  1. Do a little more research on the situation there and see if you still think that. It’s the rock bottom worse situation in Clarksville.
  2. That is still pretty unbelievable, one game, sure. That’s an amazing game. A couple times a season, that is some pretty generous stat keeping. Being near the pile does not equal a tackle.
  3. Doubt there is a huge pool of applicants for this job. Only someone desperate to be a head coach is going to touch this.
  4. Brother, you can’t say you know football then say stuff like your lbs are getting 20 tackles a game. That is just silly sir. Coach Wilson would get laughed at if he tried to turn in stats like that. 12 tackles a game would put you in the running for All State easily. 20 tackles a game and your an All American, there are no All Americans on your defense. Unless a parent is doing the tackles.......Also yes your defense has improved but it is by no means your strength. Wish I could go to this game, it’s going to be amazing.
  5. This team beat the team you barely beat last week Springfield, you might want to pump the brakes. You guys aren’t really amazing at stopping running qb’s, remember Ford Cooper from CHS? Trust me this #14 is way faster than Cooper. Neither team will beat the other by 3 td’s that I will guarantee. This may come down to turnovers and special teams because you are pretty evenly matched.
  6. No inside information but it’s posted on CMCSS website
  7. Those were not my words, they were the wise words of the two security guards assigned to guard the parking lot. In my experience, rough areas are usually the ones that need parking lot guards. That being said, the ppl at NS are great. They treated the players, coaches and fans better than most places!
  8. The passing game would be removed on a sloppy field because of the footing. WR’s will have trouble cutting, balls will be slippery from hitting the turf, and qb’s will struggle keeping their footing. Springfield loves to run the quick slants, that will be hard to do on a muddy field. Don’t agree that Springfield has better D-Line, those two 300 pounders for NS are pretty effective. They make teams run up the middle because it’s hard to get outside with their speed, will even be tough for 23. I will say Springfield is playing their best fb at the best time of the year which is a sign of great coaching so def give them the advantage there. Now what if I told you that every one of those jet sweep qb reads is an RPO. Prob be hard for you to grasp that because you don’t see the PO portion very often but a dead give away is when the TE scrapes the DE then goes to the flats or down the seam. But since you know more than me, a simple football enthusiast, you prob already knew that ......
  9. Sorry for late response. As for red man or whatever his name was, my panties stay in a wad. Staying salty and ready to re-educate ppl like you is a lifestyle, not a choice. You wanted to “correct” something I posted, and you were wrong, so yeah I consider that “smart butt.” Anyway, back to how two teams stack up. JNS has more speed and their pass defense seemed disciplined and well coached. I will agree with my guy redman who says counters and reverses eat them up. They flow to ball so hard they overrun stuff. They have two 300 pounders sitting in middle to stop the run but they get exhausted quick on sustained drives. If Springfield is going to beat JNS #8 and 32 will have to have a big night running up the middle. JNS is going to score though, you won’t keep them off the board. Their running qb is too good, too shifty. If I had to predict a score I would say Springfield in OT. That’s how closely matched I think these two are. No offense to JNS but the field resembles a metro field. Grass had not been cut or taken care of, lines were crooked, they should move the game if possible. If not it will be a shame because passing game will be largely removed.
  10. Ppl do say that a lot but they DID run RPO’s against MC. Maybe you don’t know what you are looking at but I can promise you I do. I’m wasting my time though I can tell a know it all from a mile away.
  11. Yes, he is primary running threat. They also run a ton of RPO’s. QB likes to “read” the jet sweep but he keeps it 95% of time. They struggled stopping out big fullback although in fairness everyone has, including Springfield. It should be awesome game.
  12. NorthSide is fast! Team speed is faster than Springfield. They found a mismatch and exploited it in first half with two long pass plays until MC adjusted. They have the athletes to not be terrified of 23 and their qb 14 is as shifty a runner as we have seen all yr. If Springfield can watch the film and see the adjustments that Central made defensively the second half this will be a dog fight. I could see this game being an absolute shootout. One more thing, while NS is in a rough area, the ppl could not have been nicer. The PA announcer does sound like a DJ during the game though which is pretty hilarious. Don’t expect any help from officials Yellow Jackets, they threw maybe 5 flags the whole game. Good luck to both teams!
  13. Well, what makes MC so good at running the option is they BLOCK the other 10 players. It’s a crazy approach but it’s worked out so far. They are 10-1 with two 1,000 yard backs. If stopping the triple option was as easy as you seem to think it is, Navy and Georgia Tech wouldn’t lead the country in rushing every year. Also since you don’t think college fb is relevant Union City won the state championship running the same two plays and not attempting one single pass.
  14. The end is the option man, no one even blocks him. If he goes straight to qb he will give to fb, if he stays outside they pitch. Your obviously not very educated on option fb, we can keep proving that theory if you want to though. Also Oklahoma’s defense is not great but they have WAY more speed than Army which is what you said stops the option, although now you have decided it’s DE’s (maybe) hard to tell cause your writing kind of sucks
  15. Is that why Oklahoma blew Army out this year? Cause of all the speed? Oh wait that game went into overtime. Option is actually used to negate speed, put great athletes into situations where they have to think instead of react. So.....
  16. I saw the game too and what I saw was an elite athlete that went through double and triple teams to refuse to let his team lose. Sometimes I think even Springfield fans don't know how lucky they are to have 23. Noone has given MC problems like that kid did, not Portlands QB, not Kenwoods RB, not Sycamores RB who had a crazy amount of yards this year. None of them are close to 23. He is legit, south side will find out tomorrow.
  17. Your probably expecting me to come in hard on that but I am going to throw a curveball and let it go. MC also fumbled three times in that game which made a huge impact on game since they only punted twice the whole game. Trust me, that game was one for the ages.
  18. A rematch of the MC/Springfield game would be epic. That is in the running for the game of the year. Northside is tough with size and speed but one thing Central will do is play physical. They have two linebackers that are as good as anyone in the state and a DE that is almost unblockable. Also think they are averaging like 30 pts a game. This is a fun team to watch play and they will bring all of Cunningham with them to Jackson. You can count on that. Hope the Cinderella story keeps going.
  19. Then I would have said, want to make 12 dollars the hard way?
  20. No appreciation for the Caddyshack reference. Kind of makes me wonder what kind of monsters I am sharing the internet with
  21. Do they though? Been a rough go of things for the Falcons lately but they do have a shiny new school so they got that going for them which is nice.
