  1. From TSSAA website. If it was a typo your AD better get on the horn and get it corrected before somebody protests it. Address 525 2nd Ave South Loretto, TN 38469 Enrollment (Actual):531 Enrollment (Classification):531
  2. Fiirst half I thought the Lady Rebs were gonna pull the upset. Ferris better get those girls tuned up. They didnt play much team ball tonight but managed to get the W. Davis not being on the floor definitely hurt McKenzie.
  3. Can you enlighten us on how Loretto is 1A with 531 students enrolled?
  4. The fact someone from 14A is even commenting is laughable.
  5. I have been to GC when Butler played and it was packed standing room only for only two teams playing. I personally dont like to pay and stand for 8 quarters. Especially when there are options and the colleges are accommodating.
  6. Two 10 minute warmups over 5 days doesnt get anyone accustomed to any gym but would still rather not give any team a home court advantage.
  7. But i am not whining about it unlike you. I am glad it is here. It put four teams on the floor with no homecourt advantage for anyone and lots of room where you are not sitting in a opposing teams lap. No team should have a homecourt advantage to be fair to everyone. But go ahead and cry a river how GC is being so mistreated.
  8. It was UC’s year to host and their gym cant accommodate the crowds is why we are at UTM. What about the other districts playing at Bethel for both??? The only people crying about is the GC fans. I think everyone else is good with it. If your team has the attitude you claim they have why are you crying and making excuses about it????? You are obviously worried about getting put out like last year.
  9. Total BS.....i am sure every team here could care less who and where they play. You think someone is afraid of GC lol? This was decided way early in the season before anyone had a winning record. Our girls loved the atmosphere. Really a neutral court is to everyones advantage. How do you come up with that it is fair to play on one of yalls courts??? What if every District 14 team gets knocked out first round? How is that fair for us to travel all the way over there for a championship game like last year where it was standing room only and people were watching from the doorways? It seems you are already building the case for your girls to lose. This venue is the perfect place to prep for Murfreesboro. Again it was not your year to choose.
  10. Maybe for a single game but not a regional tournament. I have been there when it is packed and it was only two teams. Four teams no way! UTM and the city of Martin is alot better host and more accommodating for all. Good luck to GC they have played too good this year.
  11. Two things.....District 14 hosted last year so it would not had been at GC and second GC couldnt hold the fan base for all the teams. You would know that by being at TCA last year and seeing the crowds District 13 brings. Playing two games on that floor doesnt give anyone a advantage over the other. Especially when the first region game is at a regular gym.
  12. Agree. That gym changes everything for everyone. Seen several girls airball shots both games that they normally wouldnt airball. The size, layout, type of goals, and dimmer lighting throws off depth perception if you don’t play on them regularly.
  13. Childress is a junior. She will be a beast next year too. She got that first step that is hard to defend. They do alot to only have 7 girls on that team. Only losing 1 senior and have a huge crop of incoming freshmen next year. I think Peterson has came along way since she moved to Dresden. She still averaging around 12ppg and 6 or 7 assist every night. She wasnt getting them assist at Clarksburg. Ball control and fundamentals has really improved for her this year (not sure West had anything to do with that). She got several schools looking at her but I have not heard if she has gotten any offers yet. Washburn is lights out when she hitting.
  14. You taking what I say wrong and you can’t judge anything by summer camps. Our coach doesnt even play his starting 5 together at camps. Yall did beat us by 6 at Bethel and our PG didnt even play that game. Loretto is a very good team and definitely should make it to the M’boro. I just don’t see where they have played a schedule like Greenfield, Dresden, Gleason, or Gibson County. Good luck to the Lady Mustangs. I hope everyone makes it there healthy so we can see who the best is!
  15. I agree. Burton has really stepped up the last half of season. Big time rebounds tonight. On the Dresden side, West needs to turn Peterson loose. I seen her playing in AAU and when she was at Clarksburg. When she goes it is hard to stop that little girl. Calls just wasn’t going her way tonight. Childress maybe one of the best 2 spot in 1A. Regions is going to be hard to beat at UTM. A shame TSSAA doesn’t align one of the Weakley County schools in District 11.
  16. Easier to make regionals when there is less than 50 teams in your classification. Tennessee has 112 in each classification.
  17. Can someone explain how Loretto is in 1A with an enrollment of 531 students??? Just curious when the cutoff is 494 per TSSAA. They have more kids than Scotts Hill who is 2A.
  18. Actually half of 5A falls under Tennessee 1A. The cutoff for Tennessee 1A enrollment is 480.
  19. Exactly.....and to quote Max Prep is a joke when half the teams don’t even use it or report their scores.
  20. I say top 4 from every district come in and then you play every night single elimination until there is a winner. Let’s see who is conditioned to battle it out!
  21. First of all I don’t have a player in it. My point is there are lots of girls that have alot more accolades over their career than just good stats for one season. I also wasnt referring to just single A or even Karly. I was referring to all classifications. Second I know every team you have played in Alabama. I scout for several organizations and I can tell you Alabama Single A ball is not on par with Tennessee Single A ball. Maybe two out of your list could compete with the top teams in Tennessee. No doubt Karly is a good player and one of the best freshman currently but to claim she is the best in Tennessee is a load of manure. If you get to state and win it then you can come on here and claim she is the best in single A now. Miss Basketball is also not based on AAU rings and offers. Lots of girls have those so get over it.
  22. Exactly why Miss Basketball should be a culmination of their entire high school career and not one season. Too many girls selected playing weak schedules but on here because they take every shot and average 20 plus points a game....how many have been and won state? If you can’t get your team out of regions how good are you really???
  23. It is girls basketball and anything can happen.
