  1. Looks like it could be a wet game tonight half way thru.......
  2. I’ll agree with you on society wanting everyone to feel like “winners”. I’ll agree to dis-agree with you in putting public and privates in the same classification.
  3. Yeah trolls and devilman make the T go round
  4. Yeah terrible luck. Maybe Fullback dive up the gut until some RBs get back
  5. Yeah, I’m thinking FG was a troll account or he has tucked his tail and ran after last Friday’s game. I’m leaning more towards a troll tho...
  6. The private schools that give financial aid to players will NEVER be back with the public schools. The TSSAA fought a lengthy court battle with a very prominent power house private school a while back over this issue. Bad taste in mouthes all around, it’ll never be the way it was.
  7. Well I did say playoff games too, the play-off games is mainly my thinking. If they cut out a couple of classes, one from public and one from private, that’s a lot of gate money in play-offs and two less championship games. Yes you are right the championship games are at best 40% filled, but you pay one gate for the day any how. I’m sure TSSAA pays Tech something, but probably next to nothing. The host cities submitt bids to host the championship games every few years, so I’m sure they get a great deal on the stadium use.
  8. 21-10 Springfield. I hope for a good injury free game on both sides.
  9. I don’t see it changing from it's current configuration, being number of classes public and private, for one reason in my mind. Money. I can’t see them cutting out any classes that would eliminate any source of revenue for the governing body. Less classes equals less play-off/championship games which equals less $....it makes the world go round.
  10. I’m thinking you’re right about round 3 that region 5 has to travel to region 6 for the quarters. Yes the semi’s are on Black Friday, because the even # A’s championship games are on the Thursday after thanksgiving this year. Personally I’m not a big fan of a championship game on a Thursday, I wish they would put the private school championships the week after thanksgiving in a stand alone event and the public school championships the following week on Friday and Saturday. Just my $.02....
  11. Westmoreland will probably win big. With that being said no reason to be upset with last years game, can’t change it, just learn and live foward. Yes I’ve heard at least JB’s best RB is out, or at least he was last week I think.
  12. I agree. I know neither team wants to get anyone hurt, but it’s football. I get it, it’s a non-region game, but you’ve got to play to win just like any other game. They’re a good football team, but they’re not the big bad wolf!
  13. Well it all depends on wins and losses scenarios as region play pans out. Yes I see your point with Central beating Portland 30-0, but it’s still a long way to go in region play. I too have Central has my lone #2 in the region
  14. He’s not a Springfield guy, we don’t have a dog in this fight. Checks your facts before you start yapping about us
  15. No, I agree prob 3rd or 4th best team in region this year. I’ve said all along Central is going to be the dark horse out of the region this year. They’ve got a solid football team
  16. I can honestly say I thought White House would’ve been better than that. Maybe they are, maybe it’s like the Haywood game last, they got busted in the mouth and got shell socked. Then got steam rolled....
  17. Great game Jackets! Play with that intensity every week, they’ll be a tuff draw for anyone. On to the next one.....
  18. Springfield’s not looking too soft tonight. BDP has got the butter fingers tho
  19. Yeah that is the only plus side to sub-par opponents, is depth development. Wonder why you guys don’t play Beech on a regular basis, and before some smart donkey makes a comment it’s an honest question. Seems like these two schools would be natural rivals being as close as they are together, not to mention one heck of a gate every year.
  20. I too think Springfield’s biggest weakness is in the trenches, with depth being the issue. The last couple of games some of the younger players got in the rotation, so hopefully that will rectify itself. The coverage issues seem to be better in the past game, but Springfield will have to be on there toes against White Houses WR and looks like there qb can sling it. I think Springfield will be ok stopping the run and I hope the offense keeps clicking like they have been. All in all should be a great game come Friday night
