  1. Hope GP fans make it back safe. Tough loss for horns and seniors. On to basketball and weight room.
  2. Landers backs carry a load so get ready midway. tough boys earned Longhorns respect. Pullin for the landers.
  3. Hope all G-P fans drive safe both ways...but the way home isnt happy drive
  4. Hey BC we are open minded up here in the mountains
  5. Good one about alcoa AD. Call IMG from Florida they'll play anyone.
  6. Blount County where men are men and sheep are scared
  7. Sevierville paper said there were questions of GP's "commitment and heart" after L to kingston. What's that all about?
  8. Pulling for the devils. Hope Lewis can get loose around the corners. Jc bottled him up good but he has great speed and take it to the house any play
  9. Well JC would love to have another crack at AE after tough L last year in mtn city. Welcome GP to real mountain football. tough kids ready to lay the smack down but we know GP knows how to play too
  10. I would have said North Greene. Seems like this could be a thread "worst fields in TN". Mcewan is a shame. it is great stadium...terrible field late in the season.
  11. Horn who has #1 and #2 worst? Mtn city field rejects bluegrass and fescue like a bad kidney transplant.
  12. Common opponent is good analysis - JC lost to Hampton but don't know the details of that game. Was early...maybe JC was still figuring things out with this years team?
  13. Most of GP's games on artificial turf late in season? Horns been in the mud at cloudland and bermuda grass at unicoi. Lets see how GP deals with mtn city field.
  14. Mtn city fired up after back to back big road wins at cloudland and unicoi. Anyone have any injury status? Heard coach kerley say they had some injuries in Erwin last friday.
  15. Its funny. People (many Tennesseans from East grand division and particularly Northeast) forget their history. Specifically, Johnson County was very anti-secession. Like 90% of the county voted against leaving the union during the civil war. Many Johnson countians are descendants of independent pioneers and mountain men. Col Butler (he built beautiful Butler Mansion in town) was commander of a UNION tennessee force. Its very sad to me that race came up. There are also prominent African-American families in mtn city, and several boys from the familes played on good teams in late 1970s and early 80s. sorry for the rant. Sick of my country and state being divided.
  16. Tough loss for the Horns...but was a great season. AE had a couple big plays and one huge fumble recovery. Good luck AE against Alcoa...."you're gonna need it"
  17. McEwen stadium is a little different environment than Hampton. The natural bowl makes it loud and every longhorn fan from every holler will be there and be loud.
  18. Should be nice and cold up in the mountains Friday Night. Go Horns.
