flip,,this happen to Bradley central last year. Or a major upset will cause someone to go to title game that wasn't suppose to..

I don't think Franklin 1-5 is Better than Siegel who Oakland has still left also..but apparently the opinion is that Franklin and Cookeville are the two best left....cookville hasn't got into Boro played yet..this will start there there true test.. they only best riverdale last year got shut out by Siegel,,lost soundly to Blackman,,and blown away by Oakland

I don't believe Oakland has no team to worry about. Except Franklin high,,they have the best team and record out of the final teams left for Oakland.

Dam pioneer12 I thought you said this would be close....am I reading the paper right......i don't know why you though this would be close, next time take in consider Warren county hadn't played close with this school periods..last I checked Warren co has been out scored by this Boro school 130-50 not close.

Yes my time at riverdale we played great ball ,, and won.we had it to ourself,,but to see Oakland, Blackman and Siegel step in,,, gave the city a whole new vibe because the football didn't fall off it got better ..plus these guys are bringing in national recruiters..we didn't have that as good as we were.....i can brag everywhere I travel..because somebody know us..if they. This school has certainly rose to the occasion are they the best school in Memphis right now or is it a fad, they have fared well against the big boys.and have a lot of size and debt. Some of Their 2019 talent pool is underrated. They will line up and whip you..ive seen them perform occasionally. And will catch a game next week..

True ......thats why I like this site I like to feed on the agreement or disagreement,,because I love the passion that people have on here for there team or any team...hey you don't know how much I love Blackman,,, it's just I got a cuz playing at riverdale, got a nephew at Oakland, and a cuz at seigal so I guess im a little byest, but I normally try to attend 2 games in one night, especially if a team is getting whipped...
