You don’t think they are a better team with #25 on the field? Red Bank has to travel to Loudon. They also have a big receiver that can go get the ball. I think it will be a good test.

Loudon has been a different team since their QB returned. I believe this will be the toughest game for Red Bank yet.

It looks like they would have to beat Red Bank before they would play Alcoa. That will not be an easy task.

They went to 4A for a while but now they are 3A.

Red Bank squeaked one out against Central. It wasn’t pretty but it was a win. Hopefully this week everyone will be back healthy going in to district play against Signal Mtn. Not real sure how Signal is just yet. Anyone have any insight on them?

Thoughts on week 2 vs Central. I know the Lions are raring to go with the cancellation last week. Should be a decent game but think the Lions will come out on top.

It wasn’t like they beat the brakes off of them. It was 2-1. McMinn had a couple of big plays and the rest of the time they couldn’t move the ball. If Red Bank hadn’t had some dropped balls it would have probably been 5-2 for the Lions. One good thing that came from it, it didn’t count and saw some things they need to work on. They will be fine.

I think you can flip 1 and 2 but the rest looks about right.

Red Bank's Calvin Jackson commits to Wofford. Great kid and student. Wofford is lucky to get such a special athlete. He will excel there because of his character and determination. He is a shining example of Red Bank Football and I am very proud he has this opportunity to represent his family, team, school, and community.

Why do you think they can't win on the road?

I will say I am impressed with the new coach. I believe the kids have already bought in to his style of coaching. It appears the success of the past few years should continue under his leadership. The Lions could have another deep run this year if a couple players step up and the help of a couple new kids to come in to the program.

I wish Coach Grabowski well and do believe Copper Basin will see success with him as coach.

Signal returns several skill players but are inexperienced at QB. Not real sure about Sweetwater and Brainerd but Red Bank should be good again this year. They lost quite a bit on defense but return some players that can fill in and their offense should be pretty explosive. I think Loudon will be pretty good too.

How do you all think you will do in the district this year?

That's why you need to pull for the Lions. It's ultimately the kids who put in the hard work, lift all the weights, practice all summer, and play the games.

Any one of those three teams will have to go through Red Bank before getting to the semis. Sequatchie was the only one that kept it close last year as Red Bank beat them, York, and Smith County.

It seems you have a new coach. I saw on a website that the former red bank coach is now the head coach there.

Thoughts and expectations on how the Lions do this year? Another semifinal run in the cards? I know they have a new coach and lost quite a bit on the defensive side. They will be young up front on offense, but return some really good skill players.
