  1. I just did. The fact that you said the boys are not safe around him, and that no one should allow their boys to travel with him. I keep saying it, and you keep asking what you said. I just said it again.
  2. I have no issue with who you like or don't like. That's not a problem for me. My issue is with your statement that is hurtful and a lie, that no one should trust their kid around him. That is a straight out lie, and hurtful to not just him, but his family. That is what I am upset with you about. As for the money, I agree that the cost is way too high. I told him myself that my son will NOT be going to Fargo if that is the cost. I will continue to argue with him on this, and other topics regarding USA wrestling in TN. I will continue to agree with you on other things, but your statement about his caring for the kids is so wrong, and you should be ashamed. And anyone that supports that statement is wrong. And you and Rassling King trying to say I am Ben behind another screen name shows exactly where ya'll are right now.
  3. So you are admitting your hatred is over one weigh in? And I have been on record supporting you on what I knew about that situation. But darn man, grow up and let it go. Your son is having one heck of a career. Enjoy the ride.
  4. Saying that kids are safe around him is a lie and hurtful. And again, this is not Ben. I have been with CBHS since 2007. Long before Ben came around. But believe what you want. We have friends in common Bruce, that will verify that I’m not Ben. So ask around
  5. That’s the problem. There is not truth in what you said. Just hateful lies.
  6. First he is not even close. Go check how long I’ve been a member. Second, you wouldn’t like it if your son read these lies. And yes they are lies. I’m not saying I agree with everything Ben does, beck we have had our own arguements and I even side with people on the cost of this. But to spread hateful, and hurtful lies about a man you are also attacking his wife and family. You are wrong for this and yes should be ashamed.
  7. Ok I’m ok with the argument about the cost of the trip. I have had the same one myself, but to say this about Bowers is crossing the line. Totally over the line. You should be ashamed of yourself. All this because you had an issue with him a couple years ago over a weigh in? This is so wrong. He is in charge of kids all season and if anything he is too responsible. And those of you that know his boys, know they are great kids. And they were raised by him. So you are just spewing pure hatred that went way too far this time.
  8. I think you are wrong there. What I see is that he is trying to make us unified, and we go as "one". What I see is that there are some in the state, that do not want to participate in state events, and still want to go to Fargo as part of TN. Well, how does that benefit everyone? He is just trying to bring it all together under one, and because we have been doing our own things for so long, it is going to be painful at first. NOW, I agree, the cost needs to have a breakdown so everyone knows what the money is going for, etc. Hopefully we will get that very soon. I do think that going from $300 to $1500 is a rather drastic change, but he did at least explain what all was covered in that cost, but a further breakdown would be nice. But to say he only does what he wants is not accurate, there is a board and they do meet and vote on things. This is not 100% his decision. And like you said, there is always the option to vote new members in, but I don't see anyone wanting to stand up and put in the time that he does. So let's cool it for a bit, allow him to provide more information and have civil discussions about all this.
  9. I have no problem with people questioning the decision, or any decision at that, but the insults need to stop. First, people have family and kids and NONE of you would want your kids reading this crap. As for the cost, I have personally questioned it, and think everyone has that right. My point is, do it with some respect and thought in mind.
  10. That's not a lot to be bragging on. Really? I agree with Thunda, keep the insults off the board. Discuss, but don't insult.
  11. Not very good at weight cutting? Really? I've seen him drop 10 lbs in a day, when he didn't have it to cut. We learned a lot from him on how to cut. He was very good at it during middle school and early high school years. My guess is that he grew tired of cutting, and decided to just wrestle at whatever weight he was at during his senior year. (which is what a lot of great wrestlers do)
  12. I think Isbell just showed he is also going to the next level. So again, yes he would be the favorite, but easily win it. I don’t agree
  13. Hey didn’t win it so easy over Isbell at Bradley. That match could have gone either way. So I wouldn’t say it’s not even close
  14. I never said that the split helped it grow. I just said making to one does not do that either.
  15. You guys are preaching this for your own personal agendas. Yes it would be great to see one division. But exactly how does that “grow” the sport? That just makes the top prize worth more. But other states have more divisions than TN and their numbers are up. Growing the sport starts at the youth level. Not at the high school level. Way too tough to start wrestling as a high schooler.
  16. Ok, I won't get into this childish name calling, but to further add to your point, Artilies beat Haney on top of that, by PIN fall
  17. all ya'll listening to yourselves? You sound like grade school kids arguing on who's daddy can beat up who's.
  18. Calm down, no one highjacked the thread, it's called sidebar and from your original post, which was very good and everyone has said they agreed with it and liked it (as did I), it brought up the question on what happened in that match, and that lead to other discussions. Happens in 99.9% of every thread on any discussion board. And I really didn't see where anyone specifically bashed any kid. Everyone knows how good Mason is, and are quickly learning how good Peterson is. But they were the 2 in that match, so yes their names will be brought up. No one bashed them, I think we all have respect for them. I did however call out the parents, and one in particular, because I thought that was way too much (but mine was more in defense of the kids, which I will always watch out for)
  19. I’m just saying, this wasn’t a lack of knowledge. Just a missed opportunity
  20. Really honest and well worded post. From what I have seen of Mason in the past, he has always carried himself well so his reaction to the crowd and even the chippiness on the mat was fine to me. What really got to me was the fans yelling for stalling like they did. BEYOND ridiculous, and happens way too often. Cheer for your own wrestlers, not against someone else. And the part the blew me away, was a man, and I'm assuming he was a Baylor fan, yelling at the cheeleaders from FR. Seriously, we want our kids to act a certain way, but display behavior like this? I can get over a knee-jerk reaction, but this went on for more than 10 minutes and was intentionally trying to get a reaction out of kids. Look, wresting is a tough sport, and gets intense. But when parents start directing their comments at another kid, it crosses the line. So to me, the issue was not between the 2 wrestlers, the issue was how the parents of both sides handled things. YELLING at a wrestler when he is leaving the floor? REALLY PEOPLE? What do you think he is going to do?
  21. Honestly, I thought I remember hearing a bunch of complaining last year when they were spread out, that you couldn't sit in one place and watch all the matches. I will say this year seemed to be jammed up, but maybe that was because there were more people there this year.
  22. Ivey doesn't know how to throw in a boot? Really? Seems that I have seen him do this 1000 times already
  23. It would have been next year, not this. And no, that wasn't fair either. I'm not putting this all on anyone, but to say that this is an even playing field, its not even close. But, lets be honest, they went to a school that did not have wrestling, and were allowed to wrestle for another school. Maybe the change to the rule should be to allow the kids that have already participated in sports with the other school, so simply transfer as a student to that school. Thus you handle all issues.
  24. Too many empty seats? Really? I have never seen that place that crowded as it was on Friday afternoon. Crazy BUSY
