  1. Because Allan helped Bradley as well. Not as much but like I said to keep them competitive. Ben had a sod project with Lee University that we did during preseason. Allan said he would match it dollar for dollar. When invoices were turned in Allan called Ben a liar. So all of that money we raised went towards paying for hotel rooms and food for our guys. And travel. Allan gave us a charter bus for Duals. It was an old dilapidated bus that broke down halfway there. So we got picked up in Cleveland’s charter.
  2. And as far as Toby going bankrupt? You can thank Jones for having a helping hand in that as well? He duped Toby into some bad business deals and would pull out. That’s part of Toby’s fault for listening to him. Allan came to my grandparents house on North Lee Hwy and wanted to buy it the property next to them as well as the house down from them just so he could bulldoze it down and put that monstrosity that he lives in now. I was there when it went down. Basically my grandpa told Allan to kick rocks. Allan smarter off and that’s when you heard the shotgun rack. Allan left. He wanted Toby to drive by his mansions everyday.
  3. Bradley has done a lot for itself. But Allan has only helped so much to keep them competitive. He will tell you that himself. Gotta have competition to keep from getting stagnant. Those were words he told me back in the day. And I’ve never forgotten them. Yes he has backdoor’d funds into that program. No doubt. But its not as much as one thinks. Been there with both programs.
  4. Josh has done an outstanding job. But…Heath Eslinger, Al Miller, Al Morris, along with myself and Carlos Thompson were the original founders of Higher Calling. Heath in the beginning wanted us. But eventually we were phased out due to Allan wanting to take the Club to a higher level and felt that we didn’t have the clout behind our names. So in comes Mike Hatcher. Which I have no ill will or animosity against any of them. We didn’t fit into their plan(s). Al Miller wanted all of the city elementary schools to have wrestling. And then be able to have a city dual meet tournament as well as individual tournament. They tried it. It failed. So that’s when everything got revamped and Hatcher stepped in. Then Josh came along. So all in all Allan has pumped money in. But it doesn’t go to the kids or parents now. It use to help the underprivileged kids. But now it’s grown into the juggernaut. And is basically a stand alone club. When I had Cleveland Youth Wrestling (before Higher Calling) I, myself, as well as my other coaches did get paid. But it was maybe a couple hundred bucks every two months? And that was pre Allan funds. We clawed and scratched to get our club to the top. But without the help we couldn’t do it. Gotta have help to get where you are going. But yes Josh came in at the absolute right time.
  5. Match wasn’t even close in the finals. Cleveland locked it up early and forfeited out.
  6. Yup good luck to you guys as well as all the others traveling. I’ll be watching it back here in Bradley County
  7. But Cleveland has always played the out of bounds line. Heck we were doing it back in the Miller days…haha
  8. And you know where they are weak they’ll shave those points. They’ll play the edge and tie up those wrists.
  9. If you guys pull it off and I hope you do…man will the State be partying…
  10. What was the score at Cleveland Duals? I wanna say that Summit went up on them then? Wasn’t 19-0? But Cleveland wrestled behind. For like two or three matches? I just don’t see Summit matching up with them? And if memory serves correctly…Cleveland locked it up and forfeited out to them?
  11. It’s your parents. I get it we are all grown adults but you guys have been “fanning the fires” on one of them. Applauding him along. But like I said I’ll Shutup when you guys reprimand him. Just sayin.
  12. Great rebuttal btw. We will start talking wrestling when you guys decide to reprimand some of your parents. It’s alright for Cleveland peeps to bash on another program? But then when peeps fire back you act like the victims? Sounds like narcissistic behavior. I’m looking forward to Region next weekend. We will see if any of you guys approach me. I look forward to it. It’s easy to bash someone behind a keyboard and screen. But when it comes to seeing peeps in the flesh then it becomes a different story. Just sayin…
  13. Because you got your facts wrong. I keep telling you to do your homework and study the history of your school before commenting. But then again it’s like someone opening a book in the middle and trying to understand. That’s the problem with some of the parents.
  14. Haha…Tygaard himself even said this was the first year he’s had this many wrestlers come out for the team. And they haven’t been to the playoffs in four years. Bahahaha. You make me laugh hysterically. I get it your new to the area or County. But C’mon man those teams right there with those guys wouldn’t even stand up to us.
  15. Better than any good Soddy team(s). The last couple of years.
  16. Wrong… This was the first season in about four or five years Cleveland has made the playoffs. And this is the first year in a long time that a lot of football players have come out for wrestling.
  17. What? Consolations (Wrestlebacks)? Yeah…there is no way they are beating Cleveland. Summit got destroyed by Cleveland at the Cleveland Duals. I get it the lineup wasn’t set. But come on now…
  18. I agree it shouldn’t. But I feel it somewhat does? I mean how else do you explain all of this? I mean we’ve hit this topic from all angles.
  19. You are so wrong on this one. Yeah we don’t like each other. But as mentioned before “we” use to travel together during the Spring and Summer months under “Black and Blue” which btw back in the day was probably one of the baddest clubs in Tennessee. And if we weren’t wrestling each other we definitely cheered one another on. Just because of the training we all did together. And in recent years we have each taken each other’s guys on trips with travel squads. And a lot of these guys hangout with one another during the season and offseason.
  20. It’s happened to both WC and Bradley in years past. I know Pete as well. I coached the kid all the way from Kids Club to High School. Although it sucks. I’m sure he will use all of that as motivation. But let’s not act like all of this hasn’t happened before. yes change needs to take place. But until you get the two out that’s in control of our sport it’s not going to change. I hate it as well. Cause one of those guys is a former Cleveland guy. Who wrestled for Pete’s dad. I hate it and I’m all for the change to the system as well as the venue.
  21. Yeah. it’s due to renting the facility and whatnot. Cow Palace is free. They make total profit. Little to no overhead
  22. Something needs to be done during the off season to get this right. But as usual T$$AA doesn’t care. I mean we are in the “Cow Palace” I know I know this is another one of those tired arguments. Might as well bring it up now than later. But the TSSAA needs to be held accountable.
