  1. T$$AA forces teachers to pay to get in. This is not smart because the presence of teachers helps keep the students' behavior under control. I once overheard a teacher say he was not dealing with any problems because he had to pay to get in.
  2. You summed it up very nicely. Their players acted without class all night long. Somehow, Amannamedhorse thinks that is equal to a kid climbing up on a statue. Sorry, guy. A kid from Cornersville getting up on your beloved statue does not justify your ponies acting like donkeys all evening long. The whole topic is pointless now anyway. Our kids are still playing. Amannamedhorse's kids are not. Everything that needed to be said was said on the field.
  3. You beat me to it! I wonder if there have been any U-Haul sightings near the "magic carpet?"
  4. Huntingdon is a classless bunch and got the exact outcome that was deserved. In Cornersville, we won't tolerate our kids acting like that. Football is about more than simple wins and losses, and Huntingdon's coach is a failure when it comes to teaching the other things.
  5. TSSAA will probably rig up another first round bye for them to go along with the shady mid-season transfers.
  6. So, who will handle the paperwork for more mid-season transfers to Greenback with everyone on vacation next week?
  7. Coach Stocstill is a legend in Cornersville, but I will go ahead and say Coach Randolph is the best to ever walk the sideline in Frog Bottom. Years from now, it will be called Randolph Field.
  8. Maybe this will help. https://www.google.com/maps/place/300+Cochran+St,+Tiptonville,+TN+38079/@36.3752728,-89.4757113,525m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x8878e38a1cca455f:0xba836523f11ce3d!8m2!3d36.3752728!4d-89.4735226
  9. I never said they weren't good. I'm saying they are not great. They deserve recognition for making it to the 4th round. My honest assessment is they will not advance. I don't say that as a fan. I say it as a genuine assessment of reality.
  10. Lake County hasn't faced many serious challengers this year. I think their PF/PA numbers are inflated due to a light schedule, and they will be exposed next Friday night. Look for Cornersville to win by 17 points. The only thing left that can stop Cornersville from going to Cookeville is a flat tire.
  11. Excellent job, Bulldogs. Only 96 minutes remain between Cornersville and the gold ball!
  12. I will restate what I have already clearly said. Any team that has to resort to assault to win belongs at home. Now, did I say Wayne County? I don't believe I did. I was speaking in the general sense. There are teams that make a habit of this type of play. One bad apple in your bunch does not make your entire team dirty. I thought your boys handled themselves well, but if you have a kid who is assaulting other kids after the play, that needs to be dealt with. Interest in the sport at the high school level is dying. The number of kids playing football is in decline. Stuff like this is part of the cause. Your argument of "sign your kid up for cheerleading or golf if you don't like physical sports" is a tired and false argument used by those who seek to justify unsportsmanlike behavior. I said injuries happen. I can accept kids getting hurt during play. Assaults committed after the play have no place and should be disciplined. Surely, no reasonable person thinks it is okay for a kid to go to work on another kid's body and break bones just to disable his opponent. That is barbarism, not sportsmanship. Would you be happier if every kid left on a stretcher? I agree, the refs were terrible. They called penalties where there were none and failed to call them when they should have. Also, name calling never leads to useful conversation. I am not an idiot. I just have higher expectations when watching football. I prefer a matchup of talent, not a string of ambulances.
  13. I enjoy reading most of your posts, but I've got to disagree with this one. This kind of stuff is what causes parents to keep great athletes out of football. Injuries happen, but no one wants their kid to be assaulted while trying to play the game. If a team can't win on talent and has to resort to this stuff, they deserve to be out of the playoffs.
  14. The refs working this game were absolutely terrible. TSSAA should be ashamed putting such low quality referees in a playoff game.
  15. I was complimenting WC. They looked better than their record indicated.
  16. How did WC lose 4 games in the regular season?
  17. WC was not overly impressive against a Huntland team that was dismantled by Cornersville. It's another party in Frog Bottom, 35-0.
  18. I love seeing so many of you picking Huntingdon to beat Cornersville. Our kids enjoy the underdog role. It gives them that much more to prove. Our first string is looking forward to actually playing a full four quarters against somebody.
  19. Huntingdon won't be able to hang with Cornersville this year. No disrespect intended toward them, it's just a fact. Anyone who is being honest with himself knows it. Greenback will be the only legitimate competition the Bulldogs see all year. Unlike the fans, myself included, these boys do not look past anyone. They will be ready, week after week, to destroy every team that lines up in front of them. See you in Cookeville.
  20. You must be confused and think they are playing your Rockets this week.
  21. That is true, and it was all our kids could do to avoid putting 100 points on the board. I doubt anyone showered after since they didn't break a sweat.
  22. 63-0 Final. It was impossible to avoid running up the score. The kids can't just sit down and stop playing.
