Relax.   Of course ER played well.  But Smith stayed home.  No other explanation for the wildly different results in 2 games played.

Not really. East was just that dominate. They gave the first game to SC with penalties and turnovers. This game they were the much superior team in ALL phases of the game.

I went to BG three times this week.  It's a NIGHTMARE

The actual quickest way from Paris to Portland is coming through exit 4 on 79 into an area you’re familiar with in Todd county then cut in across northern Robertson county via hwy 25 and hwy 52 right into Portland most direct route with ZERO traffic.

What they’re doing is selling their houses back home for nearly a million dollars and coming here and buying homes 2x as big for half the price.

Nashville is still a great city, but it’s becoming unrecognizable, and long timers are being priced out.

I use to work down town everyday 10-12 years ago now I only go every now and again. Use to be some long standing businesses south of broadway between 2nd and 12th…..now it’s all overpriced high rise apartments or condos. You can’t even find a patch of grass that somebody’s dog hasn’t crapped on anymore.

Thanks. I would say teams that have limited regular season success should lighten up on the out of region games. Perhaps build some confidence, build some winning tradition/school spirit, get more kids out, and THEN look at scheduling tougher opponents. No sense in scheduling opponents that you know are going to beat you down, just to say you play a tough schedule.

I agree 100%. Being a Springfield fan, I do wish they would drop the Wilson Central/Rossview game and add one of the Nashville privates back on like MBA, Father Ryan, JPII etc. They would be great opponents and still bring a fairly good gate.

Northeast has some athletes that can play at any school.  It was a shame to watch them vs the Jackets.  We were so much more disciplined

NE #22 always impresses me with his play. watched him play last year as a sophomore at their place and sat next to some of his family in the grass seemed like nice folks. It’s a shame with his ability and NE size across the field they aren’t any better. With halfway better blocking #22 could be all state at RB

This will be the 5th time the Jackets have faced NE while Dustin has been HC. Took it under the chin first two seasons but looking for 3 in a row in the win column tonight against the Eagles.

    12 Lost 48-13
    13 Lost 57-20
    14 Won 34-15
    21 Won 34-22

That 12’ northeast team was stacked with Jalen Reeves-Maybin leading the way.

  7. Springfield has a lot to clean up from game one on offense imho. Two things come to mind. First the run game between the tackles has to be better, we can’t rely on the outside runs and the qb to take the load on the ground. O-line has to be better at opening holes. Secondly the short/quick pass has to be more crisp, we can’t depend on the big plays on that end when you’re playing formidable competition. Greenbrier got out atheleted on the back end. That won’t be the case going forward in these big games. On a positive note the defense looked like it picked up where it left off last year and may be a little better and was really glad to see depth all over on that side of the ball. I know it’s game one and hopefully we’ll only get better with time. All that being said; Jackets roll on in week 2 against Clarksvegas.

  8. I’m just really glad to see ER has finally got a good coach. The talent has always been there to be competitive, just didn’t have anyone to put it together until now. I’m going with East in this one. Won’t be an easy game but the players and coaches will put 4 qts together and get it done.

No disrespect but he is looking at winning a gold ball, I have no idea what the kid did but if it warrants him not playing, it shouldnt matter whether they win a gold ball or not, otherwise what lesson is learned...

Na bro…..he ain’t looking at winning a gold ball…..he just got the brakes beat off him. Not. Even. Close. Que the crickets from the Peabody faithful.
