  1. I remember watching you. You weren’t very good, but you really tired hard. That’s the kind of grit these boys need.
  2. You guys just don’t get it. I have watched these teams for a long time. I never played, but I have watched this team and really believe they are in the highest of class when it comes to Tennessee football. When it come to Springfield transfers we have never needed or used them? Name one play who has been a great contributor who lived even near Springfield. You can’t. We can find a running back any day, but finding an O line that is what set other teams apart. The great teams at White House had an O line. Like I said the other teams besides the dates mentioned have been scrubs.
  3. Ok, we know there are a lot of great teams in the state of Tennessee. We also know White House has one of the best if not the best history in the state. When are we going to bring the outstanding seasons of 1997, 2004, and 2008 together? We have had a crapshoot of teams besides these few. We should be celebrating the 97 team for the state championship and the other two teams for their greatness. When will White House learn?
  4. There is a video of a fight at the end of the game. Anyone know what happened?
  5. You just reiterated my point. You mentioned teams that had maybe one good player. Move those players to the 97,04,08 squad and they are just one of the guys. You have to have a good team to fill the stands.
  6. Of theose teams had athletes littered all over the field and White House hasn’t see that since then. Players need to learn it takes years to build a great team with players who have all grown together and competed at a high level. These guys since the 2008 squad just aren’t what White House is about.
  7. When you win games and play well the stands won’t be the issue. 2004 and 2008 never had an issue with fans.
  8. What happened after the game Friday night?
  9. When referring to sacrifice I am speaking of the body. For the coaches this is their job and although they don’t get paid much, it is their job and the one they signed up for. For the athletes who put their body’s on the line for maybe a scholarship to the esteemed university of TSU. I am simply trying to focus on the student atheletes. Porter deserves all of the respect in the world. He’s a great delegator.
  10. Specified it in the first post. I’m not sure why this is difficult.
  11. I agree he should be in a hall of fame for coaches, but this thread is about the players. They are the ones making the sacrifice out there week in week out. That’s who we want to concentrate on.
  12. Here’s my first ballet based on stats and best record 1. John Finch/TroxGreenwade/Kyle Levering QB 2. Ricky Ladd/Phillip Harris/ Shane Dorris/ Demarquis Payne RB 3. Cody Harmon/ Trent Mcewen/ Matt Parker WR 4. Rogers Gaines/ Cory&Cody Sullins OL 5. Adam Wiss/ Josh Loloup LB/DE 6. Demarquis Payne/ Matt Parker/ Chad Broadrick DB
  13. Who are your suggestions for players that should be inducted in to the White House football hall of fame?
  14. I’m gonna say Ricky Ladd John Finch Matt Parker(top ten in stats in almost every category he played in.)
  15. Let’s get the discussion back on track. The best player in history of White House. Come on White House fans.
  16. If I remember correctly Matt Parker broke his foot his sophomore year the second play of the game. He played the rest of the game and went on to receive player of the game with a big interception late. The team was playing Notre Dame in the playoffs. He had surgery a week or so later to fix the foot he broke. There are a lot of great stories like this through White House Football history.
  17. I look at the teams that go deep in the playoffs. Teams with Ricky Ladd, Kyle Levering Sullins, Trox Greenwade, Paynes, Neal and Parker. I know a lot of the Greenwades numbers could have been doubled, but most of the games his junior year were over at halftime. The one game that went to the wire in passing was Dekalb County before the playoffs in 2008. Greenwade ended up with over 300 passing and Parker with almost 200 receiving. Ricky Ladd and Levering were a similar duo when they had to play the whole game. Trent had great numbers, but the best teams have always had the best players. Most of the time the stats don’t show it due to the game being over at halftime. Also, shouldn’t we look at a player who is in most of the statistical categories? Who made an impact one special teams, defense, and offense etc..
  18. The only issue with Trent is there was no one else on those teams. They had to throw him the ball. Players like Cody Harmon or Chad Neal would have had even better numbers in on the same teams.
