  1. Not sure, Meigs has been lately when we've had a home game, but this is an away game for us. Maybe @RichyRich or @logcabinman know. McMinn Central may be apart of the NFHS network. If so you could watch it there.
  2. Could have gone either way. Looks like you all have came a long way since then. The Sweetwater score baffles me from your team lol.
  3. Community High School (Unionville, TN) Giles Co. High School (Pulaski, TN) Grundy Co. High School (Coalmont, TN) Sequatchie Co. High School (Dunlap, TN) Watertown High School (Watertown, TN Pretty sure Giles normally wins out between ours and their region.
  4. You think if the parents filled out the starting roster they would take blame for a loss when it happened? Asking for a friend.
  5. Should be a good test for Oneida. Win this one and some noise will be made in the playoffs. Good luck Spike and Crow.
  6. This is currently where everyone stands in our region. Tyner has the edge on region wins currently. The top 3 on this list are likely to be 1, 2 and 3 seed in no particular order. Some good football to be played still in region games. Tyner Academy Current Streak: 3 W 3-3 3-0 Meigs County Current Streak: 5 W 5-0 2-0 McMinn Central Current Streak: 4 W 4-1 2-0 Brainerd Current Streak: 3 L 1-4 0-2 Chattanooga Central Current Streak: 1 L 1-5 0-2 Sweetwater Current Streak: 3 L 2-4 0-3 Tyner has wins over Brainerd, Sweetwater, and Chattanooga Central. Meigs and McMinn Central left to play Meigs has wins over Sweetwater, and Chattanooga Central. McMinn Central, Tyner, and Brainerd left to play. McMinn Central has wins over Sweetwater and Brainerd. Meigs, Tyner, and Chattanooga Central left to play. Just some.more to talk about.
  7. So far being down at Meigs has just meant we were young. Last years team mostly consists of the Seniors we are playing this year. Next year? Who knows. Hopefully we can continue the trend.
  8. 5-0 Meigs County visits 4-1 McMinn Central Friday September 29th. Meigs handled the Chatanooga Central team with a respectable score of 34-6. McMinn Central had a bye, but are coming off of a thrashing of the Wildcats of Sweetwater 44-10. A team Meigs only beat 21-14 This Meigs team is a similar team in ability to the 2021 team. I'd say stronger offensively but maybe just a tad weaker defensively. We are playing our best football right now of the season. Our new coach so far has proven to be of equal caliber to Fitzgerald as a coach and better in some aspects especially his ability to adapt his team to what his opponent is doing during the game. Many of you Central fans may not know of Ethan Meadows, but he is likely of equal caliber to your Masengale player. We will see who deserves the hype after this game is over. What have you gentleman? Predictions? Breakdowns? I'm all ears.
  9. Pretty sure this Meigs team is going to surprise some folks this year.
  10. Good luck folks. Would be a good game to watch.
  11. No, but it does account for a lopsided score. I'm not laying any blame. All I'm saying is that it's easy to get blown out when you have 4 turnovers.
  12. My statement was meant to tell why the score was lopsided, not getting into the coach son thing. I'm staying away from that.
  13. The stats tell the tale of what happened. 3 interceptions and 2 fumbles with one lost. That there is 28 points if they scored off of the turnovers. Hard to recover from that.
  14. Before Central beat Sweetwater the way they did, I would have thought Meigs would have won by a couple scores. Considering the Sweetwater game now It will probably be a close game.
  15. Pretty sure you are Meigs biggest rivalry game. This year more so, considering our game looks like it could be for the 1 seed in the region. That said, I'm sure both teams will come to play and it should be a dandy.
  16. We most likely won't take them lightly, I'd hope the kids realize that any given n opposing team can have your number. Hopefully we will come out injury free.
  17. https://masseyratings.com/hsf2023/30335 It's a computer system that uses an algorithm to simulate high school and other sports scores. It takes Into affect schedule, and scores from all teams played, and simulates games. On our end since we beat Stone, our ranking in the system will increase alot since we were supposed to lose. About 5 games in, it's pretty accurate. When you click the link, click on your team on the Meigs page, it will show you your teams likelihood of winning and losing every game and score prediction. Your team was not supposed to beat Sweetwater either. It updates Mondays for Fridays game most of the time. Sometimes even on Sundays. Hope thats what you wanted to know. It's just s fun little program I kill time with sometime.
  18. Thanks O&B, this group was talented last year, but just too young as a whole to compete with a good team loaded with seniors. That one should have been the hardest game on our schedule u til playoffs. Our game with McMinn Central should be a crazy good game as well. Glad your boys got the win. Also great your offense is finding their Identity. Fun watching your team when you know they can compete. Hope you all have a good rest of the year... BTW.. did you see that Hixson beat Loudon?
  19. Meigs wins, 33-25. Meigs goes to 4-0 on the year. Meigs scored 19 unanswered. Great game Tigers.
  20. Meigs intercept stone. Probably the game. Massey had us losing by 21 points.
